  1. Seriously there is no help file ?

I read your 14 page "user guide". This is a sales pamphlet. It shows the website for Teams help, but that website is awful and has almost xero INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO TASKS IN TEAMS. Not videos, not descriptions of features. We need help. Like this:
To save a file, select file menu> save.

Thank you for identifying this issue – it has since been resolved. If you are still seeing this issue, please sign out of Microsoft Teams, then sign back in. This will quickly clear the cache, and should then allow you to see all of the Help content. Thanks again or reporting this!

  2. Additional Together mode templates

I'd love the ability to add further Together mode layout templates.

Maybe you could add your own buildings auditorium.

Muppet Mode would add some fun to Friday gatherings.

  3. Speaker attribution in captions

During any Meeting in Teams, it could be great if it provides speaker username along with Captions while scrolling and it will be great if those captions within meeting group as saved as history(ex: char history). so, that it will be easy to recollect discussion happened by reading all captions without voice help& without anybody's help.

  5. Add the raise your hand feature to IPad/IPhone/Mobile ASAP

My online classes are going on and in our class nobody is allowed to ask a question without raising their hand. So it’s been a big problem for me. I want to you add this feature to other types of devices as soon as possible.

  8. Change default meeting options

The default meeting options are not adjustable at this time. By default, the meeting options are set so that no one has to wait in the lobby and everyone has the presenter role by default. For each meeting, the meeting owner must manually adjust it. There is currently no option to adjust the standard. This is not pleasant for an education tenant.

Make sure that it is possible to adjust the default meeting options.

p.s. this is / was possible in Skype

We’re happy to announce admins are able to change the default value of ‘Who can present?’ in Meeting Options via the new parameter, DesignatedPresenterRoleMode. For more information, please visit: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/meeting-policies-in-teams or https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/policy-packages-edu

In addition there is a new default Teams meeting policy to enforce lobby in meetings for tenants who have not modified the default meetings policy. With this change, meeting organizers can define/fine-tune the lobby experience via the Meeting options feature. For information on meeting options, please see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-participant-settings-for-a-teams-meeting-53261366-dbd5-45f9-aae9-a70e6354f88e

  10. linux screen share red outline

On windows, if we do a screen share, there is a red outline around the screen. However on teams for linux there is no red outline and it can be confusing which screen we are sharing.

Also, thank you so much for teams on Linux!

  11. Teams Meeting organizer can force mute audio for attendees

Give meeting organizers the ability to force mute audio for all attendees in the meeting options page. Attendees should not be able to un-mute their audio with this option set.

  12. Screen Sharing with 3440 x 1440 Resolution shows as a black screen

Screen Share with recent Teams build for 3440 x 1440 resolution shows a black screen. Perhaps add an ability to see resolution or zoom or select what needs to be shared with the user.

  13. Issue with guests reentering Teams meetings and bypassing the lobby

    • Navigate to the Teams admin center
    • Navigate to the tab “meetings” then “meeting policies”
    • In there they should have a “global policy” that we can edit (they would just have to click it)
    • From here Navigate to “participants & guest” and change “automatically admit people” from “everyone” to “everyone in the Organization”
    • Then also change “allow dial-in user to bypass the lobby” to “off”
If the Guest user be admitted at the first he joined the meeting, then he left the call and rejoin. The Guest will automatically bypass the lobby, this is concerning from…

Thank you for your feedback! We have released a feature that if an anonymous or federated user is admitted into the meeting via the lobby, that user will go through the lobby for each subsequent rejoin. It does not matter if the user left on their own, was removed, or dropped from the meeting.

  14. Offer a native Windows on ARM (ARM64) version.

It'd be great if Teams had an ARM64 native client for Windows on ARM. I just got a Surface Pro X and while Teams works fine as a 32bit x86 app in emulation, I have no doubt it'd really shine as a native ARM64 app.

  15. Introduce Freedesktop dbus notifications for Linux

Teams currently uses a custom notification which can't be controlled, and it breaks in tiling window managers such as Sway or i3. (Steals focus and position is always on the middle of the screen.)

  16. Allow to use @team and @channel on multi-byte (Japanese language) environment.

Allow to use @team and @channel on multi-byte (Japanese language) teams environment.

They don't work anymore and we have to use @チーム and @チャネル. The flow to put them in is "@" > "switch input mode to multi-byte" > "ti-mu" > "convert into Katakana" > "Enter".

They are inconvenient and @team and @channel are simple and better to us.

  19. Load picture as background instead of blur background in Teams video chat

How about loading a picture as a defined background instead of just blur the background during a Teams video chat?

So, for example, I could load an all black picture as the default background to keep the focus on me.

We are happy to announce that we have released user initiated custom video background images. For more details, please see the link below.

Details on Meeting policy controls for background settings can be found here:

  20. Filter shifts by members

Should be able to filter shifts by member. We could have an option to filter by one or more members, so shifts rows would be displayed only for that members filtered. That would be faster to manage more than one team members at the same time, not looking for one by one member as it is today.
