  1. Upload files into directly into folders in Teams on iOS app

A requested feature in Teams on iOS device is the ability to upload files directly to folders in Teams. At this time, you may upload files in the conversation tab, but it will be uploaded directly in the root of the team. In what I request, you should be able to access the Teams file archive, go to the folder where you want to upload the file and then upload.

The picture shows where I'd love to have an "attach a file"-button.

  2. Delete files shared in chat

Files shared in Chat are stored to OneDrive, but there is no way to delete file from within Teams. When file is deleted from OneDrive, it is (of course) no longer available and the individual gets a "Sorry, we couldn't find you file" error.

I would like to remove the shared file entry from the Teams chat.

  3. open PBIX (PowerBI) files in PowerBI desktop (similar to Excel)

Teams is super powerful as the one place to keep your files and remove the danger of versioning problems.

However - to collaborate on PBIX files in teams means you need to copy the sharepoint link and paste that into the PBI/Desktop Open dialogue.

That is sub-optimal to say the least. How tricky is it to enable a click on PBIX to open in desktop automatically?

    Thanks guys!

  4. URL shortener for Teams

When using the "get link" option in teams it would be better to have an embedded link shortener. Pasting the link in email looks terrible.

  5. Add other Sharepoint document folders under Files

Please allow adding granular SharePoint document library subfolders to the Files tab. Currently, only the document library level can be added, not sub folders.

This allows adding content from related but separate SharePoint sites without having to provide the entire document library (which may contain irrelevant content to the Team)

  6. Teams Files Cloud Storage Availbale on Mobile

From within my Team, in my Files area, I have the option to add cloud storage. I can then see this from Teams in the desktop Teams client and from web client, however I am not able to see this additional cloud storage when accessing from my iPhone or iPad Teams app.

  7. Print from within Microsoft Teams

Would it be nicer if there was an option allowing someone to print an image, pdf, docx file from withing Teams instead of having to download it first and then print it?

  8. Drag and Drop Outlook Attachments into Files

Would be great if you could drag and drop Outlook attachments right into Teams. The need to download/save the file, then go to that location and drag into Teams seems silly!

  9. Channel templates

It would be nice to have a template for the Files section in Channels. Define your directory structure once, then apply it to every new Channel created in a Team.

  10. Make the added cloud storage available on the iOS app

Newly added cloud storage (such as Box) won’t be shown in the iOS app which has been added in the file tab from Teams desktop app. I would like you to fix this behavior for the added storage to be available on the iOS app as expected.

  12. REPOSITORY: Shared screenshots and Photos

Ability to view all shared photos or screenshots.

It would be nice to have a repository of all phots or screenshot that was sent on the chat for desktop and mobile app.

Right now the process is to search for keywords and browse the conversation to look for the shared photo or screenshot.

  13. Sharing Document from Word/Excel direct in Teams Chat

Would be great to find an easy way to share Documents directly in Word oder Excel to a Teams Chat.
Right now, I have to save the document somewhere, change to the teams app ans then make an upload.
Better would be a Button in Word/Excel where you can share the opended document immediatly ith one klick (or two).

  15. Make shared files available

When you create a chat and you upload files these are available for the people in the chat, but is someone joins the chat AFTER the files were shared the files are not visible for him/her.

    Example:
    Chat created on 05/06/2019
3 People added don the same day
Files uploaded on 07/06/2019 - 3 people can see them.

2 new members added to the chat on 15/06/2019
These two new members cannot see the files uploaded on 07/06/2019 but can see files uploaded after they joined.

If it is a group file will be ideal that all files previously shared…

  16. Lookup files to link to conversations on Teams for iOS like you can on desktop Teams

On Teams for iOS, when posting a new thread in the Conversations tab, you can only attach files from the iOS device or from a OneDrive. You *cannot* look up files on the Teams site and link to them in the conversation like you can on the desktop versions of Teams.

Said another way — we don’t need to upload a new file. We simply need to start a conversation and easily link to an existing file on Teams.

  17. Ability to open multiple documents

Currently If I am editing a File in Teams, and if I have to refer another file present in Teams, I have to forcefully close existing document and go to the next file. It will be a nice to have feature if I can open other documents in Preview mode if I am editing a document.

  18. Files: Preserve navigation history when opening SharePoint file in Teams

Context: I have SharePoint repo linked to a channel in Teams.

Trigger: Using the Files tab, I navigate to the SharePoint repo and open a file in Teams. When I hit the 'Close' button, it takes me straight back to the parent directory of the Files tab.

Response: After the 'Close' button is pressed, I'd like to be taken back to the directory from which I opened the file, in the first place

  19. Too many clicks to open a file

It takes too many clicks to open a file in Teams. It feels a lot like the old sharepoint. When my users click on a file, they want it to open in word or excel or whatever application they need to use with the file.

Instead they have to click the file, then click open in Teams or open in Excel, and if they choose Excel, opening the file is really really slow.
