  1. View bookmark for Saved messages

I appreciate the new Reactions for messages. However, I also rely very heavily on Saving messages. Since adding the new Reactions, the bookmark for saved messages is no longer visible on the message without opening the context menu -- this is very inconvenient. Please display the bookmark again on the message! Thanks

  2. Create a separate chat window in Teams

Instead of having to select the Chat category within teams and using the large teams screen, I would like to have a separate chat window as well as Chat Icon at the bottom toolbar.

  3. Multiple chat windows Multitask

Feature from Skype for business when I am in a meeting where screen share is occurring I typically like to continue to engage with chat discussions with people that are not part of that current running meeting. With Teams you have to stay in the share or the chat session directly and not able to easily to multi-task. The best thing I could say is needed is ability to pop out a chat window with additional members without having to flip back and forth so I can put my meeting that is shared on a 2nd monitor while being able…

  5. Reply

Often, the <--Reply appears hidden behind the "Start a new conversation" field. This results in forking conversations rather than keeping all under a single topic thread.

Could the Reply button move out where we already expect to see Conversation tools?

  6. Standalone 'Chat' Interface

While I understand that one goal of Teams is to bring all of the tools under one UX, Microsoft should consider allowing for a break out of the 'Chat' tool for user experience. While there are a number of use cases, one simple example of need is where something is being edited or viewed in the teams UX and a 'Chat' comes in, if the user clicks to view the chat, they lose their place in whatever file or video they were viewing their their other respective channel. The preference would be to have chat in one window, and the…

  7. Usage of Teams once, breaks ability to use Skype

Dear Admins, please get on the same page as your design teams and support staff, they’re giving users contradicting information.

I just had a conversation with Microsoft Support about the ability for a Skype user to talk to a Teams user…basically at this time there is no such thing as interoperability despite their documentation regarding coexistence modes.

The very minute a user even tries Teams just once…they break the ability to use Skype to talk to you if you’re using Teams. Apparently it’s been in this broken state for months and is “by design.”

Here’s the quote from the rep,…

  9. Make Planner (and other apps) sticky to the sidebar.

I do a lot of work across teams and I want to click into Planner just like Chat or Activity to easily see all tasks across teams. Sortable by priority/due date pls.

  10. Controll "Hidden teams"

I would like to make the users can control enable or disable "Hidden teams" on Teams.
When the user have a lot of teams, some teams are hidden automatically. And the user need to clink on "Hidden teams", then he/she can find it.
Actually, the user feels the inconvenience about this design because he needs to click on every time to find those teams.
So, if there is any way to disable "Hidden teams"(Which means showing all teams), it will be more user friendly.

  11. Too much wasted space used, you need a compact view with the ability to hide the side bar, pictures and the chat field is way too wide.

  12. Turn off auto-hide

Yesterday was my first experience with autohide for "unused" teams. When I undid the autohide, I had to resort all those hidden teams manually (I keep my teams sorted alphabetically, which Teams makes us do manually for some crazy reason. Anyway, UX first principles...Teams shouldn't determine FOR ME what's "unused" and needs to be autohidden. Particularly if it makes me redo work. I barely have the time to learn how to use teams and convince others to use it. Don't sink your own ship by taking away user control. Listen to your UX team!

  13. Compact mode

I really like Teams. I do. But the current chat layout is not suited for professional chats. It's way to space consuming. It looks like something imported from MSN with smiley's that take half of the screen. I would say that Slack have nailed it because they focused on the ability keeping a tight window with lots of chat text visible. In Teams the window is full and starts scrolling after like 10 sentences.

  14. Move the "Saved" messages button to the sidebar ("Activity", "Chat", "Teams", etc...) for more visibility and faster accessibility.

Saving messages in teams is helpful, a lot of people I talked to didn't know this was a thing. I told them about the "Saved" messages button when you click on your profile picture. Moving this to the sidebar can provide more visibility and faster accessibility.

  15. Separate Individual chats from Meeting chats

One of the biggest issues I have with Teams is individual chats getting lost among the meeting chats. Many of the meetings are things we get pulled into that I don't care about to start with. Manually having to hide 5-10 of these a day is tedious. When I'm on the Chat tab, I'd like to see individual chats. When I'm on the Meetings tab, I would expect to see Meeting chats. If nothing else, maybe a dropdown filter to choose which chats to show on the Chat tab would suffice.

  16. Customize Applications within Sidebar (Drag-and-Drop)

I'd like the ability to have full control over how the sidebar is organized. Currently, you have to click the 3 ellipses to view any connected apps as well as access them. Maybe have the list scrollable or drag-and-drop the applications into any order and snap into place. Maybe integrate the ability to unlock and lock the sidebar view so you don't accidentally reorganize the app list unintentionally.

  17. Please update the UI to something modern and get rid of the whitespace.

The UI as it is now leaves a ton of white space on both sides on larger screens. It's a simple fix and not an issue with any other similar application. Slack, Rocket.Chat, Mattermost, Gitter, Discord all have modern UIs. Why is the most simple of adjustments being ignored by Teams developers? I feel like it's being done on purpose though I can't fathom what possible purpose that could be.

  18. Selecting "See More" should expand down but stay at top

When I click "see more" for a long entry, I'm immediately scrolled to the bottom. Instead, I would like it to expand down so I can continue reading at the same spot.

  19. Customize Sidebar

I would really like the ability to choose which apps go in the sidebar. It just makes sense.

  20. Notifications Sounds PLEASEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Please enable the option of sounds for notifications! I don't pay any attention to the bar, and there are users out there who completely hide it. Most of the time I don't realize someone has sent me a message until an hour later.

It completely defeats the purpose of having this feature. Can you please enable notifications the same way it is for Skype Business?

    Thanks!
