  1. Browse Topics

Allow a user to share a link to the Help > Browse Topics page and sub-pages. Currently, the only way to share the page is to tell the user to click Help > Browse Topics but it would be even easier if you can share this page and all sub-pages to quickly show someone how to do a specific task in Teams.

  2. pop signin on top of app window (Mac)

after installing Teams on Mac, the signin window should appear where I can see it and know that I am being prompted to signin. instead, the main app window with a tiny message "checking your connection" is all that is shown, creating the impression the app is hung. in reality, the signing window is hidden behind the main window.

  5. Dark theme help

When using the dark theme help content is unreadable. See the attached image for an example. find a color that stands out and doesn't disappear when using the dark theme.

  6. Newbie Mode

In group channels, if someone enters a message via "Type a new message" area (instead of replying to an existing thread) Teams will ask if they are sure they wish to create a new thread. (Of course the usual options in the prompt to disable asking again in the future.)

I would also change the "Type a new message" to "Start a new thread"

Perhaps replace the "Reply" button with a "Type a response" box.

  7. Modify You've Been Added to a Team email

It would be nice to be able to modify the initial "You've Been Added to a Team" email to include links to overviews or internal support materials, best practices, etc. This will help us guide first-time users in getting started in Teams.

  8. Microsoft Customer collaboration Site - leveraging the MS ecosystem

Sorry to ask here but I couldn't find another avenue to ask.

Does Microsoft have a community where customers collaborate with MS and partners to share best practices or ideas? If not, I would recommend you consider this type of functionality as we have found other customers or partners as an invaluable source for effective use of applications.

Example: As I try to understand the functionality and limitations of Teams, I have a fairly simple question.

What is recommended best practice for having a team site where you collaborate on documents and a small number of those documents need to…

  9. Minimum System Requirements

Would like to see what Microsoft's minimum recommended Hardware and Software requirements are for Teams, in a published document somewhere.

Does anyone else think that we should have this information from Microsoft?

  10. Have a comment system with simple / non jargon categories

    • Less is more - really gets confusing when you have more than 10 to choose from and I’ll probably choose the wrong one (which will pigeon-hole my suggestion)

    • what exactly is “power bar”, “surface hub” and “VPI hub”? My guess is these are for subsets of UI issues. I’m probably sending my UI suggestions down the wrong channel.
Does anyone outside of Microsoft know what these categories mean?

  12. Just make it work! So buggy!

Just make it work. Has issues and the flow still needs to be done better in the Teams app. What about Windows ink in Teams?

  13. first launch tutorial

Teams introduces a lot of new concepts and features, especially for "non-millennials" but even for "millennials".

There should be a quick, interactive tutorial on first launch that calls out how this app works. For instance, what is a Team, what is a channel, what do @channel and @person conversations do/alert, what do favorites mean, use the add content to tabs for easy access, etc.

As a whole department, it collectively took us a while to figure it out (and still haven't figured out everything). Why not give us a quick, 30-60 second rundown of this very new concept of Teams…

  16. Spelling mistake in Help section of teams

There is a spelling mistake in the Help section of teams. details below.

    Learn about teams and channels
    Explore the Activity feed
    Activity feed basics

Select Activity activity to see your Activity feed, a summary of everything that's happened in the team channels you follow. You can also select Filter flash light filter icon to show only certain types of messages such as unread messages, @mentions, replies, and likes. Windows Phone users, we're sorry but you buys don't have that option.

Should that say boys/guys/something else? probably shouldn't say buys

  17. Outlook Integration - Email Draft Recipient check against Teams

Need help on the switch from the old paradigm of communicating to a team via email to the new one using tools like teams.

It seems people need lots of reminders, they often revert to the old habit of email even after being added to a team..

maybe some sort of outlook/teams awareness (plugin/etc) to help encourage teams use in some cases?

    Such as:
    <outlook notification>
All Recipients of this email are members of Team X; would you rather use MS teams (<link to team>) for this communication?

    etc.

  18. Microsoft Teams for everyone

Release a version of teams that is free to use or at least only requires Office 365 consumer. Make it the go to app for collaborating on non-commercial projects and with family members and friends.
