Grouping of notifications for mobile apps
I'd like to see the mobile apps either group notifications or show that you have "multiple notifications" (perhaps one for each chat), instead of as it is now when you get one for each single message - this quickly pollutes the message center.
This was done in July. I saw a few comments after July from folks who said they weren’t seeing this on their phones. Let me know if that’s still the case — just email at sparavi@microsoft.com. Likely it’s been fixed on your phones by now.
Thanks!

This has caused me to nearly uninstall the mobile app several times. I've gone to lunch and looked at my phone having easily 30+ individual notifications. One for each response to a chat and/or teams thread I'm involved in. While I can understand having a separate notification message for each type of notification (direct chat, each team thread, etc..) having 30 notifications for the same direct chat/teams thread is absurd and cumbersome.

I have settings adjusted so all notifications should be pushed, even when logged on my desktop, but nothing comes through. I can see a message was sent one I open up teams, but I need it to notify immediately if this is to replace what's app.

I just had this strange behaviour: I've posted a message with the windows mobile app. 3 hours later I opend up Teams.microsoft.com and saw that someone responded to my message just 1 minute after I've posted it - but I haven't received any notification.
About 15 seconds after I saw this on the Website, the notification got pushed to my smartphone. Coincidence? -

I agree. It could be a "Group Notifications" switch in the settings. It could simply bring you to the activity screen when opened, or most recent notification.

Without such capability It is difficult to replace WhatsApp

I agree. I get notifications if I select "Always" in the iPhone app settings, but if I select "only when I'm not active on desktop", which is what I want, I never seem to get notifications - even if I quit the desktop app entirely.

The push notification across mobile devices is not reliable. We need to be sure that the other side received the message with some delivery report (WhatsApp like) and some improvement on Teams Notification engine
