Multi-window for chats and more
I want to have separate top-level windows for each person I'm chatting with, rather than tabs.
Hooray! Multi-Window chat has been a long-awaited feature, and it is rolled out fully to the general public. Please be sure to “check for updates” and restart your client if you aren’t seeing it.

today is Feb 13, 2020. Is this already going to be available really soon ? this feature is a big ASK from many users and we're killing skype by end of this month , switching to TEAMS and we hope to share this good news if possible.

Hi, where is this?

It would be great to have an update on this.
This is well over do, because being apart of multiple teams, it is a headache going between teams and the teams content in one instance of MS Teams.

When rolled out will it be enabled or disabled by default?
Thanks in advance!
We need this feature as well. How do I get notified when this is rolled out?
Yup - it is already early 2020. Please provide update soon!
"Early this year" - Can you define this @alex?
Now that it is "Early next year", can we expect this feature any day now? Please and thank you!

Please, I need this
This is a great idea. I'm so annoyed with having to press the back button all the time!!
I love trying different vendors. I used Chime and it chimed in to a nicety :) . Sameness is boredom :
). Can we integrate with others like Slack, Chime etc ... :)

It is now early next year
Any update on availability?
Our organization really needs this feature to get people on board and move away from Skype!! Any updates?
Hi, is the support for multiple Teams Windows coming out soon?
It would greatly enhance the usability of the Teams.
supporting multiple customers using teams requires the use of multiple instances otherwise we end up using GoToMeeting or Zoom
Skype had option to include distribution list into contacts but Teams doesn't have . Are you guys working to include this feature ?. . Finding hard to find people in a team who is online always to chat with them .
dear god, it's 2020 and I can't see more than one thing at a time in teams!
I could have tabbed conversations in trillion a decade ago. I could "pop" those conversations out into their own window.
I can't have a teams conference running and see it on one monitor and still see my many conversations going on with other teammates at the same time.
I can't view a document or file and then at the same time see another conversation or channel.
I want to be able to split view and see both individual conversations and channel conversations at the same time.
How is it possible to design a MULTI purpose tool (meetings, chats, file sharing & concurrent editing) in SINGLE instance SINGLE Window GUI? Impossible to think of replacing Skype for business that way - and I'd love to do this the sooner the better.
"Early this year" typically ends in March. Also, are we talking more than chat windows?
We launched O365 and talked up Teams in 2018, but frankly, the momentum has been lost because users quickly found a lot missing from Teams. First, they disliked being unable to open multiple documents or feared leaving the conference call window. There is also a big problem with the less than full-screen screen sharing, but that's another topic.
