Would like the ability to create a reminder or task from a message
In Slack there is an ability to click message options and set a reminder to take action on that message at some later date, e.g., remind me about this tomorrow or in 1 hour, etc. I think they use their "slackbot /" commands to create this reminder. In Teams, it would be nice to have this ability or to create a task to take action on a message at some later time. Thanks!
I really like the suggestion of creating an alarm on a message, so you come back to it. I’ve passed this on to our engineering team.
Meanwhile, here’s another feature you can utilize for the same purpose — use our “bookmark” button, which is in the upper right corner of every message. This will save that message or thread directly to your profile. To access your saved messages, just click your face in the upper left corner of the product. You’ll see a tab in the left rail that says “Saved.” This is like a list of little reminders.
Hope that helps! :-)

What reminds you to look at your bookmarks? That honestly just seems like a terrible work around. Why not just say look at your calendar instead?

The "try this instead" is not a suitable replacement for a notification / alert on a msg. Please make this suggestion an urgent priority.
The bookmark work around is not an acceptable alternative

If you want Microsoft to implement this feature, please vote for it at "User Voice" (multiple links):
@Tom Morgan created an official Teams App called "RememberThis", which proved that this could be done (as of Dec 2019 the app is still v1.0.0, so it is rather limited, but it works):

Saving a message does us no good if a reminder cannot also be received.
I was going to post this EXACT same question also... 80+ comments and 835 votes tell a product owner that end-users need this feature. I explored the bookmarking option, but this isn't a fix for my issue - I want Teams to nudge me, and this fix requires that I proactively remember that I've bookmarked something and then have to go find it. That's not a solution.
Do you really want to beat Slack? Listen to your community, provide visibility to your roadmap so they can see that you are, or are at least planning to, give them the capabilities they demand.
I was going to post this EXACT same question... I see that this was created three years ago though, and no changes have been made. I also see that there are 80+ comments, and most of them agree that we need this feature. Is there a reason this hasn't been addressed?

Please add in a reminder feature.
Please add this in as a feature... I have used this feature in #slack on a daily basis since it is: self-contained; quick to access; very convenient since I will often forget what my to-dos are Even when planned out nicely -- these quick reminders are Essential for me, and many others. Thanks!!
Yes please add the /remind feature and add to every message (click 3 dots to sub-menu with "remind me about this tomorrow/next week/this weekend/custom)
Also /remind as custom message with natural language ability!
"/remind me tomorrow to..."
"/remind me next wednesday to...."
"/remind me on mar 24 to remind Microsoft to add this feature!"
Please integrate MS Teams saved messages into Microsoft To Do app - I can't imagine how someone can manage 100+ saved messages on teams when you can't organize nor prioritize them
Please add task and reminder features to chat messages in MS teams. It is much needed. If possible with the same compatibility MS OneNote has with Outlook tasks.

A lot of us clearly really want this feature but there’s not a lot of progress. In the meantime I’ve created a Teams app that addresses this need and it’s now launched to private beta. I want to invite everyone in this thread to get in touch directly to join the beta, or even just to jump on a call (on Teams of course!) to see a demo.
At this early stage I’d greatly appreciate feedback to make sure the solution best solves the problem. Please contact me directly - hg[αt]chitchattr.com
Being able to both create a task and add a reminder to individual messages in Teams would be quite helpful. Our organization is finding that too many things get lost/forgotten in Teams. The bookmark option is too "hidden." We need notifications.

Ok...how about the capability for being reminded about a Saved Message? While helpful, simply adding it to Saved Messages isn't really meeting the feature bar - we need the reminder, and a notification. Our company is transitioning to Teams from Slack, where we found the /remind feature incredibly useful for a variety of scenarios. We've cobbled together an MVP solution using a Flow to send a reminder message to a channel after x minutes (along with a Flow Notification), but it's very stopgap while we figure out a better solution.
Yes pleeeeeeeease add this feature. It's been the most painful thing moving from Slack to Teams as a result of this not being present.

Yes, a Remind Me option and/or Bot is necessary.

Slack and Glip both have this functionality out of the box. Teams is severely lacking in reminders...
Agreed that if Teams is to replace email then this feature needs to be more prominent. Although you can now 'save' messages - a tab the left side navigation to filter Saved messages would be really helpful - even better if it creates a reminder.
One of my favorite Slack features is clicking on a message and using the "Remind me in X minutes/hours/tomorrow" option. Then those reminders would come from the bot. You can even just do something like /remind @me to do X at 3 pm and not have it related to any type of message or team. Very handy.
Without this feature, I have no reason to switch to Teams.

I want to create a Flow such that if I Save a message in Teams, a new task is created in Planner.
