  1. Uploading file with the same name with the same name

If I upload a file from my hard drive with a name that matches another name, it does not prompt to create a new version. This should be the default behavior or at least a prompt.

    • More than 1 OneDrive account

Linked to the previous feedback regarding linking office and personal account, I think that would be great to be able to integrate more than one OneDrive account. For example, I have a licensed 365 business pack but have Microsoft Teams Free as some people in my company don't, and therefore the Microsoft Teams Free was directly linked to my personal OneDrive and not with my business OneDrive. I think this situation is very common and shared by many people. It's really something missing to make the platform absolutely perfect

      • Photos attached in conversations should save to the channel folder

We have a number of people using teams who are posting important photos in teams conversations, but they do not show up in the "Files" tab like other uploaded files do.

Please make it so photos are saved in the channel "Files" folder.

Also it would be great if photos attached to replies in conversations from mobile phones could be discussed on a sidebar in the same way that pdf and word documents can be. This is only possible if the file is first uploaded to the file directory.

I have attached screenshots to illustrate these issues.

        • Create and organize files and folders from the mobile app

Currently there is no way to create folders, files, or rearrange anything inside a channels 'Files' tab from the mobile app. Everything has to be done from a PC.

              • Retain original file creation date and other metadata when file is imported into Teams

Often files are created over time on multiple computers and added to the Team by a bulk import operation. However Teams does not retain the original creation date/time information, or display it. The only information available is the modified date, which is "x minutes ago", so there is no sense of the order the documents were created, which one is the original version, etc. Teams should retain all metadata from the original files, and have column options to display it.

                • When attaching a document using the "Recent"-menu, it will always make a copy, even if the file exists in the Team

Attaching the same file using the "Browse"-menu will always make a link.

                  Bug or feature?

                    • Teams Files tab opens in the general folder rather than the root of the Teams OneDrive

The Teams Files tab opens in the 'General' subfolder rather than the root of the Teams OneDrive folder so I have to create a second Files tab in each team to access the existing Teams files. Can navigation be added so you can go up one level rather than having to open in Sharepoint to get access to this navigation.

                      • Allowing more third party cloud

So far we have ShareFile, Dropbox, Box, and Google Drive.
                        Other than 4 cloud storages,
can I add our own cloud storage called 'Seafile'?
I mean, can we have free option to connect our own file storage?

                          現時点の動作では、古い形式の Office ファイルを Teams にアップロードして、該当のファイルを開くと "BadRequest" のエラーが発生する。
                          Teams でも古い形式の Office ファイルが開けるよう機能の拡充を希望します。

As we uploaded an old format Office file to Teams and opened it, the "BadRequest" error occurs.
We hope you to fix this problem so that we can open old format Office files in Teams as well.

                          Thank you for your consideration.

                          • Teams folder web link

Provide the ability to link websites and wikis from within Teams Folders (under the Teams Files tab).

Use case: There are times where users create a folder structure for documentation and they wish to link not only files, but WIKIs and website links along with the documentation in the folder.

A WIKI structure with links to files and folders would provide that structure, as well, but it would be helpful for end users, who don't always understand how to use the WIKI table-of-contents structure, to be able to create the same type of structure from within a Teams folder they…

                            • Add "attach to email" option from Files in Teams

If you are working in Teams and want to send one of your files to someone outside of the Team, your options for sending it as an attachment are clunky and many clicks. You can download the file and then attach it to an email, you can open the file in Word (or whatever relevant program) and then "share" and send as an email attachment, and there are some similarly clunky options. It would be nice if there were a simple menu item for Teams files to simply "attach to email" so you can send to external customers or people…

                              • File preview in side frame / window

Provide a way to preview files in a side frame / window similar to the File Manager ability to preview files. This would greatly increase the quick viewing capability of users and provide a less disruptive experience in tranistions.

                                • Remember my location within the files for each team

I work on many different clients as a consultant. This requires me to regularly switch between clients. When using SharePoint on the web, I just switch tabs and it brings me to where I left off in the file hierarchy for that team. It would be great if I could switch between teams in the Teams app without losing my place in each file hierarchy.

                                    • Being able to link documents in a wiki from a dropdown list of the documents in that channel

When linking form wiki to documents within the channel, it would be nice to select the document form a dropdown list within the wiki and have to go back an forth to copy a link that might change.

                                      • Auto Save back to SharePoint

Like in SharePoint, if you open a file from SharePoint, it typically saves back to SharePoint.

I use a program called Storyline to develop eLearning. I can open the File from a SharePoint site and the changes are saved back to SharePoint, but I cannot do this from Files in Teams. Therefore, I have to download the File, make edits and then manually reupload the File. Sometimes, I forget to do the final reupload and so my Files tab doesn't have the most current version.

Please enable Teams to have the same features as SharePoint.
