  2. Allow browsers other than IE to signup for the Teams uservoice forum

When using Edge or Chrome to signup for the Microsoft Teams uservoice forum it's not possible to accept the terms of service and therefore sign up. It's fine using IE.

By comparison, the Visual Studio uservoice forum will allow signup with Chrome and Edge.

  3. Android sign in issues

This has happened three times, and I think it's related to either updating the Teams app, or installing/updating other Microsoft apps.

The issue is simple, at the sign in screen it simply says "we're having trouble signing you in". No other details, or errors (frustrating).

The only fix is to uninstall -all- Microsoft apps. I'm guessing this must clean up some shared authentication token data or something.

If you do some searching on Google, it's a rather systemic issue.

  4. Spelling mistake in Help section of teams

There is a spelling mistake in the Help section of teams. details below.

    Learn about teams and channels
    Explore the Activity feed
    Activity feed basics

Select Activity activity to see your Activity feed, a summary of everything that's happened in the team channels you follow. You can also select Filter flash light filter icon to show only certain types of messages such as unread messages, @mentions, replies, and likes. Windows Phone users, we're sorry but you buys don't have that option.

Should that say boys/guys/something else? probably shouldn't say buys

  5. go ahead and log in

    Hi,
I've been using teams for a while, but since my last password change I can't log in. The windows application is continually stuck at "Go ahead and log in." I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared my credential cache of all msteam* items. I can't seem to get in regardless of anything of tried. I can still log in through the web application, but the windows app is not working at all.
    Thanks,
    Jon

  6. 10 Minute Rapid sign up

Let's suppose I am in one of the following situations:

    * I'm a teacher or lecturer with a class full students.
    * I'm at a conference doing a presentation

I want to create a team and add all the people as members. Which would be doable if I had a list of everyone's email. But often teachers don't have instant access to all of their students email addresses. Rarely would presenters know the emails of all the guests.

At present I could get a link for my team. Then convert that to QR code then project that on the wall…

  7. Microsoft Teams Configuration Guide

As an SBC vendor who's trying to work with a customer deployment, I have an internal configuration note on how to commission our SBC, but where's ANY such document that outlines how to commission Teams from Microsoft's perspective? IE, what media ports and protocols, etc?

  8. Explain what the product does

I'd like to learn what the product does. I did not find a Help link within the window of the product. The product was imposed on me through some project within my company. I do not understand the purpose of Microsoft Teams - it seems like a chat application. What is the benefit?!

  9. interface is vey poor

App will not open to recent chats. It is not customizable in that way. It will not let you delete a channel. When you click "Chats", it won't show your Team chats, only these private ones. The Activity screen doesn't show you recent team chats. The app is called "Teams" for goodness sake. But the hardest thing to get to is the most basic team chat. WhatsApp, Messenger, GroupMe, and basically all text apps have this simplicity. You're Microsoft! You should do much much better with this.

  12. Notifications dont work. I cannot find unread posts easily. Individual conversations run together and are difficult to separate.

Even this Feedback questionaire is clunky and lacks forethought from overpaid Programmers.

  13. Creating a new team is too hard

And even giving this feedback is made too hard. Make IT SIMPLE! Don’t make me think, should be you customer experience key giveaway!

  14. first launch tutorial

Teams introduces a lot of new concepts and features, especially for "non-millennials" but even for "millennials".

There should be a quick, interactive tutorial on first launch that calls out how this app works. For instance, what is a Team, what is a channel, what do @channel and @person conversations do/alert, what do favorites mean, use the add content to tabs for easy access, etc.

As a whole department, it collectively took us a while to figure it out (and still haven't figured out everything). Why not give us a quick, 30-60 second rundown of this very new concept of Teams…

  15. Don't ask me for feedback then give me tips on getting my voice heard

Your app asks for feedback. The link takes me to a website that expects me to filter existing ideas and vote, or to construct specific bug reports. This page gives advice on how best to get heard... You just asked for my voice but tell me I got to work to be heard?!

The android app errors too much, uses too much battery, and syncs poorly.
The main app doesn't notify by default on team channel messages, and there's no way of catching up with thread convos. Messages are often missed.
Status has been poor for years, marking people away…

  18. Make this forum work with Chrome (Cannot accept T&Cs for first post)

I had to move to edge and paste the URL across in order to post my problems.

    Woe. Is. Me.

  19. Outlook Integration - Email Draft Recipient check against Teams

Need help on the switch from the old paradigm of communicating to a team via email to the new one using tools like teams.

It seems people need lots of reminders, they often revert to the old habit of email even after being added to a team..

maybe some sort of outlook/teams awareness (plugin/etc) to help encourage teams use in some cases?

    Such as:
    <outlook notification>
All Recipients of this email are members of Team X; would you rather use MS teams (<link to team>) for this communication?

    etc.

  20. Microsoft Teams for everyone

Release a version of teams that is free to use or at least only requires Office 365 consumer. Make it the go to app for collaborating on non-commercial projects and with family members and friends.
