Let us make the font size bigger (Zooming)
Make a way to make the font size in the application bigger.

I need to correct the information I provided last month about MAC. It appears the MAC version is still in testing and hasn’t yet gone out to the public. It is “In Testing” but will be coming to the public soon!
The item tracking this specific update can be found at: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/16933183/activity
There now is a UI element that tells you your current zoom level and a Setting within the UI to preset your zoom preference.
Since the zoom feature could very well cover the vast majority of user needs, based on the majority of comments and feedback, I will flag this item as Partially Done.
Thank you for all the feedback and support!

Pop out video for DHH student's ASL Interpreter
Our deaf and hard of hearing students can not see their interpreter well once the teacher uses screen share/presents because the video of the interpreter shrinks too small. Please have an option to select and pop out a participant. This is the sole reason our district is allowing the DHH team to use Zoom instead. However we have DHH students in non-DHH classes with hearing students and that teacher is required to use Teams for synchronous learning. Please add this accessibility for our DHH students so they can join ALL classrooms.

Keyboard shortcut for mute/unmute microphone
A setting to make use of a keyboard to fast mute/unmute your microphone, this is a very good quality of live feature

**actual** markdown support
The current markdown implementation is simply bad as it's not actual markdown. Instead it's some kind of in-line format guesser that changes what you type on enter.
- it doesn't work in the client
- it doesn't apply to messages submitted via webhook integrations
- it doesn't work on cut-n-pasted text
- it's not complete (tons of markdown syntax missing)
- it doesn't allow simple shortcuts via "/extension" (looking at you, /giphy)
in-line reformatting is slow and often unpredictable in the way it responds as you type, making for a poor experience, especially as you attempt to reformat a message you started typing.

Add the ability to have multiple windows open for chats, teams and channels?
It's very hard to keep track of multiple chats and teams all in one window - and time-consuming to keep navigating between them. It would be really useful to have multiple windows available that we can keep open for chats, teams and channels.

Option to change global font size in Teams & apply settings to incoming messages like you can in Lync
Very important for visually impaired individuals. Lync has an option that allows you to specify the global font settings and then click a box that "applies settings to incoming messages."
This means that someone like myself, who is visually impaired, can then set the global font to say 16. Then all messages I type will be at size 16 and more importantly, all the messages I get back from people are going to be size 16 as well.
This option also allows people who Don't want to see messages in size 16 -don't have to. They can specify their own…

Allow the addition of Alt Text for images
The addition of Alt Text is a basic accessibility consideration. Currently we can't do this is Teams (you can do it easily in Yammer).
Currently we are using the work around of adding descriptive text when posting an image.

Change 'Accept Call' button color to green to match other familiar UI elements
When I receive an incoming call request, if I'm on autopilot sometimes my inclination is to click on the red 'decline call' button because that button has a different color than the other buttons--this makes it stand out as an option.
If you changed the color of the 'accept call' button to a medium green, this would make both 'accept' and 'decline' stand out from the rest of the interface and also help facilitate usability for those who are partially blind.
Doing this would align the most important call interaction buttons to the same color scheme that iOS/Android use and…

Screen Sharing - add an "actual size" button to show the presenter's desktop resolution
It is difficult for viewers with poor vision to see desktops that are shared. HDMeeting and other videoconferencing apps have a UI element to show the 'actual size' of the display resolution.
Users can use the zoom button to enhance the Teams call controls, but not the shared screen.

Multiple Windows open @ once
It would be nice to be able to open multiple windows of Teams at once. For example: a chat window, a Teams window, a planner window all at the same time.

Media keys affecting Teams web app.
Scenario:
I am listening to music.
I have teams opened in a Chrome tab.
I press pause/play to stop the music playback.I expect music to stop playing.
Actually music continues to play and Teams web app is starting to call whoever is on my teams tab.I would like the Teams app to be unaffected by media keys or at least have an option to toggle their interactivity.

Allow live captions to work during screen sharing
I was part of a "Accessibility in Teams and Immersive Reader for All" live training and the live captions did not work. The moderator told me it was because the person was going to be screen sharing.
I tried it later myself and they were right, it doesn't work, at least from the hosts side. I didn't have anyone else on with me.
They still could have had the captions on when they weren't screen sharing...
I have multiple Deaf and Hard of Hearing coworkers as well as D/HH students who could benefit from this.172 votes -
Request Control button - move, add confirmation, or allow undo
I've got tremors, and the Request Control button is way too easy to hit when I want to look at the chat or participants list
Please move the button, add a confirmation, or allow the request to be withdrawn.

Raised hand reminder
people often forget that the raised hand icon is still raised after saying what they wanted to. So the suggestion is to either deactivate the icon after it is detected that the person has spoken or simply flash a reminder to the person that your hand is still raised, put down or keep raised

Option to close\hide multiple chat windows
From the recent tab, if we could right click and an option to close\hide multiple chat windows. Precious seconds are lost for those who don't use keyboard shortcuts.
Another idea could be adding a checkbox when mouse howers over. This way we can quickly select chats and then close them at once.124 votes
