  1. Enable Remote control for external contacts(Guests) when you share your screen

Right now, if you have a Meeting with someone that is not part of your Tenant, you only can share your screen to present what are you seeing at your screen; but if you want that the guest could take remote control of your screen this cannot be performed.

Please enable remote control for external contacts (Guest) in order to use Teams instead of Join.me or Teamviewer

  2. Allow anonymous guests to chat within a meeting

Currently, if a guest joins a meeting anonymously, it seems they cannot chat with each other or the organiser.

If someone wanted to use Teams to webcast to a wide range of users who mostly don't have a Teams account, and may be private citizens rather than organisations, the only option for them to join is anonymously.

But they then can't use the Chat feature to ask questions (which would be preferable to them using audio on a busy webcast).

Or is this feature already planned in and coming soon...?

    Thanks,

  5. Let Guest access work like SharePoint guest access.

Let Guest access work like SharePoint guest access.
Currently guest users are required to have a Teams subscription in their own tenant. It would be very helpful if guest access in Teams would function like guest access in SharePoint Online, including restricting the ability to invite guests to only those already in the Azure Active Directory associated with the tenant.

  6. federation

Currently Teams Federation is provided through Guest access. There isn't much published collateral on the list of features (i.e. SIP to SIP or SIp to Other) defining what is required to build Federation with Partners especially where partners are on Skype and enterprise customer could be fully on Teams. Documentation is needing to provide customers guidance on how would you go about configuring with an OnPrem solution or what is needed to support federation in general. Full Federation guidance documentation is needed for these scenarios.

  7. "Cannot request a keyboard control from the guest user"

    Hello,

My team would like to replace WebEx with Teams for Customer Support calls, but not all of our Customers have or use Teams logins. And, although Guest users can join a Teams meeting and share their desktops, they are unable to share control of their desktops. To more efficiently diagnose and resolve issues, we need to be able to request control of their shared desktops.

On the Sharing menu, the Guest login is unable to "Give control" and as the meeting organizer I get a "Requesting control is disabled by sharer company's administrator" error when clicking the "Request control"…

  8. List guest teams like Yammer

Instead of having to select tenant, pls have all teams in one list and mark those in other tenants with a globe. Much like Yammer.

Also have notifications displayed in the same manner. I.e one experience for everybody with no need to switch tenants.

It would give everybody a clearer and easier way of keeping track of all your teams, no matter of where they reside.

  9. external sharing specific team

Currently external sharing can be enabled/disabled for all Teams tenantwide at once.
It will be much more flexible if the external sharing could be enabled on per-team basis.

  11. Make joining meetings by phone more intuitive

Over the years with SfB, I have seen users struggle when joining Skype audio conferences. Inevitably, they join both by phone and computer, causing feedback. I think the join process could be made much more intuitive for Teams by making just a few small changes to the meeting join workflow and making the process identical for both guests and hosts, using the client, browser or app.

When a user joins via the web or client, first present an option of which audio to join. I know this was available to a certain extent in SfB… but the verbiage can be…

  12. Microsoft Teams Guest Access Request

Would be really nice if Teams piggy backed off SharePoint's access request system, and or groups. Or a new unified group guest access request experience was introduced to manage guest users.

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/set-up-and-manage-access-requests-94b26e0b-2822-49d4-929a-8455698654b3?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

Having those abilities for guest invites sent from Teams/Groups/Planner would be nice if they all used this UI so you can resend etc. Would also extremely help if you could see the login id that the users accepted on microsoft account so we know which account they accepted and are using for login to our accounts.

  13. Guests cannot access Wiki

When an external Guest is added to an existing team, the guest is not able to access the Wiki.

Error message is "It looks like your SharePoint doesn't allow adding Wiki tabs"

  14. Guest Display Name

How do you change the Display name of a guest AFTER the invitation is sent? There must be an easier way than this:

  15. Show Teams from Guest Tenant in Sections rather than switching Tenant

Instead of having to switch Tenant, why not add a section Guest where Teams from other Tenants are displayed while still displaying our home tenant Teams.

  16. Switching tennants takes far too long and doesn't show activity updates in other tennants

When having to switch to another tenant in teams for one of my clients the switch over takes too long. It also leaves you blind to activity on any other client unless you were specifically @ mentioned which almost entirely defeats the purpose. It makes you have to switch between them all constantly and this takes a long time. It becomes difficult to justify teams use this way

  17. Limit guest invitation functionality to specified users

If we currently want to be able to allow guest invitations for Teams we need to configure Azure AD as follows:
    Members can invite: Yes

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-dependencies

With that setting all tenant users are eligible to invite guests to the tenant. So how can we achieve to limit the guest invitation functionality to certain users?

We previously had configured the following:
Members can invite must be set to: No
Admins and users in the guest inviter role can invite: Yes

This resulted in being unable to add any guests to Teams even if the user was holding the guest inviter role.…

  18. Guest-Access not working properly

    Hey guys

I've noticed that a few things with your guest accounts aren't working properly.

    - I can't access Teams on iOS where I'm listed as a guest (working on android)
    - I can't access a Planner-List (doesn't load login screen) in a team where I'm guest.

These are the ones I noticed so far.

    Kind regards

  19. Do not allow adding guests to a Team from people picker if guest access is disabled

When guest access is disabled for Microsoft Teams, do not allow the ability for members to add a Guest. This option is disabled by default and can be viewed/activated by going to:

    Admin Center -> Settings -> Services & add-ins -> Microsoft Teams -> Settings by user/license type

This is a source of confusion for end users because it allows members to specify a guest user by email address in the people picker control. The Teams application then proceeds to sends the email to the guest user, only to have the guest not be able to view the Team after…

  20. Hide the e-mail adresses of guests

To be GDPR compliant we would like to hide the guests e-mail adresses by default in Teams.
