  1. Delete files shared in chat

Files shared in Chat are stored to OneDrive, but there is no way to delete file from within Teams. When file is deleted from OneDrive, it is (of course) no longer available and the individual gets a "Sorry, we couldn't find you file" error.

I would like to remove the shared file entry from the Teams chat.

  2. Upload files into directly into folders in Teams on iOS app

A requested feature in Teams on iOS device is the ability to upload files directly to folders in Teams. At this time, you may upload files in the conversation tab, but it will be uploaded directly in the root of the team. In what I request, you should be able to access the Teams file archive, go to the folder where you want to upload the file and then upload.

The picture shows where I'd love to have an "attach a file"-button.

  3. URL shortener for Teams

When using the "get link" option in teams it would be better to have an embedded link shortener. Pasting the link in email looks terrible.

  4. Drag and Drop Outlook Attachments into Files

Would be great if you could drag and drop Outlook attachments right into Teams. The need to download/save the file, then go to that location and drag into Teams seems silly!

  6. Add other Sharepoint document folders under Files

Please allow adding granular SharePoint document library subfolders to the Files tab. Currently, only the document library level can be added, not sub folders.

This allows adding content from related but separate SharePoint sites without having to provide the entire document library (which may contain irrelevant content to the Team)

  7. Teams Files Cloud Storage Availbale on Mobile

From within my Team, in my Files area, I have the option to add cloud storage. I can then see this from Teams in the desktop Teams client and from web client, however I am not able to see this additional cloud storage when accessing from my iPhone or iPad Teams app.

  8. Print from within Microsoft Teams

Would it be nicer if there was an option allowing someone to print an image, pdf, docx file from withing Teams instead of having to download it first and then print it?

  9. open PBIX (PowerBI) files in PowerBI desktop (similar to Excel)

Teams is super powerful as the one place to keep your files and remove the danger of versioning problems.

However - to collaborate on PBIX files in teams means you need to copy the sharepoint link and paste that into the PBI/Desktop Open dialogue.

That is sub-optimal to say the least. How tricky is it to enable a click on PBIX to open in desktop automatically?

    Thanks guys!

  10. Attach folder in chat

We can attach file in chat, but we can't attach folder in chat. So I'd like to attach folder as this pictures.
And I hope when folder is moved in this channel, this link doesn't be broken.

  11. Scroll to moment in conversation when file was shared

For users where I have long conversations and many files shared, I sometimes need context about what was discussed when a certain file was shared.

Add a link in the context menu for files shared by a person to skip directly to the point in conversation when the file was shared.

  12. Channel templates

It would be nice to have a template for the Files section in Channels. Define your directory structure once, then apply it to every new Channel created in a Team.

  14. Drag and drop - moving files within Teams

Give us the ability to drag and drop folders and files into other folders. This will help us be more organized.

When I use the paper clip to attach a file to a conversation, let me choose if I want it to go into a specific folder under files.

  18. keep file link

File link on teams chat, it should be keep access when file is moved.

Currently, when the file moved to other folder, all file link become "not found" on Teams.
Teams chat doesn't show file path. File link should work without pah concept.

  19. Make the added cloud storage available on the iOS app

Newly added cloud storage (such as Box) won’t be shown in the iOS app which has been added in the file tab from Teams desktop app. I would like you to fix this behavior for the added storage to be available on the iOS app as expected.

  20. External Chat File share

We need the ability to file share directly in chat with external users.

    For context:
I have a team of contract BI developers working to build out our BI system. We often have the need to pass large files back and forth, which prohibits email use. Previously, in Skype for Business, we could drop files into the chat and pass the files directly to the person that needed it. We need this capability back - the current work-arounds for file transfer are significantly more complicated and will end up wasting a decent amount of time in the future.
