  1. Copy Planner Items

    I may have multiple buckets with similar items in them, and it would be easier to copy the items to another bucket, instead of copying text between them. Thanks.

  2. View all Tasks for the Team

    It is great to now be able to create multiple plans within a single Team, but now it is hard to manage all the tasks within that team.

    Currently, one would have to go to each individual Channel's Planner tab to review each team member's workload. It would be nice to be able to view a team member's workload across all the different Channels/Plans, along with other aggregate data across the Team's different Plans.

  3. Planner: Filter by color

    As the colors in Planner are referred to different labs, it could be nice to have the possibility of filter by colors.

  4. Sorting in Planner

    I would like to be able to sort planner items outside of their buckets in Teams by various criteria (tab color, etc.). Different sort/view options should be available

  5. Slider to adjust the size of the overview - view more tasks on one page (unleash the potential)

    Summary:
    The maximum is reached with 10 tasks per bucket at a zoom-level of 100%. Not enough to manage business projects...

    Why:
    Complex projects of today cannot be managed with this small amount of tasks. However, there is a huge need for clever project management tools such as Planner.

    How:
    The easy handling of Planner should be continued. Therefore the solution should be a simple slider or a few view settings (e.g. standard, max x tasks, all tasks on one page).

    What:
    With this solution it is easy to see which project member has too many tasks.
    The challenge is…

  6. Bulk task creation in planner.

    It should be possible to mass-create tasks in planner. When you manage ad-hoc team tasks on a daily basis- it's manageable.
    But when you'd like to plan some work over a longer period of time and have a lot of tasks to assign- it's not suitable to do that one by one.
    If you take SharePoint- it's possible to create a list of tasks by copying them from excel (task list can be edited in 'excel-like' mode). Something similar should be available in Teams to really take advantage of the planner functionality.

  7. Using an existing planner in Teams, comments are invisible

    When adding a planner to a tab on a team channel in the Teams desktop app, any given planner task will not display the bottom section allowing you to make comments to a task. Neither will the task window show any existing comment history from tasks made from the web platform.

    This is a huge problem to planning - that action history on a given task, is invisible.

  8. Planner: Daily tasks

    A setting in Planner to assign a task or bucket to "daily" (weekly) that has to be checked off each day, but automatically "resets" each day. With a report or comment for tasks not checked off; would be useful.

  9. Create milestones in Planner

    It would be great to be able to create "milestones" in Planner, where we can assign tasks as being part of certain milestones. We can sort of do this with the Checklist, but sometimes each checklist item deserves it's own discussion. We also have the tags, but I'm picturing something a bit more explicit, similar to Github issues/milestones (see image). By assigning tasks to milestones, you can see clearly that the milestone is "met" only when the tasks are done. Currently, we've been setting milestones by creating separate Plans. This might belong in the Planner forum, but my only exposure…

  10. Re-occuring tasks for planner (Daily/Monthly/Quarterly)

    Possibility to create re-occuring tasks that repeat either daily/weekly/monthly and so on, or on specific dates.

  11. creating tasks in planner for teams by drag and drop from outlook

    It would be great to create a Task out of an E-Mail from Outlook.
    Drag a mail and drop it into the planner tab should create a new task.

  12. Add personal tabs

    Allow us to have our tabs like my personal Site tab or Planner.
    With personal tabs I can customize my experience with Teams and add functionalities.

  13. Assign people to specific sub tasks

    At the moment it's only possible to assign users for the overall tasks.

    Can you make it possible to assign people to specific tasks on the checklist?

    Currently, you have to create multiple cards to assign these tasks to individuals (which increases the amount of cards on display); if you could instead assign people to subtasks, then this would greatly simplify the overall planner view. For bonus points, having the ability to specify due dates for subtasks would be great!

  14. Allow Planner tasks to be assigned & flagged "private"

    so that only assigner and assignee can see the task, even though the task "lives" in a Team Planner. One of my VPs would like to use Teams but has a need to assign Directors with tasks that his other Directors should not see. He's using Outlook tasks for now but he'd like to have it all in one place.

  15. Individual Planner to combine all tasks from all teams into one calendar view

    Currently you can view calendar at team level but not at individual level.

    Would be great if you had calendar view of all your tasks assigned to you from every team (or selected teams) at individual level so that one can plan week / month properly.

  16. Planner Custom Views & Reporting in Excel (Export)


    1. It would be beneficial if we could create custom view in Planner (Web or Teams app)

    2. We need the capability to export to Excel. this would be very useful for grabbing task one-liners to bring to a meeting for example

    Basically, many of the site Tasks features are missing.

  17. planner desktop app

    I would like to see a standalone desktop app for planner. Or give the same functionality of browser version if planner in teams desktop app as a standard left hand pane tab.

  18. Planner Task Comments need notification updates

    When someone updates a task, it would be nice to see a badge show up so we know something changed on the task. I just had someone put a comment in a task but I got no notification.

  20. Create tasklists with subtasks. Link task together

    Make planner more as tasks in MS Project. Not as an replacement for Project, but create more details into subtask, scheduling and linking of tasks.
