  1. Use well-known names (short codes) for emoticons/emoji

Amongst others, Github and Slack use a common naming schema for emoji. Teams has a different naming schema for at least part of the emoji set, for example:
":ok_hand:" - not present in Teams
":disappointed:" - can't even be typed, as soon as ":d" is typed it becomes a Skype emoticon

Please use a common naming convention that a lot of people have already gotten used to.

  2. Access to Teams files on Windows 10 Phone

Using a Windows 10 Phone, the Teams app does not seem to be able to access the files from OneDrive or the Sharepoint sites that a team is associated with. This severely limits usefulness of collaboration within the app. Would like to see files access!!!

  3. Create one client for both Yammer, Teams, Skype and Skype for business

In our company we are using skype for business, teams, yammer as well as other communication tools. I would love to see one client where I can monitor and participate in all different channels. I have seen 3'd party tools for this that support slack, Skype, instagram and others.

Having a client that brought all the different communication channels together for the O365 would be great. I think it could be done without taking away each channels advantage. I have seen that Yammer for example evaluates using skype for chat instead of yammer chat. Each service has it own set…

  6. Linking content across and within Teams

It would be great if users could link content from other teams using the @mentions function. This capacity exists in Quip.

  7. Notebook in Mobile App

We use the Notebook in Teams. However when using the mobile app the notebook needs to be opened in the seperate OneNote App. It would be great if users could contribute to these sections in the Teams mobiles app like one can in the desktop App.

  10. Allow Members of a Team to get a Daily Digest via Email

Allow users to get a daily digest of specific or all channels within a team. Have the threads within the digest email jump to the conversation within the Teams interface.

  11. Set reminders on conversations and replies within a conversation.

Problem: You create a conversation to do something (such as create a new icon) and the team member responds they will get to it later, but there is no way to go back to see what conversations require follow up.

Possible solution: set reminders on a conversation or a reply within a conversation for individual team members or the whole team with a certain date or time.

  13. Teams and SFB Conversations in a Single Chat

Currently, Teams treats a SFB chat and a Teams chat as two different conversations. It would be useful if they could be kept as a single conversation, possibly with an icon designating if the user is on the SFB platform. (See attached image).

  15. External Keyboard Support on iOS

Better app logic when Bluetooth/External keyboard is connected.

    1. Better use of screen real estate.

    2. Logical keyboard shortcuts (chat apps typically use "Enter" to send messages, not "Shift+Cmd+D", even though that is what the Apple Mail App uses, it is not consistent with Messages, Slack, etc.

    3. Support for formatting (italics, bold, underline, etc.)

  17. Don't include Teams in task switcher when closed

When Teams is running it always appears in my task switcher (ALT+TAB), even after I have closed the window.

    Steps:
    1. Open teams and log on.
    2. Make sure your settings are to keep the application running in close.
    3. Close the window. You should no longer see Teams in your taskbar, but you should still see the Teams notification icon in the system tray.
    4. Hold the ALT key and press TAB. Keep the ALT key pressed.

The next window in the task switcher is Teams, even though the window has been closed.

    Worse yet - if I release…

  18. Wiki - Needs a lot of changes

    1) Image embedding.
    2) Better Copy & Paste
    3) Better Alerts,
    4) Why isn't there an equally capable Modern app.
    5) Editing functions are terrible.
    6) Hyperlinks not recognized.
    7) The burger icon is so small (to expand the list of Wiki's), couldnt find with a microscope. Make is screen- size dependant. Larger than a given size, just show a list of all the wiki's.
    8) Allow importing blogs from sharepoint
    9) Right click options when editing the content is limited to just "Copy", really ??
    10) when click on the three dots next to the title of a wiki…

on the backlog  ·  Warren responded

As a general status I’m going to flag this as “on the backlog”.

However, here is the list breakdown for you all. :)

    1) Image embedding.
    -This is supported!

    2) Better Copy & Paste
-I would think is is asking for copy and paste between sections – this is -“on the backlog”

    3) Better Alerts,
-If this is a request for notification when someone changes a section you “own” or “follow” this is “on the backlog”

    4) Why isn’t there an equally capable Modern app.
-Not being considered at this time.

    5) Editing functions are terrible.
-This is “on the backlog” but making good progress… hope to have more details in the near future to share.

    6) Hyperlinks not recognized.
    -This should be fixed already.

    7) The burger icon is so small (to expand the list of Wiki’s), couldnt find with a microscope. Make is screen- size dependant. Larger than…

  19. Can't send in-chat images using MAC desktop app

I'm trying to share an image in-chat using the MAC desktop app. Each time I do, it gives me the insecure image error message (see attached). The only way to see it is to go to the files tab within the same chat, click on the file, which then takes me into a browser to view. Any idea of how to get around this so I can just share images within the chat window? Thanks!

  20. Unread Team & Channel filter

When there are a lot of Teams and Channels it is hard to see them all on one page (even when Channels are 'collapsed'). Having a quick-to-select "Show Unread Teams & respective Channels" filter would make focussing on unread items much quicker and easier
