If I have a Teams Colleague with the name Robert Vanderplank and I search for the name Rob Vanderplank the Teams Search results return no results. I have to enter his full name as Robert Vanderplank to find his contact.

It would be very useful if Teams could search using partial names as well as the full name.

The new command box launched on Jan 31, 2018 is great!

   However the /chat is missing from the list of features.

It would be great to /chat then enter a name or a few names. Then be able to send them a chat message instead of always having to mouse into the Chat tab, then search or add them to the list. Thanks!

I'd like to be able to add Keywords from a list to a conversation, document etc. For example we post meeting notes in a PDF, and then notify staff to their location with a link, but it's hard to know what's IN the PDF, so we add headings from the PDF at the bottom of the post so that it becomes searchable. I just don't want to type them in every time, so it would be nice to choose them from a list.

Add search on every chat session not just a common one. Its really hard to search globally. Adding a search option under each chat session would help a lot.

Bookmarks would be a whole lot more powerful when it would only display the bookmarked conversation - should not be too difficult, right?

(the current setting only 'jumps' back in the timeline with all the other conversations on display, too - which isn't helpful when trying to focus only on my bookmarked conversation, really)

add search operators to teams, quotes, minus, AND, OR, in (team/channel), etc.

Search bar needs to find items w/out taking into account caps or lowercase. ex TENNIS or tennis- ruins functionality.

Add modifiers similar to Outlook such as "From:", "In:", etc.

Teams data are secure trimmed so SP central search should offer results for public and private teams include main classifications, scopes like documents , channels , etc because the SP Intranet is the starting point for everyone, if not alternate vendor for central search required.

Somehow when you search for a team name in the iPad version, there is no results, or the wrong. I expect to get the team names.

For example when the conversation is very long or there is many files in some teams, it would be very usefull to have search engine to find the thing you want to find.

Searching for people by their AD username sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. It's incredibly frustrating, especially if they fall into/out of the suggestions as you type more letters of their name.

For example, there are certain people I consistently can never find by username, but I can find them by searching their last name. Other people can be found by username just fine.

Hello, my boss told me to email, when he created a class team in Microsoft Teams he see himself on both this and another tenant but when creating an PLC team he won't find his other account on the other tenant as a Guest account, any answer why this can be a problem?

When you search users using search form in Microsoft Teams, there are 5 suggestions maximum although you want to view more than 5.
It would be nice to have a feature that could change the maximum view of the number of suggestions when you have users more than upper limit in search. So that we can reduce the cost.
