Need full capabilities of Planner in Teams
Right now you can add a new tab for Planner in Teams. However, you are not afforded all the capabilities of Planner in this tab. Its really "Planner Lite." Here are some items you cannot do with Planner in Teams:
1) If you create a Planner in Teams, it will not be shown in Planner itself!
2) you can go to the group (in web outlook) wich is automatically created for the team and click there on planner and it will take you to the planner for the new group, which then cannot be displayed at teams, but the team was the purpose for the group in the first place?!
3) You cannot import a previous Planner into teams; you must recreate manually
4) Planner tasks do not sync from Planner to Teams
5) You can't get reminders for your Planner tasks in Teams
6) You can't choose different views (charts, etc.) of Planners when in Teams
7) You can't group by Progress of Planner items when in Teams
8) No view of Planner Hub
Please integrate Planner in Teams better and integrate Teams in Planner better!!
The last item in the original list, #5, is covered in https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/17017147-notification-for-planner-tasks. That one (planner task notifications) is currently in internal testing with a target for release in early Q2.
Because there are many different requests in the comments which makes it hard to update and track status of individual items, we are marking this completed, and will user individual UserVoice items to track any further Planner integration. If you have suggestions in the comments below that don’t have an existing UserVoice item, please feel free to create one.

I'd like to be able to @mention someone in the comments on a Planner task. That way the specific person will be notified.
I would really like to see the functionality to see the progress of tasks in charts in the Teams similar to Planner. Teams has a lot of potential.
I dont understand why the planner appears in teams is not the same the planner in Web access ?
Reporting and printing in Planner and Teams would be great.
Yes adding my vooice to this thread especially items 3 & 4

Please integrate planner hub and buckets inside teams.

The Planner should have the same features you can find in the dedicated platform.
First of all, to rganize tasks by status / assignee / etc.
Now you can only order by bucket...
I would also like these features. I would like to see all channels tasks and see what is on each team members plate. Just like you can by hitting charts in planner.
I don't get it? I built some PLANNER projects, and then went to TEAMS, and can't bring those existing PLANNER projects over, but have to re-build? Really?
It is good to see that Planners in Teams actually show up in Planner now, but only for Planners in the General channel of a Team. I created a second channel on a team with a Planner, and while I can click the link in Teams to open it in Planner, I can't get to that Plan directly from Planner - it just shows the Planner for the General Channel.
Teams looks really great and has a lot of potential to change how my team collaborates on projects, but there are still too many bugs and feature gaps for a full scale implementation
I have come to Teams from microsoft planner in hopes to organise myself and my team further but when it comes to adding a planner tab i don't think everything you need is there. Having the charts in planner would help us have a clearer idea of how our task management is doing but this hasn't been brought to teams. Also not being able to group the task by person on Teams like you could do on the original planner so you can see more clearly what is yours and someone else's tasks. The last thing is just have a 'My tasks' tab down the side like where the calendar is so you can go there to see what you have to do personally and in the team.

Teams OneNote and Planner Notes should be integrated/same.
Planner seems to ask for authentication whenever you try accessing it after you closed Teams and opened it again. It would be nice to not be prompted with the authentication window every time when accessing Planner, since you have already authenticated when you added Planner as an additional tab in you team.

Hi, any deadline for this feature? it is really difficult to create and follow up all the tasks without the complete functionality of Planner inside Teams.
When accessing Planner thru the "waffle" the Planner has the ability to group tasks in different ways. However the Planner interface in Teams does not have the group by drop down box.
It would be nice if one could upload attachements directly to a task in the Planner tab via the Teams / Planner interface. This is only available via the planner web interface. Today one can only link to a existing file.
In 2016 MS blogged about giving the Teams Planner Tab the same functionality as the web interface. How is this going? It would be really nice to be able to comment on task via teams / planner

The biggest lack is the task hub, and the ability for someone to update the task-story.

Planner doesn't work with team.
Calendar doesn't work with planner.
Can't open exists notes
Integrtion wthout integration? It's not release, it's alpha preview. :)
Really looking forward to having the full version of Planner enabled through Teams. If I can recommend one additional feature it would be to enable the @mention capability in the comments section of a Planner card. Then if you @mention someone it should send an email notification to them with a link to the card.
