  3. Add Option to Always send Toast Notification even while the Teams window is Active

Some of our techs are complaining that they sometimes miss notifications because the window was up on another screen and they didn't get the Toast popup. We came to Teams recently from another chat app that had the option to "Always Notify" regardless of the status of the chat client's activity or focus. Most users wouldn't like this feature, but a few might appreciate having the option as an opt-in checkbox.

  4. When creating a link in a wiki page, the dialog screen disappears when Teams not in focus.

When creating a link in a wiki page, the dialog screen disappears when Teams not in focus.

This makes creating new links particulary difficult when copy pasting from a specific website (browser in focus).

  5. Screen Rendering

it takes a second for new posts to update if I click on an alert while teams is minimized, and then the entire screen blanks while refreshing. Overall the UI is just REALLY slow. Like, BAD slow.

  6. Better support for widescreen experience

I have a widescreen monitor, and keep my Teams window open fullscreen on that monitor. I would like both chat and teams conversations to fill that whole space horizontally, which should ultimately slim down the height of the conversation. As it is, everything is stuck at about 800px width, really making the experience feel disjointed.

  7. Access Sharepoint files from Teams.

Hello, the link between our team and our SharePoint seems to be broken. We haven't been able to access it from our channel. We are sent to a web page "404 not found".
Also we are not able to create new tabs in the channel.
Attached is the error message we get.

  8. UX is important than technical superiority

User experience is important than technical superiority Eg: Any folder managment feature user is Used to no matter it is from competitor or in house how can Technical team reject a User Experience type of request ?

  10. Identify a person with his/her area of expertise

Is there any way to identify people with a characteristic? For example, I want to associate a person to a characteristic / area of expertise. Is there any way to do it?
Furthermore, is there any way to customize / add areas of expertise?

  11. Posting to chat should be controlled via Exchange Online Protection and/or Transport Rules.

Any message posting to chat in a Team should be controlled by the administrators. A wrong or inappropreate message, i.e. malware attached, should be quarantined and safely deleted. So it should be routed via EOP and/or Transport Rules, or on-premises antispam appliances.
It's not good enough protection by domain whitelist.

while updating custom apps the system is not updating teamsapp.js file. without updating this file we cannot deploy anything. it is always referring to the file which was deployed first time

  15. join button when all invitees on teams

If all attendees and the organizer of a scheduled meeting are all part of the same organization on Teams:

Then the meeting should include a Join function, without regard to how the meeting was scheduled.

As a user, I have some meetings which were scheduled via Outlook or some other means which do not include a Join button. This causes the need for a new chat to be created by an attendee which is then used as the meeting call. By adding the join function to all meetings which include only related Teams users, it would eliminate this extra step.

  18. unable to share virtualbox window

i want to share just the VirtualBox VM window and not my entire desktop. it does not show up in the list of Apps to share. this works just fine in Skype so i resort to SFB calls or window sharing, which is pretty inconvenient.

  19. Get link opens in web when sent as hyperlink in outlook email

Get link based links if copied to emails will open a web session of teams for the end users even if they have the desktop client. For an end user having two different teams session does not make sense.

  20. document viewer

When you click a link to a document on the mobile app it opens your browser to go to that sharepoint location and then the browser prompts you to install the teams app (that is already installed).
