Integrate with MacOS notifications
Notifications built into the OS (which all apps I've seen use other than Outlook and now Teams) are more functional and allow for more user control. Most importantly, they honor Do Not Disturb settings, which is critical.
We are continuing to work on this feature. As with Windows notifications, we are also doing work to give users the choice between Teams notifications & Mac notifications.
We will update you as work progresses.
The great Microsoft Teams quiz:
1. When will Microsoft Teams receive native macOS notifications?
A) In 2 months.
B) In 2 years.
C) In 2 centuries.
D) Never. Microsoft does not care about their customers.
Wow.. after 2 years and they are still working on it. And this is an enterprise level app?
I miss SO MANY messages every day because of the non-existent macOS Teams notifications. Soooo frustrating.

This is a shame. The current notifications system is irritating.
Getting things done!
Waiting on the update from you since February
Because the notifications aren't integrated, they appear behind other system notifications, which makes them less than useful. Please, please fix asap.
Please add this feature
This would be a great enhancement. I usually cannot read my Team notifications because of native Mac ones layering on top. (And they usually disappear before I can get to them).
As it stands, the current Team notifications are unhelpful beyond a simple alert without information as to what that alert is.
I love teams. This would be a great enhancement. I have the issue where my Mac OS notifications layer on top of my teams notifications, which makes them impossible to read.
Another milestone: didn’t make it in the first half of 2020. Congratulations Microsoft 🎉!! Nice job, awesome!
I'm tired of having my notifications appear when I am presenting. I'm also tired of people being ignored here for months.

There is one thing Microsoft needs to understand. Mac users are not Windows users. If you want to be successful on a Mac platform you need to make your software optimized for macOS.
Teams is a great software and you guys keep improving it constantly, but it is designed for Windows in the first place. So, on a Mac it still looks like a Windows app (fonts, design elements, native scrolling, etc.). If at least, you could give us the native macOS notifications, we may ignore the fact the app looks like Windows... Thank you!

I can't even begin to imagine what kind of internal corporate breakdown has to have occurred at Microsoft to allow something this important, and obvious, to go unaddressed for *so* long. Shame.
This is a daily annoyance -- please reprioritize this.
Yes, please please please – are there any updates on this? The last word from you, Microsoft, was in February ... can you at least let us know how close we are to seeing this? It's super, super annoying to have Teams notifications show up behind (thus, making them pointless since you can't see them) native MacOS notifications.
Any update on this? My team is missing notifications because they appear behind the native notifications. Additionally, Teams notifications do not respect "Do Not Disturb" mode, leading to people quitting the app entirely.
We're still weighing Slack vs Teams, but if Teams doesn't support native notifications, we have no choice but to go with Slack.

Any updates on when this might actually happen?
