  1. Allow to share screen to External Contacts directly through Chat

Allow to share screen to External Contacts directly through Chat. Currently we can only share our screen to external contacts when in a meeting. We can share screen to our internal colleagues but not to External Users. We will be needing to add them as a Guest Users first.

  2. "Cannot request a keyboard control from the guest user"

    Hello,

My team would like to replace WebEx with Teams for Customer Support calls, but not all of our Customers have or use Teams logins. And, although Guest users can join a Teams meeting and share their desktops, they are unable to share control of their desktops. To more efficiently diagnose and resolve issues, we need to be able to request control of their shared desktops.

On the Sharing menu, the Guest login is unable to "Give control" and as the meeting organizer I get a "Requesting control is disabled by sharer company's administrator" error when clicking the "Request control"…

  3. Enable Remote control for external contacts(Guests) when you share your screen

Right now, if you have a Meeting with someone that is not part of your Tenant, you only can share your screen to present what are you seeing at your screen; but if you want that the guest could take remote control of your screen this cannot be performed.

Please enable remote control for external contacts (Guest) in order to use Teams instead of Join.me or Teamviewer

  4. allow guest access to be turned off by default and have the ability to add guest access for individual teams.

currently if we want any team to have guest access it has to be turned on globally. we want to have it turned off by default and still have ability to allow for designated teams. currently we have to catch each team when created and turn off and then turn it on for designated teams. this is a cumbersome process.

  5. Guest Access with Team Code or Teams Link

Allow Guest Access users to easily join via Team Code or link to Teams Channel. Adding guests one by one can be tiring when you're inviting hundreds of guests to a Team.

  6. Ability to invite non-members to chat and meetings whilst restricting access to all other content.

To have the ability to invite non-members to a private channel meeting or chat whilst restricting their access to all other content. Their inactivity in a chat or meeting will disconnect them permanently after a set period, e.g. 60 minutes.

  7. Guest access should be implemented at the Channel level

Once I enabled guest access on the tenant I can enable guest access to a team, but I can't give guest access to a single channel. There should be a way to do this as I will now need to create a guest team and an internal team when I share teams with customers.

  8. Provide a much more obvious indicator that a Team has "Guests"

My organization is EXTREMELY worried that a user may post something in a Team that has Guests without realizing external Customers may be in the Team. We are using the nomenclature that a Team name in ALL CAPS is a Team with external people, but it would be great if we could turn on a Banner on Posts (similar to the "This post will be seen by 65 people") in red or yellow so it's very very apparent that you are posting something external people can see.

  9. resending invitation to join microsoft team

Please allow for some way to resend the inital invitation to a Team. Every time I do this at least one person never gets the mail it would be great if I could go to their name and just click a resend email.

  10. lack of retention and controls for users when they guest into other tenant

When our Teams users guest into another company's tenant, our tenant doesn't capture the eComms for private or channel chats and channel files viewed, edited, or shared which could present compliance, retention, auditing and legal issues.Retaining that data , providing audit logs showing who guested into which tenants when, being able to disable our users ability to guest into other company's tenants and being able to configure whitelists of allowable tenants for our users to guest into along with graph apis for pulling the captured retention data is a must have,

  11. allow Direct Team To Team Intergration

Currently, When you access a Guest Team you need to switch to the Guest user. I would like to See the External Team in my Teams App. this will allow better notifications as well as better integration

  12. Invite external users (guests) during MS Teams meeting

Currently, organizers can only invite organization-affiliated members to join the meeting *while the meeting is running*. For external users, you have to copy the meeting link, paste it into an email and send it. This is very inconvenient. It would be good to permit (like you can in the invite to the meeting) simply type the email addresses of extenal users while being in a meeting to also invite them.

  14. removing the need to do tenant switching when you participate in another organization's teams as a guest.

Hello. We have been trying to get our university community to adopt Teams as a collaboration suite. We run into the problem that external/guest Team users have to switch to our organization/tenant to take part in the relevant Teams in order to collaborate with us. The same also applies with our users participating as guests in other organisations. We are getting feedback from external partners, consultants and even from some of our own faculties that this not the best user experience. We also get comments that other tools on the market (even Microsoft skype for business) handle it in a…

  15. Allow guest users to search files

Internal users can see three tabs, Messages, People and Files when they input keywords in the search bar. However, guest users can only see two tabs, Messages and People. The Files tab is not shown to guest users when they search keywords. So, it would be great that guest users can search files.

  17. Logging user’s activities which have done in the external tenant

I would like you to add a feature to collect user activity logs such as file uploading and conversation histories which has been done in the external tenant where the user had been invited in.

  18. Hide internal user presences of a tenant which invites a guest user from Outlook client for the guest

In Teams, if a guest user is signing in to a tenant whose invited in, the internal user presences of the tenant are shown in the guest user’s Outlook client. However, for the security reason, we don’t want the guest user to see the internal presences and would like to have a feature to hide the user presences of the tenant.

  19. Do not automatically add guests to org-wide teams

When a org-wide team is created, have an option to not automatically add guest accounts.

We have a org-wide company team for general chit chat, but don't want guests (eg: customers) to join/see this (for obvious reasons haha!)

  20. Show Teams from Guest Tenant in Sections rather than switching Tenant

Instead of having to switch Tenant, why not add a section Guest where Teams from other Tenants are displayed while still displaying our home tenant Teams.
