Live editing of tabbed documents
This would apply to all things. I find it cumbersome that I need to open a new tab to edit the document that is right in front of me. Would love to be able to edit right there in that tab and see others doing the same. Collaboration levels would increase.

When you select a document in Teams it opens the embedded web version of the Office application which enables you to edit “inline” as you’ve described without having to open another tab. Hopefully, you’ve seen this and tried it out. Thank you!

I agree, this would be a huge improvement, and would really help us being productive as a team. Sharing documents, but not being able to edit them as we comment/review them is a real obstacle.

I am referring to the desktop application in this instance but I'd imagine it translates to the mobile one as well.

Currently when I have an Excel file as a tab i have to either open Excel online or the desktop app. It would be easy if basic Excel functions or Excel itself was embedded in MS Team. I'm fine with it but I know this will be a complaint and lead to people not contributing because it's just one too many steps.
I am talking bare-bone capabilities. No formatting, just text. Maybe an Edit text ability?

As a setting - I have a tabbed document that I don't want anyone but me to edit.
