Outlook (Mac) and Teams better integration
Hi,
Outlook for Mac and Teams are not working together regarding attachments or mail publication:
- For attachments: it could be great, from a mail with attachements, to have a quick and easy way to publish the attachment into a channel (with a comment). Today, to do that, I need to save the attachment to my Mac and then upload it to Teams...
- For emails: I know that it is possible to send a mail to a channel but it could be better to have a "publish to teams" action in the email ribbon that act as a way…166 votes -
Make Teams for Mac available in App Store/VPP
I love that OneNote is available in the Mac App Store, and it'd be great if Teams were too since it's also free. Deploying, updating and generally managing VPP apps is much simpler than having to package manually etc. This would make deploying Teams to our Mac departments much easier.

Add support for Keynote presentations
When presenting from Keynote via sharing your Keynote window you see the slide thumbnails and formatting options like you're looking at the presenter's screen instead of what is being presented. You cannot see this on the Mac that is sharing. Only on the Teams sharing screen.

status
my status constantly changes to away every time i navigate to a different open application. it would be nice if skype and teams could reflect the same status, or if teams could simply stop randomly signing me out.

support for sharing MacOS full screen apps in other Spaces (virtual screens/desktops)
Most Mac users work with fullscreen apps when they are serious to focus on something. A full screen app gets it's own Space. When using MS With Teams functionality as is, you can only share non-fullscreen windows that are on the first Space (Desktop 1) or share all of Desktop 1. When I work with MS Teams, I have to fiddle with my windows to make it work. Sometimes, I'll have the window shared, but then click to make it full screen which drops it from the share. In either case this cases meeting delays.
Instead I'd like to share…

Mac: Please include an audio input/output/video device option for "System Default"
Currently in Teams calls (same on SfB Mac actually) when I go to chose which audio device to use, I am not presented with a choice of "System Default".
Every other VOIP program on the Mac (personal skype, google hangouts, facebook) has this option which allows you to control your device from one spot and have it used in all your clients.
Can we please add this option .... cross OS would be ideal, if it's possible in Windows too.

Better MacOS X menu integration
Mac OS X defaults should just work. I want a preferences menu item. I want the hotkey that goes with that. I want a menubar, and not a start menu.

macOS notification center
It would be extremely helpful if Microsoft Teams would integrate with macOS Catalina's Notification Center. Currently, Teams only provides a small pop up notification and if you are using 2 or more displays, you can easily miss these notifications.

Remove the "hidden" Window for notifications on Mac OSX
Currently when I click on the Window menu item, there is a permanent option in the list for "Microsoft Teams Notification". I assume if you used MacOSX notifications instead this may not be necessary. Is there some way to remove this otherwise? It doesn't actually do anything when you click on it.

OSX client updates - app quits multiple times a day
It seems whenever the OSX client updates, we get a “An update is ready to install. Microsoft Teams is trying to add a new helper tool.” authentication request, then the app quits. Or sometime the app just quits on it’s own without any notification. When it launches again, the “loading” box then sometimes doesn’t disappear. I really want to roll this out for our teams to start playing with, but having the app quit on us ~10 times a day without notification makes it unusable.
85 votesPlease email me your logs so I can have the development team investigate.
You can generate logs by using the shortcut CRTL+ALT+SHIFT+1
This will generate a txt file in your Downloads folder starting with the name “MSTeams Diagnostics Log……………”.
Please email the logs to: TEAMSML@microsoft.com and use the Subject line of “OSX client – App Quits”
Thank you!

Allow AirPods to mute/un-mute the audio
AirPods allow you to start/stop audio by clicking on the base of the airpod. It would be nice for Teams to consume this signal and allow the audio to be muted/un-muted.

Make use of Mac Touch Bar for mute/unmute and other meeting actions
Teams should allow the use of the Mac Touch Bar to do functions such as mute/unmute, leave meeting, show participants and so forth.

Add to Mac Share Menu
I'd love to be able to have Teams in the Share Menu from different apps. Instead of having to copy and paste a link

CMD+Tab on macOS does not bring main window up
When switching between programs on the Mac the CMD+Tab keys will switch to the Teams Program - but the main window is often minimized. I either have to click the program on the Launcher or go via the Window menu.

Remote control on macOS
Allow me to use remote control when a colleague uses Microsoft Teams using macOS too. At this point, I can only remote control users sharing their screen from Windows.

Need prompt before updating on MAC
Every time there is an update for the desktop client (at least on Mac) the client updates automatically without prompting the user, which always seems to invalidate the session. There should be an option to prompt the user before the client is updated. (similar to how VS Code does it, perhaps)

Don't minimise Teams when screen sharing a different screen (multi-screen setup)
Currently when you share a screen the primary Microsoft Teams window is minimised (down into the dock on Macs). When this occurs you can no longer see the video feeds of the meeting participants, chats, virtual whiteboard, etc.
I have a 3-screen setup. When I share a screen that the primary Microsoft Teams window is not present on the application should not automatically minimise the primary Microsoft Teams window.
Presumably minimising the window was seen as a usability enhancement or to avoid sharing the video feed as part of the screen share, however for multi-screen environments this is unnecessary.
