  1. Change the highlighter effect in the dark theme

The highlighter effect works very well I the default theme, however if you use the dark theme it makes the text unreadable.

    This is completed.

The up arrow to edit the last message only works in chat or specific reply chains.

This does not work in the command box.

If you feel this isn’t working correctly or should work differently please let us know by contacting TeamsML@microsoft.com

    Thank you!

We have released this feature for iOS and Android! Please let us know what you think!

  4. Code snippets

I would like code snippets with highlighting based on code language. And for snippets longer than X lines, a "show more" button (like slack)

This feature request has been completed and is available to the public. Thank you for the suggestion and feedback!

  5. Add surveys/polls

It would be great, if we can add Surveys/polls directly to a Team. Currently, we need to create them externally and post a link to this. If we can include it in the Team, it could be a new tab that users can open and take the Survey/Poll directly.

Hi again, a few of you emailed me that the previous instructions were not working, so here are two more ways you can add Polly.

    1. Click on the ellipses of the Team name then click View team. In this window, click the tab that says “Bots.” Then click “Discover Bots” and find Polly.

    2. Or just use the search bar in the left rail of your app. Write “Polly” and you should see the bot show up in the results in the auto-complete drop-down.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to tweet to me at www.twitter.com/skprufo or email at this address or just add to this thread - whatever works for you. :)

    Sincerely,
    Suphatra

  6. Grouping of notifications for mobile apps

I'd like to see the mobile apps either group notifications or show that you have "multiple notifications" (perhaps one for each chat), instead of as it is now when you get one for each single message - this quickly pollutes the message center.

This was done in July. I saw a few comments after July from folks who said they weren’t seeing this on their phones. Let me know if that’s still the case — just email at sparavi@microsoft.com. Likely it’s been fixed on your phones by now.

    Thanks!

  8. Option to view documents (PDF) inside Teams

At least for PDF documents, there should be a way to view these team files directly in the client, instead of always opening them in the web browser. This is useful when you just want to take a quick look at some doc. and don't want to be thrown out of Teams just for that - it's even more annoying when you use the dark theme, while the browser is completely white. Of course, the option to download should still remain.

  9. Add subject to private chat conversation

While a private chat could be seen as one long conversation, adding a subject and threading can help keep a conversation topic together. Much like an email between two people.

You can do this by clicking the pencil icon next to the chat name, which defaults to show the list of users in the chat. When you click the pencil, a fly out text box will appear and you can type a custom name for that group chat.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Have a happy Thursday!

Hi everyone, our meetings just got a lot smarter.

Here are a couple new things you can do:

    1. Schedule a private meeting. You can schedule a private meeting with anyone in your organization! They’ll be able to join by clicking “Meetings” on the left side of the app.

    2. Meetings have a smart new scheduling assistant. Our new scheduling assistant will let you know when all your invitees are free to meet. The scheduling assistant also provides a calendar view of the coming week that will show you when all your meeting attendees are busy or unavailable.

Let me know if you have any questions! If you love the scheduling assistant as much as I do, tell us on Twitter with the hashtag #MicrosoftTeams and I’ll pass it on to the dev team.

    Happy Friday,
    Suphatra

  11. Teams icon doesn't appear in O365 after enabling in settings

Added in settings. A few hours later no sign of teams anywhere. Found a link to the domain and that works. It is a preview I guess... but if the option is there, would kind of expect it to appear in the App menu etc.

  12. Integration with Box.com, Dropbox

We use Box.com for all of our file management (sorry, OneDrive just isn't there yet). Please add integration with Box. As well as with Dropbox.

  13. Files in Teams should be Files in Office 365 Group the team was created from

Created a Team by selecting an Office 365 Group. This Group has sharepoint files etc... expect existing files to show up.

  14. Web version that works in browsers

It'd be nice to have a Web version of this that runs in modern browsers across all platforms. Chromebooks are popular in US schools so a Web version could hit this market. Plus, there are people (like me) that simply prefer Web versions of product nowadays.

  15. Multi-window for chats and more

I want to have separate top-level windows for each person I'm chatting with, rather than tabs.

Hooray! Multi-Window chat has been a long-awaited feature, and it is rolled out fully to the general public. Please be sure to “check for updates” and restart your client if you aren’t seeing it.

For more information, please visit https://support.office.com/en-us/article/pop-out-a-chat-in-teams-cff95cb0-34af-423f-8f69-fe9106973790.

Note: Multi-Window Meetings is tracked in this item – https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/37160077.

    Enjoy!

We have theme support right now! Please visit Settings → Themes to see the 3 themes we’ve released so far. Please let us know what other themes you would like.

  17. Copying text in Microsoft Teams

The ability to copy and paste Ctrl+C works but right clicking highlighted text and trying to copy doesn't work. Personally I'm fine with it since I always use Ctrl+C but I have heard others complain about it.

You should now be able to copy text both ways — with the Ctrl short cut as well as your right mouse click. If it doesn’t work for you, please check that you are on the latest version of the product.

  18. Need full capabilities of Planner in Teams

Right now you can add a new tab for Planner in Teams. However, you are not afforded all the capabilities of Planner in this tab. Its really "Planner Lite." Here are some items you cannot do with Planner in Teams:

    1) If you create a Planner in Teams, it will not be shown in Planner itself!
    2) you can go to the group (in web outlook) wich is automatically created for the team and click there on planner and it will take you to the planner for the new group, which then cannot be displayed at teams, but the team…

The last item in the original list, #5, is covered in https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/17017147-notification-for-planner-tasks. That one (planner task notifications) is currently in internal testing with a target for release in early Q2.

Because there are many different requests in the comments which makes it hard to update and track status of individual items, we are marking this completed, and will user individual UserVoice items to track any further Planner integration. If you have suggestions in the comments below that don’t have an existing UserVoice item, please feel free to create one.

    Thanks all!

Please make it possible to access assigned taks in the mobile app
