allow any emoji as a reaction, not just thumbs up
Slack has this: get.slack.help/hc/en-us/articles/206870317-..
Adding any emoji as a reaction remains under review.
I am marking this as partially done to let you know a new reactions bar with Like, Heart, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Angry has begun rolling out to all users.
How about a Thumbs down
Yh,pls add more emojis or at least the commonly used ones
Like the smile,disgusted,questioned,thumbs down,e.t.x

Please add a "Thumbs Down" option on Teams Live Event questions. We do many Town Halls using Live Events.
While the "thumbs up" option is there, it ends up inflating some questions by a vocal minority w/o the majority having the ability to weigh in on questions that have either been asked and answered before or just plain snarky.
This request also received the most votes in our last town hall.

Please allow any emoji as a reaction. As a person coming from Slack, the lack of support for any emoji as a reaction breaks our teams' workflows.
Team's emoji support is super weak compared to Slack.
WE need a simple Smile added to this list
Can we add a Rainbow emoji for Pride month (June)?
With Teams being utilized for work interactions between colleagues that we may not have seen for a while it would be great if you could add the wave emoji to this reaction menu.
Thanks for your consideration!
Please add Thumbs Down!

This is so vital for good communication...
When you're used to react without any limit it's extremly frustrating to choose between only 6 basic feelings :('

Even just adding a simple smile would be nice, or change the name of the 'Laugh' emoji to a smile, I have been using 'Laugh' as a smile emoji and I think some of my co-workers are getting the wrong impression.

Seriously, those six available reactions are sad. You want parity with Slack, not with Facebook (and why are those reactions exact same as Facebook and not something more useful in the workplace?)

Specific reactions for 'Acknowledged' and 'Done' would be much appreciated

We need a more complete set of reaction emojis available not only as a nice-to-have feature to speed up communication, it's actually critical to our ways of working in software development. We need to be able to indicate that someone is looking into a testing suite, sending it for a rerun, tick it green after a local rerun, also to provide at-a-glance reaction to notifications from various integrations so we can escalate quickly, and for code reviews. Appreciate if this feedback can help to move this up the backlog. It's really really important to us, and as a Teams champion I can vouch this would be a seriously popular feature.
The six reactions (thumbs up, heart, laughing, surprised, sad, angry) to posts are extremely limiting!
The reason emoji's are becoming popular is because humans feel a wide range of emotion, not just six of them!
Please allow us to respond to posts using ANY emoji.
Emoji's are great for a quick up or down vote. Why is there not a thumbs down option for replying?
Emoji's are great for a quick reply. They don't take many keystrokes, and they don't clutter up a screen, as 5 emoji responses take up a LOT less space than 5 handwritten replies.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add decent emoji reply capability to Teams.
Beer has been invented thousands of years ago and has become part of world cultural heritage. Cheering with beer is an integral part of our social interaction. My Thumb is now 40yrs old and no one wants to see it. I vote for a "cheers with beer" emoji!
Why oh why oh why can't you just allow _all_ emoji *and* *custom* *emoji* like slack? C'mon, this is table stakes now!
Adding in .02 here: why is this only 6 reactions? The broader emoji library is widely available, but message reactions are limited, and even broader message reactions are only tied to 86?
