Multi-window for chats and more
I want to have separate top-level windows for each person I'm chatting with, rather than tabs.
Hooray! Multi-Window chat has been a long-awaited feature, and it is rolled out fully to the general public. Please be sure to “check for updates” and restart your client if you aren’t seeing it.

The rolled "pop out chat" does not have the focus for their own notification messages.
Please fix this...

The rolled "pop out chat" breaks the reply to format ">" that no longer creates the needed quite paragraph format.
Please do not break working things at least...
I love the new feature to pop certain teams conversations in a new window. PLEASE disable the doubleclick to open and leave the contextual arrow to the right. It's way too easy to accidentally open a window when you're switching to teams from another application.
Will this be available in the Web Client as well?
Are you serious? This new feature is not working correctly. Instead of flashing the pop-out-window in the taskbar when receiving a message, it flashes the main window. Even worse, even after you've read the message inside the pop-out-window, the main applications keeps on flashing. This feature is implemented in a way, that it does not give any benefit. After having waited for so long -- I can't believe this.
Having mutiple windows in general (like seemingly every other productivity related windows program) seems like a much more direct solution. E.g. Why can't I right click on a file and open it in a new window?

We need full multi-window not only for chat
I also would really like to be able pop out the meeting chat, participants list, etc.
It looks like we can pop out individual chats, but it would be really helpful to be able to pop out meetings and group chats. Especially when someone is sharing their screen and you want to see the full screen size.

Can we suppress/dismiss the toast notifications while a pop-out window is open?
when viewing just the pop-out window, lagged toast notifications appear every few minutes with any messages received in that window. Anyone else experiencing this?
I've observed an "issue" that I'm not sure if can be solved. When you have some separated chat windows and one person types you, the main Teams icon flashes in orange, but you don't know who typed.
Would it be possible for the chat window of the person who typed to flash? Also to stay orange until you open it?
Thanks in advance!
I saw some sort of floating windows but it is wrongly implemented. Please keep the contact and add-on panel in its own separate panel window. Open the chat panel in a separate floating windows and only when you select a particular contact. Please allow to re-arrange the groups in the contact panel in any order, right now it is forced by first letter in ascending order, please present the groups in the contact panel auto-collapsed.

I agree with the other recent comments here-
It is highly appreciated to get the chat pop-out so quickly and now there are a few more things we could do it make it even better.
It would be nice if the entire Chat function of Teams could be separated into it's own window. That way all of your notifications, calling features, and multiple chat sessions could be managed separately from other things such as meetings.
This has been released btw
It s feel great to talk with someone in different windows, but the most need for this was also for Team meeting in a seperate windows and keep an eye on Team app for other purpose. Will Team meeting be available soon as well in a sperate windows?
Also, we cannot call someone from the chat window. I have to then go to the main Teams screen to call or share.
I would like to support Diego's comment. You should fix the notifications - when you click on the notification banner you are taken to the main application and not chat window opened befor. Also if you miss banner you cannot see in which window new message appeared (only main Teams window is blinking).

Received the update, great feature but sad to say you missed to add the pop out button on the pop up notification balloons. If you are on a teams or file and receive a chat you want to respond without leaving where you are, you need the pop out button on the pop up notification. otherwise, you click on it, the you pop it out and have to return back were you left.
Shall I raise a new idea to get this added or will this comment suffice?

Any update to when this will be available? Can we get a beta version now? See multiple dates in the thread that have come and gone
This is a Huge gap in Teams functionality, Skype whcih is being EOL had this for years, over 20,000 votes and request opened for almost 4 years. Amazed this was not obvious to your UX team when Teams was initially released.
