Hi there, you’ve reached the user feedback site for Microsoft Teams. It’s managed by me (Suphatra) and I’m a real person, not a robot. I work on the Teams team and sit in engineering, and its my job to represent your voice in the design and development of this product.

  1. Video and Screensharing Bug

    When initiating a video call, I receive an error message which states video and screensharing will not work for me and that I should check my video drivers. I have the latest version of Microsoft Teams (v1.0.00.15151, 64-bit) and my webcam works for other video call and screensharing services, so I'm confident my video drivers are up-to-date. Some users I work with do not have this same problem, but I am aware that others are experiencing the same issue I am. I am running Windows 10 on a Dell Latitude E6540 laptop.

    • Incorrect status in teams

      We have noticed that our Teams statuses are consistently incorrect. Even when some team members are active in Teams they are shown as "away" or "offline". For example, although I can see that my status is "active", my colleagues see my status as "offline".

      Can you please fix this bug?

      • Fix/allow selecting and copying text from conversations.

        Currently it's not possible to easily select and copy multiple blocks of text/replies from the conversation window, regardless of whether in the desktop or the web client. Attempting to select multiple blocks instead selects a single "reply". If possible, it would also be nice if the selected text were copied into the clipboard "pretty-printed" with nice formatting (includes user, date/time, etc).

        • @ makes entry bold

          The latest version of the Windows App (1.0.00.10951) makes the entire entry bold (not only the name) when including another team member using @[name]. If i delete and retry a few times I can sometimes get the name added without bolding, but it's very inconsistant (and quite annoying).

            1. When typing Hangul after the character ‘(‘, and a space, the Korean IME combination is broken continuously, and and we can not send messages correctly due to the broken IME compositions. (e.g. when typing (안녕하세요, (안ㅇ하세요ㄴ comes out.

            - Looks like it's only happening in MS Teams app since it's working well in Word and Outlook with the sample repro steps.

            • Bug: Teams restarts several times a day

              Teams restarts several times a day, it says a new update has been installed. I think something goes wrong with installing the update and then it tries the same an hour later.

              I run Teams as a standard user (non admin), maybe it doesn't have enough priveledges to successfully finish the update?

              Please fix.

              • Stuck in a login loop after password change

                I recently change my system password, with MS Teams is already up and running in the background. I open Teams to check new messages, and it locks the app with the pop up "Can you please sign in again? Sorry for any inconvenience. Login Now"

                I click Login Now but all it does is restarting MS Teams and show me the same message. I am unable to re-authenticate. I've tried restarting the application, that didn't work.

                I had to right click on the systray icon to logout and re-login. I should be able to re-login when the app prompted "Login…

                • Fix Planner / Teams interface

                  I created a Plan in a Teams channel and added some tasks with assignments to team members. Feeling constrained by the Teams UI, I clicked the icon on the teams plan page to open the planner website. In planner I can see the plan but it has no tasks in it. But on the "My Tasks" page of planner, my assigned tasks are displayed. I can't figure out how to tell planner about the tasks in this plan.

                  • OneNote is broken on Teams

                    Late last week, OneNote on Teams stopped working whether you are using the desktop application or the web based. Creating a new OneNote tab on Teams, it still does not work as well. All we get for a message is:

                    "We can't access this notebook.

                    You might not have permissions to view it, but your IT Admin show be able to help you."

                    Previously, OneNote had been working. If OneNote is accessed directly with OneNote application, it will work fine.

                    This appears to be a bug on Teams as others are reporting the same issues as well. Could this be…

                    • Clicking on a OneNote file result after performing a search returns "Sorry, we couldn't find your file."

                      I can navigate to the notebook via the OneNote tab, I just can't open it from the search results.

                      • Pressing 'x' to close window takes long time to actually close the window

                        In the Windows application, when I press the 'x' to close the window, it will take about 1-2 seconds before the window actually closes

                        • Pictures don't always upload

                          Copy/Pasted pictures don't always upload properly. Sometimes, they show in the chat window with a broken thumbnail image, but then they show properly on the second try.

                              • Reduce desktop client power consumption

                                Teams desktop client background running is draining laptop battery every couple of hours. See attached image. Additionally, since installing the client, whenever I have put the machine into sleep mode, it reboots itself within a matter of seconds of shutting the lid.

                                Laptop is a Dell XPS13 (9343) running Windows 10 Pro 1607 14393.1198

                                • Cannot share files in a Chat

                                  In a Chat, if I click either the PaperClip or the Files Tab, I cannot attach a file.
                                  This applies to both the desktop and web versions of the application.
                                  Have uninstalled teams, rebooted, then reinstalled the desktop app.
                                  Have OneDrive for business set up.

                                  • Current version has reverted to US date/time formats despite UK being set

                                    You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.0.00.14456 (64-bit). It was last updated on 5/31/17.

                                    My language option in the Teams UI and on the computer is English UK, but all dates/times in Teams have reverted to US format.

                                    • Big bug with Downloading pictures/attachments

                                      We found a big bug in teams latest build where when viewing the image (jpg), in the menu there is a download. Click on it, and nothing happens, and no files are saved anywhere.

                                          The previous thread has been marked as solved. However I still enounter that my MS:Teams does not auto scroll down with new messages and therefore shows me the New message pop up box in the bottom right corner of the chat window.

                                          Anyone else here that has these issues still?
