a) Outlook Web
b) Create a Meeting, no attendees, but flag as Teams Meeting. I named mine as "Myself".
c) Join the meeting from Outlook, and start it
d) Open chat inside the meeting, and type something
e) Exit the meeting
f) Delete the meeting
g) Find the chat for the meeting. Pin it.
h) Add Apps/Tabs, if you want to.

"Just start a "Meet Now" works. Thanks a lot!!!!

This feature would be greatly appreciated by employees in our organization who are migrating from Slack to Teams. At the moment we are recommending the Meet Now trick, or pinning a OneNote tab to use. While this might work it would be great to have each option available.
This needs to happen. I have a lot of complaints about this and many my mine me teams being created.
Slack got bought out for almost $28 billion.... they must be doing something right

This feature helps to read something from your personal phone to send it to work laptop to keep the workflow better.

Yes, Please release feature like notes to self.
Please bring it with windows 11 :)
implement it please.
This worked! From Matt below "Just start a "Meet Now" (from the Calendar section located in the left sidebar) meeting with yourself and then type something in the chat and then close the meeting and the chat will continue to be in your chat history. You've just now created your own personal chat.
MS please make this easier by just adding the ability to start a new message with yourself. TY for your time.

This is extremely important. Please implement asap. One of the many reasons Teams is inferior to Slack.

this feature is very important, implement it please.
I desperately need this! Please allow us to chat ourselves and for history to be endless

This used to be able to be accomplished by saving an individual message from an existing chat, but new versions of Teams have created a new "Saved" list.
My workaround is to start a new Teams meeting Titled "Notes to Self" with just myself as an attendee. Once in the meeting send a single chat message and you will then have the chat history available to you in Recents.
That being said, it would be nice to simply be able to simply add a "Note to Self" option.
This feature already exists, but is non-obvious to find.

Great way for support agents to take notes while working. Basically another personal folder accessible on all your devices.

Would love this feature to be added. Makes a great way to send a quick message or upload a photo i can refer back to later. Used it a bunch in slack.

A couple of things missing
1. send a message to yourself - it's very to do so in Slack
2. In chat with multiple members - how to notify the whole group? @general, @teams @everyone or whatever - none of this works
