Chat with only 20 people?
The chat tab gives you the ability to only chat in the same time with 20 people and no more. Is it possible to get this changed and have more then 20 people in this chat? I know we can chat in the group team where more then 20 can join but it is not the same. Chat experience is different t on chat then I'm the group and some people like it this way. If 20 can join, why not more?
36 votesYou can include up to 100 people in a group chat.

MAC app fails to update with standard account (needs admin creds)
On most Macs I’ve tried, the automatic update framework is pretty aggressive, and apparently cannot be unconfigured. However, it consistently fails to update the app when I’m logged in with a standard account. The app occasionally prompts for admin creds (I assume it’s making an update helper daemon), and I supply them, but the only Helper process Teams ever runs is owned by the standard account. I’m not sure exactly what to suggest here, because there are several opportunities for change, some of which might obviate usefulness of others. Ideas might be some user interaction to defer the forced relaunch…
133 votesHi everyone,
Wanted to let you know that a New Mac installer has released to the Public ring. It has a new auto-update mechanism and will no longer require an admin password for updating!
Thank you for your support and feedback!

Screen share toolbar obstructing browser tabs
Issue:
The MS Teams screen share toolbar obstructs browser tabs in Chrome and Edge. The toolbar does auto-collapse but takes too long (approx. 5 seconds). Skype for Business' toolbar collapses almost immediately. Also the MS Teams toolbar cannot be moved as the Skype for Business one can.Workaround:
Clicking the pin icon on the toolbar twice collapses it immediately but it reappears when you move the cursor near the top of the screen againPreferred Solution:
Make the toolbar collapse immediately when unpinned and make it possible to move it125 votesHappy holidays everyone! This is done.

See usage stats per team in Admin Center
We need to be able to see usage stats per team in admin center. Current stats show usage per user. This tells us very little as a user can be a member of multiple teams. Business area owner and rollout/adoption managers want to be able to select a team and see how much activity per week/month etc. In our case, this is the only metric that they're interested in.
210 votesThe Teams Admin Center has this functionality.

Guest Access
Collaboration is a core element of how we work which requires the creation of extended teams on a project or long term engagement. Whilst the majority of our teams are internal staff, there is still a critical element of any project that requires the inclusion of our clients and/or external vendors. It is imperative that Microsoft Teams allows for the easy (but secure) inclusion of external parties for the length of any project or engagement.
This is why historically products like Groups etc. have not been adopted as widely as we would hope. If the tool only allows for 60-70%…
8,118 votesThe #1 requested feature for Microsoft Teams is now here!
We’re starting to roll out the ability to add anyone as a guest in Microsoft Teams. This means that anyone with a business or consumer email account, such as Outlook.com, Gmail.com or others, can participate as a guest in Teams with full access to team chats, meetings and files.

Hello, I have a question about MS Teams Guest Access. Is there any working on Guest acces to login-sign in MS teams planner or tasks?
Guest Accounts can see chat, folders etc but can not open planner tasks ?
Thanks.353 votesGreat news! This feature has been rolled out and Guests can now see Planner Tasks in Teams. To learn more about using Planner in Teams, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/office/use-planner-in-microsoft-teams-62798a9f-e8f7-4722-a700-27dd28a06ee0.

It's distracting to get a chat message when a meeting has started or ended
This should be a notification option that you can turn off. Currently you see a chat item for your attention. You go to it only to see that the meeting you just started, or just ended, started or ended. You already know that, and the notification is just wasting your time.
393 votesWe are happy to announce this feature is released. By default meeting chats will be muted until send a message in the chat, or join the online meeting. To change these defaults, go to your profile picture at the top right of the app, select Settings > Notifications. From there, scroll to the meetings section and open the menu next to Meeting chat notifications.

Thanks for all of your feedback. The team has been hard at work on improving notifications, and has added more options for Teams & Channels. Japanese IME bug - when typing roman alphabets with Japanese IME on
Windows Japanese IME is quite smart and allows users to enter roman alphabets (not Japanese characters) if the user typing with Shift pressed - even if the IME is on. It's very useful and many Japaneses utilize this function. Since IME is on during it, the user needs to press Enter to confirm the input.
Regarding input in Teams, sometimes IME turns off when I enter roman alphabets pressing Shift with IME on. Then, what happens is I press Enter without notice that IME turns off and submit the message accidentally. It's quite stressful.
If I can choose not to…

Allow the hiding of embedded images, animated gifs, videos - like Slack does
Users can paste/embed large, wild, distracting images, animated gifs, videos, etc, into the conversation window. That is fine, but recipients and senders should be able to later HIDE those, because they're ever-present and very distracting--until the conversation progresses long enough that the distracting images get scrolled out of view.
Slack allows these to be hidden and it's a very nice feature.

E911 support in Teams (like in Skype)
E911 for Teams. E911 is required for any corporate deployment and the minimum functional level would be the equivalent of what Skype for business server offers right now. Please see the following:
911 and mobility
A user is mobile inside an organization multiple geographic locations and can call the 911 from anywhere with a PC on the lan with identified subnet.
Currently from the skype documentation:
“In a Skype for Business Server E9-1-1 deployment, each internally-connected Skype for Business or Lync Phone Edition client actively acquires its own location. After SIP registration, the client furnishes all the network connectivity…89 votes -
Allow turning off automatic spell checking
Please add the ability to turn off the "check spelling as I type" feature in the Microsoft Teams Windows app. I use the web app instead of the Windows app simply because I cannot turn off this feature in the Windows app. My opinion is probably in the minority, but I find automatic, real-time spell checking (with the squiggly red lines) to be the most annoying feature ever implemented in any computer program -- even worse than "Clippy" the Windows paperclip help assistant.
241 votesThank you for your continued feedback. The team has been hard at work on improving all of our users’ experiences, and now you have the ability to turn off automatic spell checking!

Poor admin portal Teams name search
Need to have partial searching in the Manage Teams area of the Admin Portal. We only have 100 teams so far and it's already getting unmanageable as the search only matches from the start of the Team name e.g. Team called "Business Development" doesn't appear in search results for 'Development'.
Additionally, not being able to sort the columns or export the list is very unhelpful.

Need full capabilities of Planner in Teams
Right now you can add a new tab for Planner in Teams. However, you are not afforded all the capabilities of Planner in this tab. Its really "Planner Lite." Here are some items you cannot do with Planner in Teams:
1) If you create a Planner in Teams, it will not be shown in Planner itself!
2) you can go to the group (in web outlook) wich is automatically created for the team and click there on planner and it will take you to the planner for the new group, which then cannot be displayed at teams, but the team…6,200 votesThe last item in the original list, #5, is covered in https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/17017147-notification-for-planner-tasks. That one (planner task notifications) is currently in internal testing with a target for release in early Q2.
Because there are many different requests in the comments which makes it hard to update and track status of individual items, we are marking this completed, and will user individual UserVoice items to track any further Planner integration. If you have suggestions in the comments below that don’t have an existing UserVoice item, please feel free to create one.

Enable screen sharing without audio/video call
Enable an option to start a screen sharing session without starting a an audio.video call. This is a common use case in our organization.
5,671 votesUPDATE: I have confirmed with the feature team that this is, in fact, functioning as you expect – you can share your entire desktop or a specific window directly from a private chat session, without starting audio or video. The mute microphone button is enabled so you are able to easily add audio by “unmuting”, but we realize this is causing confusion. We are working on further experience improvements.
Please feel free to respond to teamsml@microsoft.com if you are still seeing issues.
Thanks,

Allow removal of people from Group Chats
Once a person is added to a group chat. You cannot remove them. You must create a new chat and lose all the history.

Note: Your admin will need to turn on this setting to allow members to remove each other from a group chat.
Enjoy!
