Linux client
My team has some users on Linux, and one benefit Slack has is a Linux client. Without a Linux client on Microsoft Teams, some orgs may have to turn away in favor of Slack so everyone can participate without keeping a browser open all the time.

Thank you for your feedback that helped us launch the Microsoft Teams Linux client. The client is now available for everyone to use. Please find instructions for installing and more details here: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/get-clients#linux. Enjoy!

Please add me to the testing group. I am trying to convince my team to make the full switch over to O365 Teams and having a working linux based client would be amazing.

Does anybody else have the problem where Teams within WSL and X11 is full-screen -- and the window won't resize?
I've tried X11 using MobaXterm and VcXsrv -- running 'teams' within the WSL terminal-- and in both cases it's a full-screen window. I've also tried running teams within a xfce desktop and there again, it's full screen. Help?

Any hope of getting screen sharing working? I hear it supposedly works if using X11, but without Wayland support many newer distributions don't work. On my openSuSE system teams (1.3) reboots if I try to screen share. It would be much more useful if this worked.

How about the possibility of getting logs from Teams Linux client?

It's not much better than Teams in the browser, notifications are minimally viable, and now I can't block all the invasive tracking practices.
I'm going back to the browser

We are OEM manufacturer and many customers request us to pre-install Microsoft Teams on our Linux OS devices. Should we need to sign the agreement before we pre-load Microsoft-Team on our devices?

Thanks, folks; this is huge for our team. The native notifications thing is a biggie, though.

It would be very nice to support native OS notifications on Linux. I'll copy/paste my comment from the Q & A site https://docs.microsoft.com/answers/questions/3606/please-support-native-notifications.html
> I realize there is a benefit to Teams' custom notifications implementation. You can click the message in the notification window to go directly to the conversation. I believe the freedesktop notification spec is for passive notifications only, meaning no way to handle input like that.
> I think support for native notifications would still be valuable, since then you can make Teams notifications work like the rest of your system notifications (same location on screen, same size, same styling), rather than needing to set position on specifically the Teams floating notification window. An option to switch between Teams style and native notifications would be fantastic.
Edit: looks like someone already added a standalone Uservoice issue:

Sharing the screen on Ubuntu 18.04 is not working. Both sharing my screen and also being the viewer of a shared screen did not work.
