  1. Need PHONE SYSTEM licenses from Office 365 Business licenses (not just Enterprise)!

Currently MS Teams can only add phone functionality at the Enterprise level. O365 prevents users at the Office 365 Business Premium from accessing phone services. Changing from Business Premium to E3 is an extra $7.50/mo plus phone access at $8/mo plus the actual domestic subscription! A personal Skype Pro number only costs $6.50 per month!

  2. Allow the ability to paste customise hyper links into Teams to open a locally installed application.

We want to have the ability to paste a customised URL into Teams chat/channels. This will allow us to paste hyper links in the same way we paste them into Skype for Business chats.
This was removed from Skype for Business/Lync with KB2956174 and I fought with Ticket REG:116051614167831 to have the functionality restored for over 2 years.
Now this has been restored, MS removed it in Teams but wants everyone to move to Teams.
The lack of this functionality is a roadblock to us moving forward with the full Teams integration.
The link we want to use looks like…

  3. I want the ability to send or receive SMS texts within Teams.

I want the ability to send or receive SMS texts within Teams. This was not possible with Skype for Business but is possible through regular Skype. The addition of this feature would convince more companies and government organizations to fully adopt Teams--especially Operations Centers needing the ability to quickly contact personnel.

  4. Chat with Skype (not Business)

Our enterprise has clients that haven't Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business, then we talk they via conventional Skype.

Microsoft Teams should chat with conventional (personal) Skype accounts (such as outlook.com). I could do it in Skype for Business.

  6. Want to switch the account for domain-joined computer when signing into Microsoft Teams

If a user had different domains set for AAD and O365 tries to sign in to Teams on the domain-joined computer, the user automatically will get signed into Microsoft Teams with AAD credentials. But this is inconvenient、because I need to switch the account for sign-in.

According the following article, I suppose that this is a known issue for Microsoft Teams desktop client that it gets users signed into Teams with their domain-joined profile, and there’s no workaround at this time.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/known-issues#authentication

It would be great if admins can set which account to be used for sign-in attempt, or it would…

  7. Improve external communication

All forms of communication towards external users must be thoroughly improved so Teams can fully replace Communicator/Lync/SfB. Screen sharing, audio and video calls, text formatting, images, file sharing, emojis and so forth must ALL be present in Teams to fully replace SfB. The idea of automatically "upgrading" companies to Teams before this is in place nothing short of scandalous.

  8. Coexistence mode settings

After EOL of Skype for Business Online service on 31st July 2021, I would request you to continue the coexistence setting to be supported in Microsoft Teams admin center.

  9. Favorite / Pinned Contacts on 3PIP Phones

User was on S4B with a Certified 3PIP Phone
User Used the Favorites Option to Add Contacts/Speed Dials to the Device and/or Expansion Module of the Certified 3PIP Phone
User Migrates to Teams Only Mode
Contacts are Imported into Teams Client
You Can no longer edit the contacts that are favorites/pinned on the 3PIP device.
I understand that's its not a Teams Device but you can't expect us to upgrade all devices to new desk phones which were just deployed in the last 12 months.

Please make a way to have pinned contacts manageable on the existing 3PIP Phones.

  10. enable the ability to add people to private chat started with external party

when a conversation is started as a 1:1 chat with an external party the option (top right) to add people to the conversation is missing. this is a real problem causing people to end conversations and start a new conversation with an internal user in order to add the external user/s

  11. Add built in support for SIP video calling to allow native calling of third party video conferencing facilities.

There are free third party apps in the various app stores that are capable of dialling SIP addresses natively, including the free Polycome RealPresence Mobile app. Teams should have this capability natively to be able to call VC units, but also to include those same SIP addresses in conferences.

  12. Hide Edit in Teams

Even if we allow access with certain IP address only for SPO and OD, everyone can select Edit in Teams on a file to open and download files.
It would be great to have a feature to hide Edit in Teams as workaround.

  13. Fix the "This person is currently using Skype for Business. Some Microsoft Teams features won't be available." issues

"This person is currently using Skype for Business. Some Microsoft Teams features won't be available."

Under Office365, none of our users are using SfB, but most of them show up on Teams as unavailable for chat, with the above message, , even when their presence is 'green.' This is going to drive me back to Slack if not fixed (desktop app and online version).

  14. Reply with IM in Outlook

Replace Skype in the Reply with IM feature in Outlook.

Currently, Skype for Business users can "Reply with IM" or "Replay All with IM" to an email in Outlook. This opens the SFB client with a message to the email sender, or a group message to all recipients on the email.

I am proposing the ability to either replace SFB with Teams, or add Teams as an option to the existing functionality.

Ideally, once this ability exists, the key value is to easily move a conversation from an email to either a channel, a group chat, or an individual chat,…

  15. iOS shortcuts

Please consider adding some hooks for Apple’s shortcuts on iPadOS and iOS.

In my immediate tinkering with the new iOS update to 13.0, I was trying to make a shortcut to send one message to a few people by text and to a small group in Teams. Since there are no hooks/commands from Teams in shortcuts, this action is not possible.

With more ideas, this could be a robust addition to Teams on iOS.

  16. Show location on Teams like in Skype for Business

Is it possible to carry over the location feature that is in SFB into Teams? Currently we use SFB to show location and availability but with SFB being phased out for teams and Kaizala this feature would be great to add into Teams.

  17. Enable accessing to SPO site which added to the Web site tab without signing-in to SPO from Teams

It would be great if I can navigate to the SPO site page which is added to the Web site tab in Microsoft Teams without signing-in to SPO. Because, it prompts to input my credentials every time when access to the site. It’s annoying to enter user-name and password each time, so I would ask you to enable accessing to sites without signing-in.

  18. Teams Need to Support Jabra Pro 9450 just like Skype

Jabra Pro 9450 works fine with Skype but with Teams, it connects and shows in the panel but no audio in either direction. Needed for Windows and Mac.

  20. The Outlook "New Teams Meeting" button should respect the "End appointments and meetings early" setting

"End appointments and meetings early" is a new but very useful setting that lightly enforces good meeting discipline. It works for the regular "New Appointment" and "New Meeting" buttons, but not for the "New Teams Meeting" button. This should be fixed so all create calendar buttons exhibit the same useful behaviour.
