  1. Why not make a product that thinks about its users?

In order to have a platform that people find useful and enjoy using, why not make Guest Access configuration easy.

Why would you produce a 1665 page user guide that has unreliable interactivity from its contents page, but has NO PAGE NUMBERS? That must have been designed by an idiot.

Then to make things even less user friendly and unenjoyable you create a series of video guides featuring this gem:
    https://www.youtube.com/embed/vaJRRSjBxxY
    50 minutes of BS.

I'm going back to Podio. Easy to configure, easy to use, and I don't have to waste half ,y day wading through user materials designed…

  2. After directly inviting guest users to a team on Microsoft Teams or registering guest users on Azure AD, using PowerShell to check if those

When you invite external users to the team or add them to Azure AD as guest, it takes time for those users’ information to be reflected in the Microsoft Teams directory. So it would be helpful if I can use PowerShell to check whether those users are added to the directory or not.

  3. Separate Teams Guests from SharePoint Guests

If we add guests to the Microsoft Team, this seems to add them to the Office 365 group with read/write access to the SP site as well. We want to be able to have a guest on the Team but not necessarily also be able to access the corresponding SharePoint site.

Adding guest to the Team adds that guest user to the corresponding office 365 group. If we have the office 365 group as a "member" on the SP site (allowing write access to SP) there is no way to make the "guests" in that group read only.

  6. Let Guest access work like SharePoint guest access.

Let Guest access work like SharePoint guest access.
Currently guest users are required to have a Teams subscription in their own tenant. It would be very helpful if guest access in Teams would function like guest access in SharePoint Online, including restricting the ability to invite guests to only those already in the Azure Active Directory associated with the tenant.

  8. Guest Access Approved Domain List

It would be great to allow guest access for users in Microsoft Teams, but have the ability to manage a list of approved domains so users can not send guest access to sites like Google, Yahoo, etc.

  9. Restrict access to SPO sites associated with the user whose guest access was disabled

I don’t want users whose Teams guest access has been disabled to see SPO sites which associate to the team.

  10. Add pop up message in Teams

    *English follows Japanese
    ■Title(件名):
    Teams の "制御を渡す" 機能について

Add pop up message in Teams

    Teams で "制御を渡す" をクリックしたあと、実際に制御を渡せたかの判断がつきにくいため、制御を渡す機能の実行が完了した場合、ポップアップメッセージ等で完了した旨が表示される機能の追加を希望します。

As we click “Pass the restrictions”, we never know if we actually did pass it or not, add pop up message when we click “Pass the restrictions” so that we know for sure it did get passed.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  11. Provide admin option to default guest access to false

The existing guidance in https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/Allow-or-Block-Guest-Users-from-a-Specific-Team-in-Microsoft/td-p/175918 to allow guest access, but block from specific teams is good, but also needs an 'opposite' option.

It would be ideal (due to regulations we have to follow) to provide a way to default guest access to off, but then allow teams that have been guest enabled to work as they do currently.

  13. Eliminate need for Teams app download for guest access

Regarding the Teams app, we see that you are enabling guest access in more simplified ways. That is very helpful.

However, we are interested in using Teams for prospecting new clients and find it cumbersome to request that they download the Teams App. Is MS planning on a future model where there is an online version of Teams for guest users that does not require a download for guest users?

  14. Guest access expiry configuration

We would like to see some kind of configuration setting for guest access to expire after a specified period of time. Often times teams change and reorganize in a way that it may not be clear if a guest user still should have access. We work with contractors and consultants for a specified period of time and it would be beneficial for us to grant access to a contractor who might only be working with us for 6 months or so. When that contract is up then all access to Teams or any shared files is revoked. This would help…

  15. Get it to work

A customer setup a meeting using MS Teams. I usually use Firefox, which is what I opened the link with. The only option presented was to download the disktop app. I downloaded it, but it wouldn't connect to the customer's meeting.

If tried IE, but it only offered to download the app again.

Tried Edge, it was able to start a session and connect. But wasn't able to find a microphone to connect.

I was able to listen to the meeting, but had to type messages to other team mates to provide information and ideas.

    What a hindrance! Next time…

  16. Option to remove guest account (under Your accounts) from Microsoft Teams

As a guest, I cannot remove a guest account (under Your accounts) from my Microsoft Teams. I can leave all teams, I'm a guest member of, but I'm stuck with the account.

  17. Conditional access for non-compliant devices or disable file download for guests

We use teams to collaborate with external vendors, and would like a way to restrict guest from downloading everything off of the sharepoint sites where files are stored.
There is no way to restrict the data leakage for guests accounts, sometime like the exchange online / sharepoint online access for non compliant devices would be awesome way to get around this.

  18. Allow 'Guests' to have the same amount of functionality as a regular Member.

Allow 'Guests' to have the same amount of functionality as a regular Member. Or as much as possible while still keeping things secure.

When a Guest is added to the Team, often times they are at the same level of team membership / importance / contributor as actually internal Members and it makes no sense business wise to limit their functionality - arbitrarily - just because they are not part of our tenant.

  19. federation

Currently Teams Federation is provided through Guest access. There isn't much published collateral on the list of features (i.e. SIP to SIP or SIp to Other) defining what is required to build Federation with Partners especially where partners are on Skype and enterprise customer could be fully on Teams. Documentation is needing to provide customers guidance on how would you go about configuring with an OnPrem solution or what is needed to support federation in general. Full Federation guidance documentation is needed for these scenarios.
