We’ve created the ability for you to adjust your font with a keyboard shortcut.
Just click Ctrl + or Ctrl – to make your font bigger or smaller, respectively.
Let me know if you have any questions!

  2. Option to view documents (PDF) inside Teams

At least for PDF documents, there should be a way to view these team files directly in the client, instead of always opening them in the web browser. This is useful when you just want to take a quick look at some doc. and don't want to be thrown out of Teams just for that - it's even more annoying when you use the dark theme, while the browser is completely white. Of course, the option to download should still remain.

  3. Files Sharing - Drag/Drop

    Files Sharing
Its a bit annoying that I can't just drag and drop a file to share with someone and that I have to go online to see the file instead of it just showing me the file within the conversation... Doesn't much sense to have to leave the app to another app to see a file.
All this should work like Slack...!

  5. Fix the Emoji List - GIPHY IS MISSING!

When I click on the emoji window, I don't see a GIPHY entry.

Plz fix and allow the use of GIFs stored locally.

Thanks for your feedback! You can enable our integration with giphy in the admin portal – please reach out to your IT admin to get this great feature! Once it’s enabled, please wait ~15 minutes to see this feature in your app. If you have recently tried this, please try again as we just fixed an issue with this setting.

  6. Want to be able to @mention an entire team.

Say for instance, one of our sales people wants to pose a question to our engineering team. And they really aren't sure who to pose the question to.

Could they have the ability within the sales team, to start a conversation/thread by @mentioning the entire engineering team.

Just tag the channel “General” in your message and it notify all your users of your message.

  7. Auto-detect links

I posted a link to a site, and it did not automatically convert it to a clickable link. It is extremely important that links be treated as links and made easy to click on for our users. We are a completely virtual company, and we OFTEN share links with each other. Having to highlight and copy and paste into a browser is not efficient.

Links are recognized in Teams. However, some links do not parse anywhere (in Teams or wherever you’re pasting it). Let me know if you have any questions!

We have theme support right now! Please visit Settings → Themes to see the 3 themes we’ve released so far. Please let us know what other themes you would like.

  9. No URL support at all?

When I paste a URL it just shows up as plain text and my coworkers must copy and paste it manually into a browser...

    Hi Kyle,

Yes, we do support URLs, so they should appear as hyperlinks when you copy and paste them into Teams.

As you pointed out in your comment, there are a number of URL formats that do not parse. That’s an issue on whatever website you’re pasting from; its not on the part of Teams functionality.

Let me know if you have any questions on this!

  11. Ability to pin a website

Would like to pin a website to the channel/team. This way for e.g. I could have product documentation that I often look up could be just a click way from Team workspace....

  12. @mentions

Can we have @mentions as we have in outlook? If I'm in a group I want to be able to leave a message to a specific person. As you do in Yammer also.

This feature is available on the product. Just type “@” and start typing the person’s name. It will show you search results of people in your organization. Let me know if you have any more questions on this!

Thanks for your feedback! Can you please provide more information? We currently support creating teams from a private O365 group in the “Create team” dialog as long as you’re an admin, so if this isn’t working for you, would love to get more details so we can troubleshoot. Thanks!

  14. Search tool highlighting

The search tool needs to highlight results founds in the channels. It is difficult to see results found in longer posts.

The product does highlight the results, and shows the results in the left rail. Let me know if you have any questions on this!

  15. Change the highlighter effect in the dark theme

The highlighter effect works very well I the default theme, however if you use the dark theme it makes the text unreadable.

Thanks for your feedback! We currently have support for Giphy in our product. Please reach out to your IT admin as it is possible that the Giphy integration is disabled for your tenant.

  17. Enable integration of existing SharePoint team sites into Skype Teams

We have an existing SharePoint Team Site that we use to sync our OneDrive service (250GB+) we need to be able to use that within Skype Teams as our team site... not create another one. Or as an interim be able to add the Team site as another option in the left pane that contains 'recent, skype teams and onedrive.'

This is supported now! In a channel, you can add a tab and select “Sharepoint” as the tab type. This should allow you to integrate an existing Sharepoint into your team. Let us know what you think!

  18. Web version that works in browsers

It'd be nice to have a Web version of this that runs in modern browsers across all platforms. Chromebooks are popular in US schools so a Web version could hit this market. Plus, there are people (like me) that simply prefer Web versions of product nowadays.

  19. Ability to remove people from a chat stream

Having the ability to remove staff from a chat means that Teams could be used for discussing projects. Once someone leave a project they should no longer be able to see the chat from their previous one. This would help us to reduce confusion and notifications which are not needed.
