Include Office 365 group calendar in teams
It would be good to be able to click on a calendar button on the left hand side to get a view of the Office 365 groups calendar as you would in the calendar app. Good for being able to look and get a glimpse of what is coming up with the group. At the moment I have to go back to the calendar to look at it.
The team continues to make progress on this. We will share more details as we have them.

Maybe just an Outlook Calendar connector / app / tab? If I can update an excel file in real time using 365, why not an outlook file?

I just setup a calendar in Teams by setting it up through a web link.
Here's a link on how to do it.
Now I can view our team calendar through a tab in our team channel.
I was trying to figure this out for a while and now that this works it looks great.
It's great being able to setup and see meetings through my group in both Outlook and teams.
Hope this helps.
Is there an update on this yet ? Its one stumbling block thats preventing me rolling out a Team in my business.

@Warren Please provide regular updates? I'm sure we would all enjoy some official word to maintain hope. Thanks.
Must, must, must have calendars integrated. We have numerous calendars such as Holiday & Sickness and a Company Generic for reminder dates for important events.
Yes please - a big gap.

Create a Microsoft Teams Application which allows the interaction and display within a Teams tab of the 'Office365 Groups' Calander
Suggestions for functionality could include
Tab: Show the Calendar and allow interaction for addition of events, etc
Message: allow in-line control
Bot: Allow queries like 'Whats scheduled for next week'
How does a collaboration tool such as Teams no have a basic function of a calendar integrated? This is insane. We have to use multiple programs to schedule meetings and other events, but Teams is supposed to be the 'end all be all'? Give me a break! This is one of the main reasons Slack is so appealing! It's a stinkin' calendar!

No sense of having a collaboration tool that is cumbersome to link "Specific" calendars to. It's at the root of collaboration to ensure that those with whom you would like to collaborate and share/delegate tasks with on a specific moment in time are NOT already committed for that day and time. The ONLY way to do that is to have available the specific calendar we would like to share with the members of our "Teams".

TIP: Any Calendar with URL can be added as Tab using "Web" app.
It does seem absolutely crazy to me that the MS Teams tool- that is supposed to coordinate team functions and files- has no native calendar ability for the team other than hacking a URL to group calendar that doesn't always work. Team without a group Calendar- its like building an airplane without brakes- sure its great at take off and flying, but its missing something fundamental to making it really useful.
Teams is a group collaboration tool. One of the main aspects of collaboration is managing and publishing teams event schedule/team calendar. What Teams has to offer in that regard?
I have channel for a team that does on-call rotation (1 week shift, 7 people, 1 person on duty each week). How can I make this on-call schedule visible to the team members, and actionable for the person on the rotation today? How can I sync this with team members personal outlook schedule?
I would like to use the channel for all on-call related communications for the team.

Thanks for the update. I hope part of this involves better integration with Teams and Groups. When I tried Teams a few months ago, we created a team based on a Group and discovered there were duplicate Groups getting created behind the scenes.

The ability to share a calendar would be very beneficial for long term coordination in a group.

Other than file sharing, this is more important than any other Tab for our existing teams.

Why not just add the group calendar from SharePoint as a tab in a Team channel? Seems like this would be easy development.

Agree with all the others - this feature is really important
Basic requirement folks, what's happening?

Any chance we can get an update on the status of this one? June 2017 seems like a long time ago.

it would be helpful to be able to use the + button within Teams and select calendars. For now as a work around we are adding a web link
