  1. Please add at least a "max auto volume" value to be used when "auto-adjusting the mic level" to avoid over-amplified and distorted sound !

    Far away from state-of-the-art :
The volume of my voice has limits, technology has limits, tools have limits, and Microsoft Teams is not able to handle them correctly: I just had a Microsoft Teams meeting during which we figured out that people don't have the control over the volume of their voice in this COMMUNICATION TOOL anymore, and sound is getting over-amplified and distorted.
The minimum requirement - or highest priority - for a COMMUNICATION TOOL should be to avoid just that, by giving people at least a basic possibility of influence.

Additionally 2 things are most annoying – Microsoft…

  3. Make Teams work with Dell 7510 Integrated Web cam. Teams dosent appear in web cam approval list.

Teams does not appear in the Windows list of Apps that allow camera access. Using Dell 7510; the Integrated web cam works for the WEB version of Teams, but not the installed app !.

  7. Drop out of calls, turn off "your mic is not working"

It seems MS teams and Windows decide jointly that the mic is not working, when using a state of the art Noice canceling headphones, (which cancels out noice also on the Mic when not speaking, in my case Bose and Sony)
This leads to a MS teams "Pling!" And a reconnection, losing 10-15 sec.
This does not happen on the phone which seems smart enough to understand that the mic is there even if not speaking.
Please check the arbitration between teams, windows and the sound/mic driver

  8. Support automated detection of certified UC (MS LYNC) audio and camera devices

If one plugs in a MS Teams certified UC device, either by Bluetooth or USB and USB dongle, please support the automated switching to that device. Also like in Teams, display that a "Certified device" is being use, e.g Jabra, Plantronics etc..
The detection should not require a restart, also in the settings dialog, we should see a list of devices that were pluged in, so preference can be givien, that way then one does plug in or pair the device while launching a call we don't have to restart teams,

This feature should support both MS Lync devices and…

  9. Utilize personal back drops to video calls by using your own pictures / screen shots

When making video calls it would fun and at times necessary to create your own background - maybe a panoramic stadium shot or the like.

  12. Number of people shown in a chat - Allow a user to suggest an array size of (x,y)

Cameras - Allow the user to submit how many people can be shown on screen at most for a conference. Like (x,y) for the most recent people who have spoken. Consider other bezel shapes like squares or circles to allow more users on screen at once.

  13. Improve ability to transition to Bluetooth headset

Teams desktop version is not very adroit at switching changes in speaker/microphone input/output. Use case:

    1. Teams desktop is open, and I have a bluetooth headset device (Apple AirPods for me) which is paired with my computer, but not currently activated

    2. A phone call or meeting is started

    3. I activate my bluetooth headset on my computer

EXPECTED: the audio will work on my bluetooth device, or if it isn't, there is an interface in Teams for choosing which device to route audio to
ACTUAL: The audio has not transitioned to the bluetooth device. There is no interface in Teams for routing…

  14. Be able to use the camera on the computer

If you are using headphones, you can talk. I have used it only once, and I was not able to video chat.

  15. Turn Mic on during Teams Meeting for External Users

When external users join teams meetings have Team automatically configure the microphones on their ends to "on". I keep having problems with external users not being able to add their microphones and we just switch to another platform.
