We are happy to announce the Microsoft Whiteboard feature is now generally available in Teams Meetings via the share tray.

Seems Whiteaboard cannot be used by Windows 8.1 users and those external to the organisation. Please enable this feature

Also add more functions like text, checks, shapes, etc not only pens.
You could do this things in Skype for Buisness or even Live Meeting. I don't understand why Teams is a downgrade in meetings in comparison with previous products. -

Agreed, allow the presenter to decide whether they want whiteboard sharing in their meeting or not don't force secure it against external parties (especially since you can get around it by installing whiteboard and then sharing that....)

This is so important. My browser-based guests must be able to interact with me on the whiteboard. This is an essential function that Skype for Business had, why restrict it in Teams?

The Whiteboard is currently not recorded when a meeting is recorded. Are there plans to add this functionality to the whiteboard? Currently this can be worked around by opening the standalone whiteboard app, screen sharing, and recording that, but that also requires inviting everyone in the meeting to the whiteboard if they want to edit it. Having everything in the teams meeting would be a better solution.

When will the Whiteboard in teams be out of Preview mode? When a team meeting is conducted and whiteboard is worked on the whiteboard tab does not appear after the meeting (like a 1:1 meeting where the whiteboard appears as a tab at the top). The whiteboard needs to be referenced in the conversation for the team at the very least.
It's very frustrating when you finish a team meeting and the whiteboard is nowhere to be found in teams so you have to logon to the whiteboard online to see all of them however they are not linked to any meetings.
Can someone please advise of the whiteboard status in Teams?

Almost 3 years since it's been requested and still nothing. Besides, they said Teams had feature parity with S4B - and such omissions prove it was a fat lie as it was already in S4b long time ago - natively, and not some 3rd party junk.
