  1. Allow to share screen to External Contacts directly through Chat

Allow to share screen to External Contacts directly through Chat. Currently we can only share our screen to external contacts when in a meeting. We can share screen to our internal colleagues but not to External Users. We will be needing to add them as a Guest Users first.

  2. Enable Remote control for external contacts(Guests) when you share your screen

Right now, if you have a Meeting with someone that is not part of your Tenant, you only can share your screen to present what are you seeing at your screen; but if you want that the guest could take remote control of your screen this cannot be performed.

Please enable remote control for external contacts (Guest) in order to use Teams instead of Join.me or Teamviewer

  3. "Cannot request a keyboard control from the guest user"

    Hello,

My team would like to replace WebEx with Teams for Customer Support calls, but not all of our Customers have or use Teams logins. And, although Guest users can join a Teams meeting and share their desktops, they are unable to share control of their desktops. To more efficiently diagnose and resolve issues, we need to be able to request control of their shared desktops.

On the Sharing menu, the Guest login is unable to "Give control" and as the meeting organizer I get a "Requesting control is disabled by sharer company's administrator" error when clicking the "Request control"…

  4. Provide a much more obvious indicator that a Team has "Guests"

My organization is EXTREMELY worried that a user may post something in a Team that has Guests without realizing external Customers may be in the Team. We are using the nomenclature that a Team name in ALL CAPS is a Team with external people, but it would be great if we could turn on a Banner on Posts (similar to the "This post will be seen by 65 people") in red or yellow so it's very very apparent that you are posting something external people can see.

  5. Guest access should be implemented at the Channel level

Once I enabled guest access on the tenant I can enable guest access to a team, but I can't give guest access to a single channel. There should be a way to do this as I will now need to create a guest team and an internal team when I share teams with customers.

  6. resending invitation to join microsoft team

Please allow for some way to resend the inital invitation to a Team. Every time I do this at least one person never gets the mail it would be great if I could go to their name and just click a resend email.

  7. Guest functionality makes for scizofrenic messaging

When you are added as a guest to another tenant, you will by default appear in search with your email (user@company.com) in the internal search results.

Chats sent to "internal" results of a guest will be stuck in the guest tenant until the user intentionally revisits that tenant. There is no quickly visible "external message" option - the end user has to know about this limitation, click "search externally" then send the message to have it deliver.

This is extremely unintuitive and leads to a scizofrenic messaging experience once you get added across a number of organizations and…

  8. Show Teams from Guest Tenant in Sections rather than switching Tenant

Instead of having to switch Tenant, why not add a section Guest where Teams from other Tenants are displayed while still displaying our home tenant Teams.

  9. Allow anonymous guests to chat within a meeting

Currently, if a guest joins a meeting anonymously, it seems they cannot chat with each other or the organiser.

If someone wanted to use Teams to webcast to a wide range of users who mostly don't have a Teams account, and may be private citizens rather than organisations, the only option for them to join is anonymously.

But they then can't use the Chat feature to ask questions (which would be preferable to them using audio on a busy webcast).

Or is this feature already planned in and coming soon...?

    Thanks,

  10. Rethink Guest Access

Switching 'tenants" is impractical for most business uses. Your average CEO, or hourly employee, is not going to remember to switch accounts to see negotiations. The fact that you can't see notifications seemlessly from one account is why you need to rethink the guest access layout.

It would better to see all notifications AND ANSWER THEM from your 'main' account. Not after you switch to your guest account. Efficient communication is thrown to the wayside with the current guest access setup. To me, guest access is useless.

  11. Lets us disable editing for Guests!!!..... please ~:|

Still can't disable editing for guests... isn't this bothering anybody else??? The "Visitors" settings when sharing files or within SharePoint don't correlate at all with Guests in Teams (which I'm sure they are supposed to)... The only way I can find to disable editing for Guests is to disable editing for Members on every file, one at a time, but then the Members can't edit the files either..... This is ridiculous, right? There should be a big giant switch in the Team settings that says "Allow Guests to edit files".... but there isn't :[

  13. Solution for guests accounts with an organisation account without Office365 tenant to be able to login at teams.microsoft.com

I have created several guest accounts following the instructions here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/guest-access

    Basically,

    1. Enabled Guest Access in Office365 Admin Center

    2. Added guest account through Azure Active Directory

    a. Guest account received email Azure AD "You're invited to the organization"

    b. Guest follows the "Get Started" link in the email to create a password

    4. Added guest to a Team through Microsoft Teams desktop application

    a. Guest account received email Teams "You have been added to a team in Microsoft Teams"

    b. Guest follows the "Open Microsoft Teams" link in the email to be sent to teams.microsoft.com

    c. Guest is…

  14. Guest Access to see Planner Tasks

  15. Guest Display Name

Please provide a more obvious signal to the Owner who is adding a guest - to designate the Display Name at the time of adding a Guest.

If you don't edit the guest account name (by clicking on that teeny-tiny little edit button on the guest's email address) before you click 'Add' - there is no way to edit the Guest's display name.

    Gotta delete and re-add.

Would be nice for a little more signal to the owner that "Here is where you set the Guest's Display Name."

  16. Do not automatically add guests to org-wide teams

When a org-wide team is created, have an option to not automatically add guest accounts.

We have a org-wide company team for general chit chat, but don't want guests (eg: customers) to join/see this (for obvious reasons haha!)

  17. Manage guest access for team-level from Microsoft Teams admin center

We need to use Azure Active Directory connected Windows PowerShell to perform guest access setting for each team in Microsoft Teams, which is a quite complex process.
I would like you to enable team-level guest access control in Microsoft Teams admin center to easily manage guest access approval and blocking.

  18. Receive PSTN Calls When a Guest in Another Tenant

When I am logged into my team that my PSTN is connected to I receive calls in Teams from my PSTN Plan number. When I switch to another team using the dropdown for fast team switching where I am a setup as a guest, I no longer receive these calls (even though I am authenticated on my primary domain/team as the PSTN account).

Please make it so your PSTN account works with either: a) your main account you are logged in as, whether as user or guest in a foreign tenant, or; b) when signed in with multiple O365 accounts,…

  19. Prohibit to add guest users

I would like you to implement a feature that can prohibit to add guest users by default when a user creates a team while only specific team can add guest users.

  20. Remove Guest Accounts from search Results when Guest Access is disbaled in Teams tenant

We have disabled Guest Access for Teams (using it for other workloads), however Guest Accounts are still being displayed when searching for users in Teams. This can be congfusing for some users when trying to contact them via Federation.
