slash commands are a must-have
Slash commands for just about every type of function are a must have. They are familiar and easy to use without having to touch your mouse, they are UI-agnostic. Admittedly not terribly discoverable – but the UI is even worse, as their is no real option for auto-completion of UI elements, now is there?
We’re updating our command library all the time, so keep checking the menu in the command box to see what’s new by typing / or @.
Teams should be user friendly and not require users to remember lots of command line syntax.
If I use a feature once or twice a year, I should be able to find it and not have to read lots of pages of command line help.
I use Word for this reason and not a cryptic programmer's text editor.
I’m going to read this. I’ll be sure to come back. thanks for sharing. and also This article gives the light in which we can observe the reality. this is very nice one and gives indepth information. thanks for this nice article...

As others have said, having slash commands available from any location within the apps is a must have. Even just having the slash key selecting the command bar at the top and entering the "/" character would be a huge win.
Is this not THE opportunity for a quick win:
to HANG UP the current conversation
If coming up with a keyboard shortcut it too complicated?
The point of slash commands is that you type them wherever you type all the other things. Not in a separate box that you have to use the mouse to get to. So current status = useless.
customized slash commands to perform get or post method is really useful
Want slash commands from the chat bar not the search bar
You have a sub-par version of this. And it doesn’t seem to exist in the iOS app
Slash commands need to be available inside chat
The one thing I really miss from slack is the /remind me /remind username command. Please implement asap so I can start bugging my coworkers with silly reminders throughout the day. We all need a little laughter in our lives. And +1 for /giphy command as well!
Yes, slash commands are available, but from the search bar. Having to mouse up to the search bar is unnecessary. I realize Teams isn't Slack or Discord, but come on... Give me efficiency! I'm always positioned in the composition pane, so why not allow me to simply /search <string> or /dnd 1 hour where I already am, rather than mouse up to the search bar and then /dnd. This is 2020, let's get with the times!
no, you don't have this.

Would agree with other posters - you don't really have this. They're not usable from the primary input interface. Why must have I switch the UI context to use an /command?

All, since it appears the admin missed the vast majority of the sentiment of this thread, I have logged a more specific request here:

Alex, since when? having Slash commands means being able to add our own, not just use yours

not sure if I'm missing something but / is not giving anything and @ only gives option to mention or add a bot. Not really any useful command as I was expecting

Isn't the whole point of slash commands to be able to use commands in the same input as where you type chat messages? The "command box" silly. If you're going to have a dedicated "command box", then there is no point of starting every command with a slash. You have the worst of both worlds.
Slash commands aren't available from the chat interface and only from the search interface and completely misses the point. So no, you don't have this.

The reason nobody knows about this is because they expect the slash commands to work in the chat and channel conversation box, not the "command box".
Is there an update on this? I feel like a Microsoft has given up on UserVoice

Need to add a command for "reset status". There are commands for manually setting it to all of the other statuses.
