Ability to pin message/files/articles shared within a channel.
Guys, please add pinned items for channels. We often pin important articles/messages/files so that the whole team can see it. Very important!

Thank you for your feedback! We are updating this as “Partialy Done” as our first step to solving for pinned posts has been released! Pinned posts allows users from a team to pin a message for everyone in the channel to be able to easily reference. While any message can be pinnable, we expect our users to use this feature to pin information like channel guidelines or important announcements. We know this doesn’t solve all pinning scenarios, and that there is still a need to make this easier for users to find, especially within the message list. We will share another update as soon as it is available.

Pinning would be a really valuable feature, especially in global companies. For users who are coming online at different hours, it would be helpful for them to see important updates via a "pinned" message. Hope this one gets off the backlog soon.

Need this asap! I would like to pin the intructions on how to use each channel we have, that would help users a lot, since we have multiple support teams set up.

In case it helps, our very specific use case for this would be to pin an "RED ALERT!" status message which would stay pinned as long as a production issue was persisting, so that the entire team knows when the emergency situation begins and ends.

Agreed, I just had need of this feature for an announcement of an upcoming employee event but could not find the ability... then saw this post.

Since our teams are getting bigger and bigger, we desperately need this feature. Any ideas on the road-map of implementation?

Guys, this is important. Pinning is like a basic function of a chat app, and not having it means my people are all saying they want to keep Slack and not move to MST - when do we get it?

This is a must-have for busy teams and channels. Some information just needs to be highlighted as important for all. Yet another feature where Slack has Teams beat, come on Microsoft, I really want to root for you guys here.

Please add this functionality. As an educator I really need to pin important information, such as assignment deadlines, or reminders, in the class' teams channel.

Please allow us to be able to rearrange tabs in channels to give prominence to other tabs other than conversations and files. Thanks.

Please allow us to select what appears first. Would love to push chats to less prominent location.

This is a really important function we want to use... if we have a very important new or announcement type post in a channel, as a user, I wants to be able to 'pin' that message post in the channel so it stands out as the first thing that everyone will see - eg: an announcement from the CEO to the whole company in the 'news' channel. Next as a manager I want to be able to open Teams or a Team and pin a tab as the 'default' open tab for a team rather than a conversation tab - for example - we might show the intranet home page in a TAB on the company wide team, and want that to be the tab that shows on the 'general' channel or on any channel we choose, rather than the conversations.

Basically we want this: Actions and Decisions live in the Stride sidebar and allow anybody in a group conversation to pin both action items for specific users and a note about a group decision to the room (and clicking on those brings you into the chat history where that decision was made). Thanks to this, you don’t have to look through a mountain of messages and GIFs when you’re trying to catch up on a conversation.

You got my vote.
I have channels, that just have a road map for some internal stuff, nothing that requier conversations or files, its just a hook back into SharePoint. So lets make it possible to place the two default tabs as the last ones
