Thank you for your continued feedback! We are happy to share that we have rolled out 800+ emojis to our Desktop and Web platforms, with Mobile rolling out in the coming months. This update includes 6 skin tone options, different genders for applicable emojis, and emojis featuring people with disabilities. Please note that you can also add native OS emojis using “Win + .” shortcut in Windows and “Cmd + Ctrl + Space” in MacOS.
Today, you can add a custom meme with your own caption in the Sticker/Memes feature. To learn more, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/send-an-emoji-gif-or-sticker-in-teams-174248c9-e64d-4de1-9f41-3199cc0751ad.

Great that we get more emojis but the idea of this vote was about custom emoji.
Do we have to create another vote that specifically only states desire for custom emoji and then wait 5 more years for it to even be considered?

Any time scales for this Alex?

looking for more reactions.....positive and negative
+1 for custom emojis, a broader range of reactions and gifs within Teams. The emojis don't reflect a teams culture and restrict expression and team bonding. Slack has been critical for our team, and will continue to be until Teams deals with this issue.
How can you use these as quick emojis (like a coffee mug) so that they appear next to the participant name (similar to where the raised hand appears)? We are needing a quick click and obvious indicator for attendees and meeting organizer. The profile status indicator isn't what we are looking for. For example, many businesses use the coffee mug emoji in WebEx to serve this purpose.
For example, someone says "who has the information?", and a reader who doesn't have it reactions "🤷♀️".
Just this, it gets to avoid that questioner need to confirm same question each colleague.
Plus, a person who has the information can reply at begin, and can keep the thread meaningful.
Cannot believe this is higher priority than fixing your microphone gain bug.....seriously....

Emojis improves the team morale - I don't agree with the comment below that emojis have no place in MS Teams which is specifically for colleagues to connect and communicate more casually. We've been working from home for a year now, and have no water cooler or social options. Emojis are fun and an easy way for people to express and connect.
I can guarantee pretty much 99% of companies using MS Teams want this functionality. The user voice vote count should be in the hundreds of thousands if you polled all your customers. Looking forward to MS modernizing this feature... this is needed to ease transitions off Slack
Have custom emojis stored in SharePoint storage even so you can charge us! :) At this point I don't care just want my employees happy!!!
Please add this feature.
In Lotus Notes Sametime it is working.
Should be easy to implement something like this in Teams
In Lotus Notes we can add all the gifs/emoteicons and others for free, unlimited, custom made etc.
why this feature is not implemented in microsoft temas?
Facepalm reaction in meetings will be great!
All emojis should be available as reactions with favourites appearing first
More support for GIFs from sources other than GIPHY. Being able to copy/paste or upload a gif image and have it show within the message instead of an attached file would be a feature loved by everyone on my team.
Add button for Custom gifs, short videos, and document upload would be a killing feature for the Teams. I miss this feature when using teams. I know this would be expensive and complex. But, keeping a low limit on the input file size, specific file type, and download on-demand only feature would be widely accepted as a first step and would give the Teams a huge front step over the competitors.
How often is the Giphy library updated. I see the USGBC has released new gifs, but they are not accessible in Teams.
Custom emojis would be a killer feature. Branded emoji and custom ones that capture a mood or character very specific to our universe.
Can you tell me if we will be getting a question mark reaction? We want to use it SOOO many times...

I know my team and I would LOVE the facepalm emoji to be a reaction.
