allow any emoji as a reaction, not just thumbs up
Slack has this: get.slack.help/hc/en-us/articles/206870317-..
Adding any emoji as a reaction remains under review.
I am marking this as partially done to let you know a new reactions bar with Like, Heart, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Angry has begun rolling out to all users.
When are we getting more emoji's??? Also would like to customize what emoji's are available for Teams...The Angry emoji seems inappropriate in some ways and promotes negativity in a work place. Just my 2 cents. Definitely need the :white_check_mark:

I wouldn't mark this as "partially done". This kind of ignores the main request. We would like to have the option to implement any emoji. This is not Facebook, this is a communication platform "like" Slack.

i must admit that it's really pleasing to have 75% of my company saying that the current reations are pointless and that there needs to way more choice !
why not just implement at least Emoji 11 or 12 ?
this has been under going testing or over 9 months, i think it's about time we got told the exact situation so we can inform correctly are colleagues and are clients...

Checkmark would be great to be able to confirm that I have read/seen a message.
Alternately, maybe allow users to opt out of this altogether. The hover over is extremely invasive when you want to copy an order number or ID from a post, but then you end up clicking the drop down that hangs over the information you actually want.
It would be good to get a check mark emoji to acknowledge a message in a neutral way... like if someone sends a message that they are gong to be late for a trip to the docctor... what does liking it say?
The current implementation only allows for a single reaction. Should be allowed many reactions for a single comment
Not sure if this option was mentioned already, but at least win 10 makes it quite easy to use Emojis - you just need to activate the screen/desktop keyboard (not sure about the correct naming), where the common set of Emojis is available.
This will be in the chat feed, but it is also available at any text Input..

In addition to the new reactions, I'd love to see a celebratory emoji! On my teams, we commonly share work that we've done that I want to be able to celebrate (similar to LinkedIn's clapping reaction).
I need this: ✔ and 🙇

The current implementation with hearts, likes, laugh, etc is barely acceptable. Slack does this way better. We can use any of the built in emojis as well as custom emojis. The Teams options do not even skim the surface of what reactions should be possible.
Want to let someone know, good luck 🍀
Want to show encouragement 🎉
Want to say hi or wave goodbbye 👋
Want to answer I don't know 🤷♂️
Want to denote a bug 🐛
Really, Teams ought to support all emojis in at least Emoji 11 or 12.
Lack of this makes me 😡😠💢
This is so far from "partially done". We are asking for any emoji/custom emojis and adding 6 options is not even close to partial.
Hi, definitely need a thumbs down. We've just rolled out Teams and my boss keeps using sad and angry faces because there's no thumbs down option.
We also need a thumbs down reaction, to quickly say that something is not correct.
Do you have an ETA on when the feature will be available for all users?
It's really frustrating, Torje. Hopefully, its added for the rest of us soon. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and making sure I had the latest update (I do), but nothing still.
I have the exact same problem as Anonymous a few posts below (June 19, 2019 23:45). The rest of my team got the new reactions, but I cannot use or see these.
Same problem in native macos application and the web application, so it seems like it is my account that did not get the update yet for some reason.

our org got it a few days ago. Partially done means it could change at some point? or it will be the same as it looks right now?
