  1. Connect with "Groups" conversation in Outlook

I was surprised that conversations within Teams doesn't show up inside the conversation thread in Outlook Groups. Please consider at least connecting the "General" channel with the Outlook Conversation.

    Thanks for the feedback.

We are considering a number of ways to better integrate experiences across Teams, Outlook, and other apps. However, we don’t have any specifics to share on this request.

  2. Multiple Notifications Bugs

    Hello,

We have been testing Microsoft Teams for almost a week now, while we love the product; however, it is proving to be counter productive when it stops sending notifications, we are using alternative means to notify each other to check messages on MS Teams.

What we noticed for example is that if discussions continue in a thread for over a day, no new notifications whatsoever are being triggered. In some occasions, even though we have an ongoing discussion, notifications stop, but only work if you tag the other person, but again, this is not a new thread, so it…

  3. Fix Mac client updates

    Multiple problems reported:

    #1
It seems whenever the OSX client updates, we get a "An update is ready to install. Microsoft Teams is trying to add a new helper tool." authentication request, then the app quits. Or sometime the app just quits on it's own without any notification. When it launches again, the "loading" box then sometimes doesn't disappear. I really want to roll this out for our teams to start playing with, but having the app quit on us ~10 times a day without notification makes it unusable.

    #2
On most Macs I’ve tried, the automatic update framework is…

I will be closing this topic since the feature request has been split apart into each individually requested item. This will allow you to see when items are actually closed out and moving ahead instead of having one item giving a perpetual misrepresentation of multiple pieces.

Please take the time to vote for each of these you are impacted by.

    1) OSX client updates – app quits multiple times a day – https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/33838036

    2) MAC app fails to update with standard account (needs admin creds) – https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/33838069 (This item is completed)

    3) Update files are stored on the MAC taking up a lot of disk space – https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/33838114

    4) Need prompt before updating on MAChttps://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/33838126

    5) After update on MAC – notifications are missed – https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/33838144 (This item is due to individual organizations not using modern authentication – once modern authentication is used, this issue will no longer…

  4. Add generic @ mentions in each channel

Add generic @ mentions in each channel such as @here, @channel/@room to make it easy to notify all present members of a channel or all members of a given channel with one simple @-mention

Thanks for the continued activity on this ticket and showing me this new idea. Can someone please create a new UV idea and rally the troops to vote for it? I love the idea of @here — a good idea for the Presence team.

Note: You CAN @ tag a channel to get the channel’s attention and make it bold so people will look at the channel.

Thank you everyone and have a great Wednesday!

    Sincerely,
    Suphatra

  5. Sub-Teams

Ability to have sub-teams within a larger team chat structure. These sub-teams should receive notifications on issues that pertain to them while the rest of the team can see the messages but should not be notified.

As an example, we have two teams(data management and tech support) that coordinate work together in a channel (support services team). When messages need to alert TS or DM but not both, there is no way to use @data management to notify only the relevant part of the team. We have to use @support services to get the attention of both.

  6. MessageCard Layout

The layout of a MessageCard is not the same as desktop.
    PotentialAction is not shown.
    themeColor not used.
Styling of title for a section is incorrectly styled.
Links are automaticly linked in app, desktop you create link []().
Linked - linkes get smaller font.

    Etc etc

  7. Positive feedback

I came into the feedback hub to post/upvote a bunch of suggestions for changes/additions but before I focused on the "what's still missing" I wanted to send the positive feedback that so far Teams has been the most compelling Microsoft user experience I have had in a while. I am enjoying it so much that most of my subsequent feedback will be pleas to integrate and consolidate more microsoft app functionality under the Teams umbrella so I can work almost solely out of this great experience without app switching. Thanks!

  9. Add a Planner Tab using an existing Plan, Problem

Within an existing team I create a channel as a template with Tabs that have specific tasks associated with that plan. I can then create a new channel and add a Planner tab using an existing plan duplicating all the tasks of the "template". this is great except for one problem. When I edit any detail of the new channel plan all those edits are also applied to the template plan and any other plan that I have created in this way. If each duplicate behaved independently of the donor template and all other channels this would allow me to…

I want to ensure you were aware that Planner integration does not allow you to make a “copy” of plans. But that is something the feature team is looking into.

In this case, what you are seeing is the same plan in both channels. You are simply pointing to it from two different channels. Therefore if you make a change to one item, in one channel, the changes will also be reflected in the other channel because they are the same plan.

Thank you for the feedback and I hope I was able to provide some clarification for you.

    UserVoice isn’t a Microsoft product.

You would need to reach out to UserVoice and put forth the above suggestion so they could possibly enable such a feature.
