How can we make Microsoft Teams better?

Move channels into other teams

We would like to move a project (channel) between groups to keep the information, or be able to sort channels to our liking.

Yes please - We need this functionality. Indeed we would also like to migrate a channel from within a Team to make it a Team in it's own right.

Yes please. Using teams in schools requires a new team for each subsequent year group. Would be great if assignments could all be copied into a new team complete with files and resources but not chat.

With your permission I would like to propose an addition to the object of this discussion: "We would like to move a project (channel) between groups or different account in different tenant to follow the administrative changes of the companies we refer, to keep the information, or be able to sort channels to our liking".

I believe the default Alphabetical order only option is not the best, at times you need to order your channels in a certain way and we should have that capability

This would be invaluable when consulting with different business areas on their team/channel/SharePoint structure and finding out that we can merge multiple silo'd teams into a larger team -- the lack of keeping that prior history is a big drawback on getting folks to consolidate.

It would be nice if MSFT would provide a monthly update on the requests that have at least 5,000 votes.

By my count, there are only eleven (11) requests with more than 5,000 votes. This would communicate to all of those voters that it is indeed being worked on. Even if the feature is not ready, we will be much more satisfied by simply getting a message stating that "we are still working on this feature, but it isn't ready yet. Still shooting for 3Q", etc, etc.

es urgente esto sea posible, sobre todo cuando estamos en implementación ya que aun no hemos definido al 100% la estrucutura y surgen cambios .

We are currently restructuring a couple of departments that are currently separate teams. Upper Management wants to merge two departments into one department. It would be nice there was some type of Team Merge Utility Wizard that walks you through the process, asking how you want the channels in the Source Team in relation to the Target Team being migrated into. Notify you if there are duplicate Channel names and provide an opportunity to rename the Channel prior to migration. I'm sure there are a lot of other things that would go into a Team migration into another Team and it appears to be quite a challenge to make this happen. But, the Microsoft Teams development team can make this feature happen. It seem as though this would have been thought of during the design phase because Companies do go through reorganization processes at times which effects how the teams were initially setup under Microsoft Teams. Thanks.
