  1. Shifts time clock on desktop

At the moment, shifts time clock is only available on mobile. It would be useful to add the time clock on desktop too.

  2. Open links to teams in Desktop App

SITUATION: When you receive a link to a Teams file or folder, or really anything in Teams, like a Planner task - it sends you to the sharepoint site, regardless of whether you have the Desktop App installed and even if it is open.

RESOLUTION: Make links to any Teams elements open directly in the Teams Desktop App

This will save so much time and frustration from people, and also make Teams seem like a more integrated solution for everyone.

  3. Ability to prevent auto-start persistantly and programmatically using TAC/Group Policy

    See MSTCommunity request here -

    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/How-to-Prevent-Teams-from-Auto-Launch/m-p/730658#M34150

Even though autostart can be prevented upon installation a single time (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/teams-install) and then turned off manually within the desktop client, there is a need by some businesses to ensure that the Desktop client does not auto-start at any time and yet be able to enable this programmatically via TAC/Group Policy without having to jump in users desktop client to turn it off.

  5. Teams language setting Reset Issue.

We apply a Japanese language pack to "Teams", however after Teams Update, the display setting reset to the English on base language. So I would like you to fix it.
This is because English is set as the display language and the translation function of English can not be used.

  7. Enable full SharePoint navigation

I've linked to a communiction SharePoint homepage in a tab in teams expecting it to essentially be the full SharePoint experience but it cuts out the navigation and literally just shows the web parts of the home page.

I want to be able to navigate the SharePoint as normal from here but from some reason Teams cuts this out.

  8. channel navigation

Bring back "Channels" tab in Team.

What changed suddenly without notice (again)? The navigation within a Team is now almost impossible without scrolling through our entire list of teams, just to find a channel when we are in the active Team.

Please bring back the "Channels" tab on the top where it used to be next to Conversation / Channels / Files...

    This is an urgent need.

  9. Forward Conversations to chat/another team/channel

I love this feature in mobile - would really use it in the Windows app/browser/Mac app. The ability to take a chat message, or channel message, and from the '. . .' menu have the forward option, where you can forward the message to another person, or to another channel/team.
That would help us use group chat for conversations outside of the team with non team members, then take the final message that has a solution to a 'problem' and pass it back to the team.

  10. Appear offline

In Skype I was used to (occasionally) use the 'Appear offline' functionality.

Apart from 'Appear away' Skype has a last option that also leaves your status indicator empty/white.

I find this especially helpful when you really need to focus and want to 'slightly divert' colleagues to send you an email who otherwise might have contacted you directly through Teams.

Could you please add that functionality?

  11. reply back to a specific message

On the mobile app you have the functionality to swipe back to reply back to a specific comment however with the desktop version there is no feature to reply back to a specific comment unless you click on the format button, click the quote button, copy and past the comment double click enter and then you can enter your comment which is a long winded and very user unfriendly.

Is there no spec to get a reply back feature if you click on the "..." for More Options to have a reply back option and or forward option on the…

  13. Offer a native Windows on ARM (ARM64) version.

It'd be great if Teams had an ARM64 native client for Windows on ARM. I just got a Surface Pro X and while Teams works fine as a 32bit x86 app in emulation, I have no doubt it'd really shine as a native ARM64 app.

  14. Teams will auto create shortcut on desktop and duplicate shortcuts will be synced to OneDrive Known folder

The problem is that a separate shortcut is created on each and every machine that a user logs on to. With OneDrive known folder move enabled in the environment, users of multiple machines end up accumulating a heap of duplicate Teams desktop shortcuts.

  15. Please disclose the logic regarding the “Recommend” and “Trend” notification functions.

There are "Recommend" and "Trends" in the notification function.
However, there is no information about this notification.
Please disclose the logic of operation.

  16. Have multiple windows concurrently (side by side if needed)

Currently there is no way( or at least it is not obvious) to have multiple windows. For instance in the file I would like to be able to see different folders at the same time.

  17. Should be able to reply to messages from the Desktop App

As of now the user can reply to a recent message in the teams android app but that feature is not available in the Desktop Version.

  18. Team Dashboard / Landing Page

When you click on a Team, it would be nice if you got a dashboard for the team / landing page instead of going directly to the "general" channel.

This would be a great place to roll-up information for activity in the team:
    - recent conversations (from all channels within the team)
    - recent or all documents (similar to the OneDrive landing page, but scoped to the Team
    - search
    - membership list
    - pinned content
    - static content (to post general team information)

  19. consistent and flatten UI and badges

There are WAY too many tab-like layers in the UI leading to many ways to see the same content and inconsistent badges/indicators.

    Suggestions:
    1. Remove the side bar with "Activity", "Chat", "Teams", etc. Switching between them constantly is very annoying.
    2. "Activity" should cease to exist. I should be able to see the most recent activity in a flat UI via badges.
    3. Make badges or indicators consistent. Using a red badge for unread messages AND then on the contacts using a red badge for busy status is very confusing to a casual glance to see what you missed. I…

  20. Full width chat

On desktop, chat takes up only the center of available field. Woiuld be much better use of space, if the chat was full width
