  1. Invite external users (guests) during MS Teams meeting

    Currently, organizers can only invite organization-affiliated members to join the meeting while the meeting is running. For external users, you have to copy the meeting link, paste it into an email and send it. This is very inconvenient. It would be good to permit (like you can in the invite to the meeting) simply type the email addresses of extenal users while being in a meeting to also invite them.

  3. Please enable an audit feature for lobby admits

    Please add audit functionality for Teams for who admitted people from the lobby and what time they were admitted.

    This allows us to add who audit who was in a meeting from outside our org or federated orgs.

  4. Switch between display of external tenants on the Teams screen

    *English follows Japanese

    ■Title(件名):
    Microsoft Teams 画面の外部テナント切替表示について
    Switch between display of external tenants on the Teams screen

    ■Description(内容):
    現在、ゲストとして外部テナントの Microsoft Teams チームに招待され、参加した場合、Microsoft Teams 画面右上のアイコン付近にゲストとして参加している外部テナントに切り替える項目が表示される。
    ゲストとして参加した外部テナントのチームから脱退、または参加している外部テナントのMicrosoft Teams チームが削除された際も、Microsoft Teams 画面上のゲストとして参加していた外部テナントの表示は残存し、現状は削除することができない。
    不要になった外部テナント切替表示を削除する機能の追加を希望します。

    Currently, if you are invited to a team by an external tenant as a guest, and join, an item in the top right, near your icon, appears allowing you to switch to the external tenant you’re participating in as a guest.
    If you leave the external tenant team which you are participating in as a guest, or if an external tenant Teams team you are in is deleted, the icon…

  5. Hide guest email address from other guests

    Would like to use Teams as a platform to interact with coworkers and employees that don't have a company email or Office 365 account. The only thing preventing this from happening, is that their private/personal email addresses are shared with others. To protect their privacy, I'd like the ability to hide their contact info from other guests.

  6. Sharing screens rather than sharing applications

    When sharing the screen, in fact the screen is not shared but the application is shared with the other side. It means, if the host user drags other application over the shared application in that screen, the guest still sees the older application not the one dragged over. Every time, the host should stop sharing and re-do sharing if they want to share a new application.

  7. Further options to restrict file uploads when guests are participating in another separate tenant as a guest user

    *English follows Japanese

    ■Title(件名):
    別テナントにゲスト ユーザーとして参加している場合のファイルのアップロードを制御する機能の拡充
    Further options to restrict file uploads when guests are participating in another separate tenant as a guest user

    ■Description(内容):
    Microsoft Teams において、ゲストを招待したテナントではゲスト ユーザーに対してファイルのアップロードなどを SharePoint Online のアクセス権限をカスタマイズすることで制御は可能だが、ゲスト ユーザーのテナント側で別テナントにゲストとして参加している際のファイルのアップロードなどを制御することができない。
    ゲストとして参加しているテナントにてファイルのアップロードが許可されていると、自テナント内の情報などを不用意に別テナントに共有される恐れがあるため、ゲストとして参加した際のファイルのアップロードを制御する機能の拡充を希望します。
    It is possible to restrict file uploads in Teams for guest users from other tenants, by customizing access rights in SharePoint Online, however there is no way to restrict file uploads specifically in cases where the guest user in question is also in another separate tenant as a guest user.
    If file uploads on this other tenant are permitted, it is possible for them to share…

  8. Allow admins to manage users who are not invited the meeting and join the meeting by using the meeting URL

    Currently, users who knows the meeting URL can join the meeting without any restriction even they are not invited. From management point of view, we believe that we should control attendees who would join the meeting via the meeting URL. So, it would be great if admins could have a feature to manage users who have joined in the meeting via the meeting URL.

  10. Enable Remote control for external contacts(Guests) when you share your screen

    Right now, if you have a Meeting with someone that is not part of your Tenant, you only can share your screen to present what are you seeing at your screen; but if you want that the guest could take remote control of your screen this cannot be performed.

    Please enable remote control for external contacts (Guest) in order to use Teams instead of Join.me or Teamviewer

  12. Allow guest (invited to Team or Meeting) access to the whiteboard

    Allow guest (invited to Team or Meeting) access to the whiteboard. Team Owner or Meeting Host should have the ability to enable/disable as needed.

  13. Adding External Guests to a Team currently needs 2 stages of Authentication.

    Currently the Team Owner has to Invite the Guest twice before they can join the Team.

    Once creates the AzureAD guest account and once the guest has provided MFA details, the Owner has to invite them again or the Guest just sees a blank page.

    Please make this a one step process so that the Actual Team Invite is waiting in the wings for the guest to complete authentication and then it adds the user automatically.

  14. Specify visibilty / access for channels, files, tabs for guests and implement this in templates

    Hi there,

    our team collaborates with client in every project (otherwise there would be no project). We need teams to give us the ability to specify very easily and very clearly (in a visible way) which parts of a team, the client can see. "Basecamp" does am excellent job at this, also highlighting the files, that the client can see.

    Right now, when we invitie a client to the team, the client automatically has access to everything, except for private channels. But it takes a lot of effort to plan in advance which parts (channels) of the team should be…

  15. Let users and admins control status visibility to externals/guests

    Let users and admins control status visibility to externals/guests. Sometimes it is a wanted feature to show your status to a guest or external org, but mostly people don't want to be seen as available to guests/externals.

    As an example scenario, some customers are joined to our tenant as guests and after they see some specific developer online, they start asking for service directly instead of going through regular channels.

  16. Block the guest access on organization-wide while allowing the guest access to the certain team

    I would like to block the guest access on organization-wide while allowing the guest access to only the certain team in Teams.
    Slack have similar settings, so it would be great if Teams would have the feature.

  17. Lobby

    If anonymous users are in the lobby (e.g. joining by first name only), it would be good to have a feature that allows communicating with users waiting in the lobby for identification (e.g. ask them to provide additional informaiton who they are). At present, you only have accept/reject option.

  18. "Cannot request a keyboard control from the guest user"

    Hello,

    My team would like to replace WebEx with Teams for Customer Support calls, but not all of our Customers have or use Teams logins. And, although Guest users can join a Teams meeting and share their desktops, they are unable to share control of their desktops. To more efficiently diagnose and resolve issues, we need to be able to request control of their shared desktops.

    On the Sharing menu, the Guest login is unable to "Give control" and as the meeting organizer I get a "Requesting control is disabled by sharer company's administrator" error when clicking the "Request control"…

  20. Allow external access for Teams meetings but restrict external access using federation for Teams

    I would like to allow external access for all users in a tenant to be able to hold Microsoft Teams meetings (we are not using Skype for Business) BUT I would like to restrict external access for use with Microsoft Teams teams and channels to domains that I purposefully allow federated access to in my tenant. I don't want it to be all or nothing where I can only communicate with federated domains and not allow messaging and meetings with domains outside of that list OR I have to allow all domains but block domains I don't want people to…
