It would be highly beneficial for there to be an adjustable volume on chat alerts. This is our offices main source of communications and we cant afford to miss these. In addition is there an options to not have the message banner pop up? Often there is sensitive information, and if someone is in my office it is easily readable.

Moving from Skype to Teams and I miss the blinking notification on my task bar. I work in a louder environment and do not here the notification sounds unless I have headphones on. Having something on the taskbar blinking or with a red number over it showing new chats or messages would be helpful. currently I just have to periodically open it up and see the team name in BOLD indicating there is new messages in there. I have tried looking at settings for nitifications and it wasn't helpful.
Have to be able to change the notification sounds or else you miss a message
Is there an update on this please? My company has just switched over to Teams instead of Jabber and we need to be able to :Turn Popup notification on/off
Turn notification sound on/offI currently only have the 'banner' or 'off' option. 'Banner' generates a popup whenever a new chat is received, which anyone walking past can read which is not acceptable. The only alternative is 'off' which obviously means I will miss any new notifications.
Many notifications are missed. Companies using this tool as a full communication solution rely on the ability to customize their notifications to a sound/alert that works for them. In order to be successful, this needs to be addressed.

We get email notifications for personal chats, but nothing for Teams. Perhaps you can add the same type of notification -- especially if someone is using the web version as opposed to the downloaded app, they won't get a notification in Teams in the current set up. For example, if they don't have access to their usual computer or device.

It would be helpful to have different channels with different priorities, as some channels are designed for more urgent matters than others.

Perhaps have the notification screen "stay on" until you have read it? My manager had information on the "teams" tab I did not even know about because I am usually on the "chat" tab

The notification sound is to low. I miss it when im not right in front of my computer. We should be able to choose the notification sound and volume level. Also the task bar it should blink longer if missed so if i am on a call or another task i notice it if i miss it. I miss most of my messages.
From any window I should be able to select snooze notifications for a few time options and a custom option. There should also be on the fly snooze notifications, not just notifications disabled during the set do not disturb days and times.
Provide better setting options to allow personalization on notifications. Banner or e-mail option is not sufficient!

MacOS / Teams, Notifications: Use the Apple notification system.
This way I do not miss any notifications (can view history) and I get them on my iOS devices and synced.
It also would fix disruptions . If I am Skype call, and set MacOS to DND. I still get popup Teams notifications!
Stop reinventing the wheel please guys. Use the current system.
Please include a way to disable the "John Smith is out of office and may not respond" or modify how many times you see it. It gets very annoying in a chat when someone is on vacation.

Hurry up - currently useless

Another vote for this, ideally with a notification tray icon hint. Slack at least offers the blue dot. Quite often you don't realise that something has gone on within the Teams unless you hunt it out

We really need a way to get notifications for our Plannar Messages within teams. Most of the time when someone messages on a plannar task it is completely lost since it doesn't show up as a message within teams.
I raised a ticket to MS today because user complain they miss all their messages. On the regular chat tab in Teams we see number of unread messages in red so something just like that, would do. Otherwise, it's a bit useless without knowing if you have a message.

I presently miss most messages sent to me on teams. It would be a great help to have the on the task bar blink much like skype does when there is a new alert or message to that has not yet been cleared.
99% of our company misses ALL notifications.. Step away for 20 seconds and the alert fades away. Need options to be able to turn on/off persistent alert windows that doesn't go away until dismissed. We won't be using it until this is an option as it's pretty useless without it in our environment.
