Thank you for your feedback! Our team is currently working on a significant update to add a broader and more diverse selection of emojis to Teams. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
The ability to add custom emojis and custom reactions is still under review, and we will share an update as soon as one is available.
An "eyes" reaction would be handy. If not that, a custom reaction.
SLACK seems to have no trouble with custom emojis. It can be a helpful support for celebrations with company branding. Entirely professional and encouraging.

The ability to disable these functions in the Teams Admin Portal as well would be helpful
The first thing to do is to add all the "Skype Emoticons" to "Teams emojies"... you own both platform!
Also please improve the way we enter emojies by adding the same "shortcut" that we used in skype. Typing "(hend" show the possible emojies icon matching!
I'd think being able to react with a "?" or something would definitely be helpful so the poster is aware that clarification is requested...
"Teams is a professional tool used by businesses. Gifs, emojis and minecraft backgrounds have absolutely no place in Teams if you ask me." <- Okay, Boomer
Who the **** needs custom emojis, while you can't specify, where to download your files? Make basic functionality to work first!

Aguardando os emojis!
2016? Seriously? How hard can supporting custom emoji be?
It sucks not being able to :highfive: coworkers.
It's fun seeing the random ones coworkers upload surface as most popular, it's like the zeitgeist of the company.
I don't want to have to use the defaults for "reaction emojis" either. Why the heck can't I see the rest of the available ones?
While I'm ********, :man_shrugging: ? Seems like "man" is not the primary emotion there, so :shrugging_man: if you must?

Will this include more inclusive emojis, such as different skin tones etc., for representation?

Does that mean once more emoji are added which are "approved and enterprise-worthy for a safe work environment" that we will have to open another vote for custom emoji and start back at 0 votes?
The idea of this request is not more approved emoji but the ability for companies to add their own custom emoji.
IMO The most important one is the thumbs down. Every (re)action has to have an equal and opposite reaction.

I NEED CUSTOM EMOJIS TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH MY COLLEAGUES

/giphy do it!
Our company is not changing, before there are custom emojis. During corona times where communicating feelings are paramount, Teams just doesnt cut it without custom emojis, and I prioritize the health of my team first.
Well, the update is great news. We really need custom emojis and reactions, but one step at a time - and taking a look at the terrible state of emojis is progress. Thank you.
I fear you're gonna add only boring ones, it would be great if you could add at least the default ones:
we need espacially the wink, the party, the cool, the penguin, .. wait, we need all of them!
And a batman logo, really! you know, like good, better, batman. :p
Woohooo!!! Thanks for the update Alex!! Looking forward to the new update.
