  1. Ability to Rename Plans from within Teams

    We have found that some of our more enthusiastic adopters have used the same names for plans, although they belong to different teams. This makes it confusing when adding a new task if a user belongs to multiple teams who have created plans independently but with the same name

  2. Enable touch input for Planner tabs to simulate post-its on whiteboard

    When working within a Planner tab in MS Teams, it would be nice to enable touch input to be able to drag/drop tasks between buckets/columns, drag/drop names to tasks to assign, etc.

  3. Planner Assignment filter should only show people with assigned tasks in the plan

    If you're working in a team with a lot of people, but a specific plan has tasks only assigned to a few people, the Filter functionality should only show people who have tasks assigned in that planner.

    Right now filtering by person on a planner attached to a large team is more cumbersome than it needs to be.

  4. Saved Items Posted to a Planner Board

    Option (at User level) to post saved items to a specified Planner Board/Bucket and/or add a flow connector for this.

  6. Planner notification on due tasks

    It would be great if there was a functionality which sends notifications to assigend colleagues when a a task in planner is close to its duedate or overdue, so team members don't have to monitor planner all the time.

  8. Putting tasks on pause/on hold/ or a priority

    Would be great to be able to put tasks on pause or hold if another task in the planner becomes a priority and for the priority tasks make them stand out.

  10. Need to add Custom Fields and Export to Excel

    My company is looking for a service almost exactly like the Planner App that is embedded within Microsoft Teams.

    The only thing holding my colleagues back from the switch is the lack of customization which is typically associated with MS products.

    Specifically, we need to add a Project Worth ($$$) section to help us convert qualitative data into something quantifiable. Additionally, it would be nice if we could export the fields to Excel.

  11. planner icons

    Currently the icons in Planner tabs do not use the associated Skype for Business pictures and instead show the generic system initials. It would be ideal for this to scrape the same data that Teams is using to pull in the Skype picture as it becomes tedious to hover over each icon with the same initials to figure out who is assigned a specific task. I do not see an existing ask for this when searching here for planner.

  12. planner status report automation

    Scrape title, description and most recent comments from Planner cards for export to OneNote or Word thus generating a status report. Optionally, post as additional section within charts.

  13. Include options to move labels and tags based in priority

    Currently the position of labels and tags is fixed in planner. There is no option in planner to say, display the last 2 labels first. Say I want to use red for critical and yellow for important and these 2 labels are in different places. Need one option to display them together and also maybe to just display the labels/tags that I want and not others.

  14. Move a chat message to Planner easily and view its status

    Teams has a nice ability to retrieve an email address of a particular channel. It can be used to make a channel for support or feedback, but with the functionality we already have, the message can be easily lost. My idea is to add the following function:
    -in a new message, there appears a button "Add to Planner" (for example, under three dots button or right next to it), after you do it, a task in Planner appears instantly or after filling a short form;
    -after a user adds a new task into a Planner this way, in this message…

  15. provide a backup capability in case the system crashes

    provide a backup capability in case the system crashes either by allowing the information to be stored locally as a xls or word file.

  16. Manager View / View All Team Tasks

    Currently, when I open Planner within the Teams desktop app, I only have the option to see my tasks. I have direct reports whose tasks I need to monitor. So I need to open the Planner web app separately, just so I can see unassigned tasks within plans that aren't mine or to see tasks assigned to other people. That's kind of a silly oversight.

  17. Assign or categorise multiple tasks in one action

    Make it easy to mass assign (or label) tasks in a single action. If I have 100 tasks and all need to be assigned to one person who will then re-distribute them, and 50 should be under a single label such as 'Red' or 'Sprint 1' and the other 50 as another e.g. 'Amber' or 'Sprint 2', currently all of them need to be indivually updated manually.

  18. Planner - Allow percentages of each task to be given to different people which they sign off on when complete.

    Assign percentage of task to different members

    I know that you can assign one task to different members, but it would be great if, each member could be given a percentage of that task and then allowed to hit complete once they have completed their portion of the task.

  19. Reflect the name of the Team when an initial task notification is received from Planner

    When a task is assigned to you, you received a notification that describes the task, but doesn't say which Team the task is associated with. This can be confusing if you are a member of multiple Teams with Planner.

  20. Make Planner App more visible

    We have a lot of none IT-people in the back-office.
    I must show them frequently where the planer app is (an their tasks) because its so hidden in teams.
    (Click the three tiny dots, click on teams).


    • I wish i could modify teams so that Planner is a main button the the side menu

    • I wish i could set the app any as default start page, company wide, so they see every-morning their tasks.

    • i wish teams would cache things. I can`t stand this endless loading indicators while switching between pages
