allow any emoji as a reaction, not just thumbs up
Slack has this: get.slack.help/hc/en-us/articles/206870317-..

Adding any emoji as a reaction remains under review.
I am marking this as partially done to let you know a new reactions bar with Like, Heart, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Angry has begun rolling out to all users.

Definitely as many as possible - ideally having plenty, but with tabs (i.e. having the most popular ones on the main tab, then sports ones on next tab, animal ones on another etc.). Totally agree with Jonathon below me - they should be in an identical list to ones that are available in messaging

If the emoji is in the list of emoji's that can be used in a message, then that emoji should be usable as a reaction. Simple, straightforward, as you already have that list.

You should add the new set of emoji that's out with windows 10/windows 10 mobile. They look better than the current set in Teams...

If you could make it so an organization/team could upload their own reactions, that would be the best. You'll never be able to have what everyone wants. But understandably that takes more work and my team would still be very happy to get a lot of out of the box (ensuring they can search for the one they want).

Yes, we just switched from slack and everyone in the office really misses the reactions - super great functionality to show that someone understands/agrees/hates an idea or suggestion without having to read through a zillion replies. Gives users the ability to hold informal office polls and figure out if we're doing one thing or another. Glad this is marked as planned...

Slack has reactions (not emojis in messages) in private chats. We use them quite frequently for acknowledgement, approval, understanding, etc.

Get rid of reactions, or allow us to turn them off. Same with gifs and all that nonsense. Uhg.

If MS guys implements all emoji reactions:
https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public-preview/suggestions/16911544-allow-any-emoji-as-a-reaction-not-just-thumbs-up
it will be covered pretty much with dislike or (x) emojis. :) -

very convenient feature in Slack to quickly react to a message (but not only with a "like"), it would be a great improvement. It is not only fun, it is fun and efficiency

We use this reactions a lot in Slack, especially custom emojis like nation specific jokes or field specific emojis (e.g. github). We also use emoji reactions for voting (number emojis). We want to switch to Teams but it will be pain for lot of people once they got used to emoji reactions.
