Poor performance on MacOS
I can't use teams with out it lagging severely. When I go and look at the processes running, It always looks like the 'helper' is taking up crazy amounts of CPU and it lags out the application to the point of it almost being unusable.
I've tried closing the application, rebooting, re-installing, checking for updates, etc.. nothing works.
I'm on macOS Mojave 10.14.2

High Memory/RAM Usage
Microsoft Teams is currently the most RAM consuming application on my computer
1,655 votesThank you for your recent votes on the individual performance items. High memory and RAM usage is something we are continuously working to improve, and the team is hard at work on fixes.
If interested, you can find more details on how Teams currently uses Memory at https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/teams-memory-usage-perf.

High CPU/GPU/Power usage
For some reason the latest update has Teams using between 8% and 25% CPU idling, doing nothing. There is an issue with this update.

Reliability issues: crashing, hanging, freezing
Literally Teams will crash 5 or 6 times a day. Hugely annoying and unproductive.

Slow app launch
Right now it simply loads too slowly, and it has that massive in-your-face splash screen while doing it.

scroll performance - messages are grey boxes before rendering
scroll lag : scrolling performance (i.e. to previous messages in a chat/channel) is much worse than expected - messages don't render for a noticeable period of time

Switch between accounts
Give teams the ability to switch between accounts. I have to log in and out everytime I want to change accounts that represent different companies. Also, if it was more integrated with outlook, it would make my life better.

Ability to shrink the search bar.
The search bar spans a large area of the top bar. It's very difficult to move the Teams window around my desktop because we can't click and drag

Make it faster
Teams app on win 10 is frustratingly slow to close after clicking red x. Taskbar lights up with new message but shows name of last conversation partner not new one. Opening up to see a new message starts you where you left off instead of new message. Badges on phone app don’t go away if I check on messages using Windows app. Nowhere near as snappy as like, AIM back in the day

Preference to open linked docs in local/desktop version of excel/word/onenote - and not always Office Online
We use OneNote and Excel quite extensively. We share files via Team channels all the time. But opening them in Office Online is very very slow. We want to open the document in the desktop versions of Excel and OneNote as a first choice.

Battery usage on Windows 10
There are many comments and ideas about battery usage on IOS and Android but I've noticed that the battery usage on my laptop has increased somewhat.
When I go to Start > Settings > System > Battery > 'See which apps are affecting your battery life' and change period to 1 week i can see that Microsoft Teams is using 31% of battery. Second place is Outlook with 14% so its definitely an issue.
Interestingly, i use Outlook all day, every day heavily and its only using that much battery. Teams is always in my sys stray and i rarely…

Improve Audio Quality in Teams Meetings and Video Calls
I get several complaints on the audio quality within a teams meeting or video call. When more than one person speaks, it gets glitchy audio sound and cancels out both speakers (or multiple speakers) intermittently. My employees are complaining so much about the choppy quality of the audio, they're going back to Zoom.us. Please help so I don't have to manage multiple platforms!

Adding attachments is super slow, it really need speedup
Addign attachments is very slow process. Something minuscule like 50kb sile adding takes 5-10 sec. Lager files naturally longer. It should be instantaneous.
And why I have to wait for the upload at first place before I can send an message. It should be background process.

Teams should respect the Display scale of the display it is on, not only of Main screen (Windows)
Running Windows on a Retina MacBook with an external monitor I have the scale of the retina display set to 175% and the external (Main display) to 100%.
Now if the main screen (seemingly only on boot counts) is the external one, the teams interface is so small that it is basically illegible. If the external monitor is disconnected while booting the teams UI is normal on the Retina display, but gigantic on the external one, when connected. Other apps seem to handle this, it would be nice if Teams could, too!

In Teams chat, improve the time lag between posting a message and being blocked by DLP.
We have introduced DLP in Teams chat. However, there is a time lag between posting a message and being blocked by DLP. The time lag is about 5 to 20 seconds. Until it's blocked, the recipient sees the message you want to prevent. This time lag is fatal to prevent the leakage of sensitive information. We call for urgent improvement.
