  1. Click and drag for horizontal scrolling in Planner

    It would be good if I could click anywhere other than the cards and drag left or right for horizontal scrolling on desktop just like swiping left and right work on mobile.

    It is little inconvenient to be using the scrollbar at the bottom or the middle mouse button - which does not have smooth scrolling.

  2. Planner board compact view

    The planner boards are way to space consuming, which results in too much scrolling and limits good task oversight. Please add a compact view option, that reduces card size, as well as card spacing.

    Ability to arrange tasks e.g. (1) chronological process tasks need to be done in; (2) in order of due dates; etc.

  4. Has anyone come up with a hack to add tasks to a private channel?

    Hi, it is clear that there is no ETA to add Planner to private channels :( So has anyone come up with a hack to manage private (internal) tasks that are only seen by a select group? e.g. repurpose the wiki tab or another idea? I'm not super interested in 3rd party apps because of the chance they collect and mine the data...Thanks in advance to this brilliant community!! :)

  5. Planner History / Snapshot

    Be able to create a snapshot / restore point for a planner file to be able to go back and look at previous states (e.g. start of every week). This should be able to be scheduled to occur automatically and post a link or chart screenshot in the channel.

  6. Add calendar (schedule view) for all 'my tasks' in planner, across all plans

    In planner, you can see all of your tasks, across all plans, but you can't see them in a calendar. In an individual plan, you can see this in 'schedule'. I understand you can accomplish this through outlook, but our team would rather stay in Teams/ planner when reviewing all open items.

  7. Improvements for Teams Planner

    Following items is a must for the Teams Planner:
    1. WYSIWYG editor in comments and notes sections, so we can manipulate text and highlight important text elements.
    2. Attachments limit is set to 9 items. This should be removed or option added to increase amount of attachments.
    2. Option to add files from PC. Now its only sharepoint, not very handy.
    3. Very important! Notifications are sent only to those people who made comment in the comments section. Even if there are 10 people assigned to the task, those will not be notified, unless comment is made, so this completely…

  9. Planner status report on task

    Need to provide a weekly status report on Planner tasks. This is going to people that will never, ever actually look at the Teams planner / project. the report needs to list all of the tasks with key details. An second report would show the full details on each task (eg page per task). Reports exported to PDF.

  10. Replying to a Planner e-mail notification

    When I receive an e-mail notification for a Planner task comment and Reply All, the comment is added to the task but the entire Team receives an e-mail. I would like to reply to the e-mail and have updates to the task comments without a notification to the entire Team.

  11. Copy Planner Task and retain Comments

    When copying a task, the comment thread is not a field option. When I rename a task, the old task name is retained in the e-mail notifications so I have to copy the task and rename to fix.

  12. Reassign Task Owner/Creator

    The task owner receives notification along with the personnel assigned to a task. If team members create their own tasks, I want the ability to reassign the task owner to whoever is administrating the planner project. I can get around this by assigning them to the task but then it skews My Tasks assignments.

  13. Add "Create task" action for posts in Microsoft Teams

    Add a "create task" action for posts in Microsoft Teams. For a post, when you click on the ellipsis and "More actions", the Planner "create task" action opens a card with the content of the post as the task description. The card lets you add a few other details for the task and if you save, would reply to the post with a link to the task just created.

    The card should be kept simple. Focus is on quickly capture the content of a post into a task and make it visible that a task has been created. The details…

  17. @ in Planner Task Checklist & Comments fields

    Ability to @ people in a Planner Task Checklist and Comments fields, with notification as setup in Planner settings. Would also be nice to have "Mention" filter to view these items (vs. Assignment)

  19. I want a shortcut to planner in the left pane, under activities, chat etc.

    I want to access planner straight in the left pane. Now you can open it by clicking the three dots but I want it permanently just like the calendar icon.

  20. In Planner, we're often being asked to provide a % of progress done. Other task systems provide

    We use planner to keep track of tasks, but unlike other tasks management software, we can't provide update on % done of a task.

    We need to provide an update as to if we've done 20%, 50% or 90 % for instance.

    Could a % progress indicator be added to Planner also, so that if status is progress that you can also specify the % done so far?
