Guest Access with Team Code or Teams Link
Allow Guest Access users to easily join via Team Code or link to Teams Channel. Adding guests one by one can be tiring when you're inviting hundreds of guests to a Team.

Able to allow guest access for special teams (o365 groups) only, not all
Same concept already in for SharePoint Online sites, disable guest access on tenant level and set for special single sites only "allow external sharing", must be possible also for teams (o365 groups), in same way, current situation at the moment a show stopper for us, current domain handling not a solution

Guest Display Name
How do you change the Display name of a guest AFTER the invitation is sent? There must be an easier way than this:

Allow Guests to Share Screen
While guests can now join a Team meeting, there is no "promote to presenter" option to allow them to share their screen. Without this, I'm forced to fall back to Hangouts or Zoom.

Limit guest invitation functionality to specified users
If we currently want to be able to allow guest invitations for Teams we need to configure Azure AD as follows:
Members can invite: Yeshttps://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-dependencies
With that setting all tenant users are eligible to invite guests to the tenant. So how can we achieve to limit the guest invitation functionality to certain users?
We previously had configured the following:
Members can invite must be set to: No
Admins and users in the guest inviter role can invite: YesThis resulted in being unable to add any guests to Teams even if the user was holding the guest inviter role.…

Restrict Guest access in a certain Team to a domain
When collaborating in a Team with certain people it would be nice if you could limit adding guests based on their domain. For example, I create a Team to collaborate with Contoso, I want to be able to add only people with the contoso.com domain. This will prevent accidental mixing up of different companies in a single Team.

Make Anonymous Access More Granular
Rather than have anonymous access just On/Off globally, it would be very helpful for admins to be able allow internal user or team exceptions for anonymous access. For example, allow anonymous access for the HR department to conduct video interviews while disabling anonymous access for all other internal users.

external sharing specific team
Currently external sharing can be enabled/disabled for all Teams tenantwide at once.
It will be much more flexible if the external sharing could be enabled on per-team basis.39 votes -
removing the need to do tenant switching when you participate in another organization's teams as a guest.
Hello. We have been trying to get our university community to adopt Teams as a collaboration suite. We run into the problem that external/guest Team users have to switch to our organization/tenant to take part in the relevant Teams in order to collaborate with us. The same also applies with our users participating as guests in other organisations. We are getting feedback from external partners, consultants and even from some of our own faculties that this not the best user experience. We also get comments that other tools on the market (even Microsoft skype for business) handle it in a…

allow guest access to be turned off by default and have the ability to add guest access for individual teams.
currently if we want any team to have guest access it has to be turned on globally. we want to have it turned off by default and still have ability to allow for designated teams. currently we have to catch each team when created and turn off and then turn it on for designated teams. this is a cumbersome process.

This should be fixed.

federation
Currently Teams Federation is provided through Guest access. There isn't much published collateral on the list of features (i.e. SIP to SIP or SIp to Other) defining what is required to build Federation with Partners especially where partners are on Skype and enterprise customer could be fully on Teams. Documentation is needing to provide customers guidance on how would you go about configuring with an OnPrem solution or what is needed to support federation in general. Full Federation guidance documentation is needed for these scenarios.

Make joining meetings by phone more intuitive
Over the years with SfB, I have seen users struggle when joining Skype audio conferences. Inevitably, they join both by phone and computer, causing feedback. I think the join process could be made much more intuitive for Teams by making just a few small changes to the meeting join workflow and making the process identical for both guests and hosts, using the client, browser or app.
When a user joins via the web or client, first present an option of which audio to join. I know this was available to a certain extent in SfB… but the verbiage can be…

Guest access expiry configuration
We would like to see some kind of configuration setting for guest access to expire after a specified period of time. Often times teams change and reorganize in a way that it may not be clear if a guest user still should have access. We work with contractors and consultants for a specified period of time and it would be beneficial for us to grant access to a contractor who might only be working with us for 6 months or so. When that contract is up then all access to Teams or any shared files is revoked. This would help…
