  1. Allow to share screen to External Contacts directly through Chat

Allow to share screen to External Contacts directly through Chat. Currently we can only share our screen to external contacts when in a meeting. We can share screen to our internal colleagues but not to External Users. We will be needing to add them as a Guest Users first.

  2. Enable Remote control for external contacts(Guests) when you share your screen

Right now, if you have a Meeting with someone that is not part of your Tenant, you only can share your screen to present what are you seeing at your screen; but if you want that the guest could take remote control of your screen this cannot be performed.

Please enable remote control for external contacts (Guest) in order to use Teams instead of Join.me or Teamviewer

  3. "Cannot request a keyboard control from the guest user"

    Hello,

My team would like to replace WebEx with Teams for Customer Support calls, but not all of our Customers have or use Teams logins. And, although Guest users can join a Teams meeting and share their desktops, they are unable to share control of their desktops. To more efficiently diagnose and resolve issues, we need to be able to request control of their shared desktops.

On the Sharing menu, the Guest login is unable to "Give control" and as the meeting organizer I get a "Requesting control is disabled by sharer company's administrator" error when clicking the "Request control"…

  4. allow guest access to be turned off by default and have the ability to add guest access for individual teams.

currently if we want any team to have guest access it has to be turned on globally. we want to have it turned off by default and still have ability to allow for designated teams. currently we have to catch each team when created and turn off and then turn it on for designated teams. this is a cumbersome process.

  5. Guest access should be implemented at the Channel level

Once I enabled guest access on the tenant I can enable guest access to a team, but I can't give guest access to a single channel. There should be a way to do this as I will now need to create a guest team and an internal team when I share teams with customers.

  6. Provide a much more obvious indicator that a Team has "Guests"

My organization is EXTREMELY worried that a user may post something in a Team that has Guests without realizing external Customers may be in the Team. We are using the nomenclature that a Team name in ALL CAPS is a Team with external people, but it would be great if we could turn on a Banner on Posts (similar to the "This post will be seen by 65 people") in red or yellow so it's very very apparent that you are posting something external people can see.

  7. Guest Access with Team Code or Teams Link

Allow Guest Access users to easily join via Team Code or link to Teams Channel. Adding guests one by one can be tiring when you're inviting hundreds of guests to a Team.

  8. resending invitation to join microsoft team

Please allow for some way to resend the inital invitation to a Team. Every time I do this at least one person never gets the mail it would be great if I could go to their name and just click a resend email.

  10. Show Teams from Guest Tenant in Sections rather than switching Tenant

Instead of having to switch Tenant, why not add a section Guest where Teams from other Tenants are displayed while still displaying our home tenant Teams.

  11. View the external team in my own tenant that I’m participating as a guest

We have to switch between tenants when accessing the external team, and there is some business impact.
So, it would be great to have a feature that can view the external team that I’m participating as a guest in own tenant screen.

  12. Microsoft Teams Allow Domain List

Add the ability to create an allow domain list per Microsoft Teams (and Office Groups) instance. The only means to control allowed domain lists is at the Azure Active Directory tenant level. The SharePoint site collection allow domain list model is a good analogy where each site collection can have a dedicated allow domain list.

  13. Allow anonymous guests to chat within a meeting

Currently, if a guest joins a meeting anonymously, it seems they cannot chat with each other or the organiser.

If someone wanted to use Teams to webcast to a wide range of users who mostly don't have a Teams account, and may be private citizens rather than organisations, the only option for them to join is anonymously.

But they then can't use the Chat feature to ask questions (which would be preferable to them using audio on a busy webcast).

Or is this feature already planned in and coming soon...?

    Thanks,

  14. Guest functionality makes for scizofrenic messaging

When you are added as a guest to another tenant, you will by default appear in search with your email (user@company.com) in the internal search results.

Chats sent to "internal" results of a guest will be stuck in the guest tenant until the user intentionally revisits that tenant. There is no quickly visible "external message" option - the end user has to know about this limitation, click "search externally" then send the message to have it deliver.

This is extremely unintuitive and leads to a scizofrenic messaging experience once you get added across a number of organizations and…

  15. Do not automatically add guests to org-wide teams

When a org-wide team is created, have an option to not automatically add guest accounts.

We have a org-wide company team for general chit chat, but don't want guests (eg: customers) to join/see this (for obvious reasons haha!)

  16. Guest Access Permission

It is currently very difficult to control Guess Access Permissions in MS Teams. We only have the options to block creation, editing or deletion of Channels, but a Guest can delete all contents of a Channel and even empty the SharePoint recycle bin.
The only workaround I have found to date is the following:
In SharePoint Site Permissions, create a new Permission Level that does not allow file deletion, move the O-365 Group from the Edit Permission Level to the new restricted Permission Level, then manually add Internal Members to the Edit Permission Level.
The above workaround will allow only…

  18. Please Improve External Sharing

I'm an admin for two partner companies that both have Office365 accounts for their respective companies. We used Skype for Business daily for communication and screen sharing between our companies. Skype for Business was easy: Click on a contact or contacts, share your screen.

Now with teams, we can not share easily our screen with external contacts (see screenshot) Not one on one, not in a group. Instead we have to create a team, add both internal and external contacts as a "guest". The external contact then has to switch profiles in team from their main account, to their "guest"…

  19. External Federation

    Hello,

My organization has just flipped the switch to go into Teams-Only Mode along with another O365 Tenant which was planned out perfectly.

Today we have done this & I can communicate via Chat/Call with the 3rd Party Tenant, however I cannot share files or perform screen shares. We also do not appear to be able to get Presence from these External Tenants.

When can we expect P2P File Sharing & Screen Sharing Capabilities. We had this in SfB as a native feature.

  20. Guest users in Teams/Shifts

The ability to add guest users into Shifts is essential. Can you advise if this is on the roadmap and roughly when. I will have to look for an alternate product
