Thank you for your continued feedback! We are happy to share that we have rolled out 800+ emojis to our Desktop and Web platforms, with Mobile rolling out in the coming months. This update includes 6 skin tone options, different genders for applicable emojis, and emojis featuring people with disabilities. Please note that you can also add native OS emojis using “Win + .” shortcut in Windows and “Cmd + Ctrl + Space” in MacOS.
Today, you can add a custom meme with your own caption in the Sticker/Memes feature. To learn more, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/send-an-emoji-gif-or-sticker-in-teams-174248c9-e64d-4de1-9f41-3199cc0751ad.
Let us copy and paste gifs from the web into Teams chat please.
Just adding my vote to being able to add my own gif to a Teams chat please!

Thanks for adding more stock emojis. We still want custom emojis and reactions. This is not a complicated request. Slack has done it forever.

Voted! Specifically for more than 6 reactions to messages!

can you just implement the native emoji set (i.e., use Apple emoji on macOS and iOS) and make them available as reactions? please?
How the **** does something as stupid as this get higher priority than being able to show a calendar, archive a channel, move a channel, or delete a chat? Beggars belief...
Excited Hockey GIF can we have this kid back please
6 reactions is so not enough, it would be great if we could add any emoji to reactions (as in Skype)
The admin responses lead me to believe that you don't understand the problem. Adding emojis that can be typed into a text response doesn't solve the problem. People are asking to react to a message without responding. Your solution would be like telling Facebook users to type "LIKE" in responses to posts.
The goal is to provide multiple complex reactions without getting in the way of any conversation happening in the post's thread. For instance, I would love to respond to your messages pinned to this issue with a face-palm emoji without having to type in this long-winded response.
moved to Teams from Slack (no access to Slack in new company) and so disappointed there is no ability to add custom GIFS :(
What about reactions on messages? This is clearly more important than more custom gifs. Currently there are only 6 reactions, which is not enough for fluent communication.
It would be desirable that all reactions are also possible directly on the messages and that there are no restrictions.

This seems like a silly feature, but it's why people end up choosing different apps. For the love of god let us react to messages with *any* emoji.
definitely need the "thanks" reaction like there is in slack....
I work for one of the largest private organisations in the UK. Everyone has had a tough time over the last few years and I believe having the ability to create custom gifs and use them in teams would actually raise staff morales across the business. Think how much fun people could have - after signing waivers for it of course
What about reactions on messages? Are they comming? That is actually much more needed than adding additional unicode emojis. We need to have means to properly express attitude towards messages.
Native unicode emojis. macOS Emojis looks quite not good in chats.
It's great that the overall library of emojis has increased, but I find it very frustrating working with my Teams without the option to modify the reactions. It was one of the more utilized features in Slack. The current selection of reactions is not very helpful. Specifically, we'd LOVE to have a green checkmark and a red "x" to quickly be able to add yes/no reactions to posted questions! I have yet to see an instance we're we've needed the surprised, sad, or angry face (the last one doesn't seem very work appropriate at all)! I feel those type of "reactions" are more suited for an actual reply.

I'll add to the 'please let us add custom emojis to Teams for both chat and reactions' PLEASE
