Multi-window for chats and more
I want to have separate top-level windows for each person I'm chatting with, rather than tabs.
Hooray! Multi-Window chat has been a long-awaited feature, and it is rolled out fully to the general public. Please be sure to “check for updates” and restart your client if you aren’t seeing it.

Please hurry with this feature! It is making adoption of Teams difficult. Thanks!
This would be very beneficial for us as well - please implement.

We really need this feature now, otherwise, our user won't use teams. They are so used to Skype for Business chat window and expecting the same capabilities with Team chat.
We have been forced to move to teams and this is really annoying me. Please hurry!
Our company is waiting for this feature before we go full Teams only mode. Will this out Q1 or Q2 as we need to plan accordingly? Thanks.
I'm with David and others on this one, it is very disruptive. Any update on the release date please?

Can we please know when you are planning to release this - ASAP would be great. We have just switched wholesale from Skype to Teams and the productivity drag of only being able to have one thing open at a time is insane. Every time someone messages me I have to stop work on documents shared in the Team channels until the chat ends. The current setup is a bit like having Outlook be only able to have one window open at a time.
We've used Lync then Skype for years and just started migrating. The amount of screen real estate taken up by this single window UI is absurd. Being able to pop-out chats to their own tabbed window a la Skype is a much much better UI decision. Teams now reminds me of Slack (which I also cannot stand to use because of this).

Multiple screens would be very helpful. If you're in a document and you want to go another menu-option, you have to leave the document.
Just saw a new commercial on TV selling Teams this weekend - maybe stop running the add and divert the monies saved to getting this fixed? and then start running the ad again?
where is the Article on the roadmap? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Teams&searchterms=multi#owRoadmapMainContent
PLease give us an update on this, currently it is not on the Microsoft 365 roadmap!
As a company, we have just migrated to Teams and it is frustrating that I have to keep going backwards and forwards to different, teams / chats etc and I can't open multiple tabs. I want to be working on a team and be able to have a chat with someone at the same time!

This is will be a game changer for how we use Teams. Having this functionality will provide a great improvement for privacy & information security when we're sharing a screen and presenting Teams Meeting and Chat content.
Anxiously awaiting this capability!
Hello - is there any update on this? I can't see it on the roadmap? Thanks
Where is the countdown, cant wait any more!! Please please release it now!
Hello - do you have an update on this? It's a very important capability.
