  2. planner

On the Planner schedule tab, you should be able to go back to previous days and see "what was done" and what comments were sent for different tasks. We want to use this as a customer delivery tracker, but, if we cannot "click" on previous days and see (for reference) what was done "last time" then... it is not too helpful

  3. list view vs. board view in planner

Add a LIST VIEW for tasks for better overview and less scrolling :-)

  4. Microsoft Planner display

Display a list of the user specified colour key's. You can set colours to each action but 1) its so small no one can see it. 2) Noone remembers what each colour refers to.

Also need to be able to colour each bucket panel as required to differentiate it from others a bit more.

  5. Planner - ability to view amount of time employees are spending on specific task

A client we met with is looking for the ability to see an overview of where their team is spending their time in a given week.

E.g. Joe has 3 projects that will each take 8 hours. What is he doing with the other 16 hours in a week?

  6. Automatically populate a new task at the bottom of the task list (currently populates at the top and have to drag all the way down everytime

Saves a new task at the bottom of the task list in the bucket, instead of currently having to drag the new task to the bottom of the list every time, as we add tasks in the order they should be done.

  9. Inside a task, when manipulating the checklist the "Up Arrow" is misleading. It should say

Inside a task, when manipulating the checklist the "Up Arrow" is misleading. It frequently confuses people who think it simply pushes that checklist entry up. the notion of promote is confusing. Perhaps it should say more. Create new task from item, might be more intuitive or maybe the Up Arrow is a less than optimal choice.

  10. Tasks grouped in Planner tab need a more intuitive layout

Viewing tasks in the Planner channel in Teams is not user friendly. New buckets are added horizontally, requiring awkward horizontal scrolling, which is not intuitive!

Buckets should be arrayed and scaled (within reason) on the "Tasks" tab by default, with all buckets easily visible.

Click "Add a tab" in Teams to see how tightly the available tabs are grouped together. Buckets need a display option similar to this, with a single-click action to open the bucket and display tasks inside.

Hi, it would be really helpful, if teammembers would get a popup, if they were choosen for a task. in the moment, they get no information about a new task

  12. In Planner, ensure different people with the same initials aren't recorded as the same colour code

When two people working in Planner with the same first and surname initials are assigned a coloured profile circle (if a profile picture isn't uploaded), this circle appears the same colour.

e.g. my leader and I both have the same initials (KL) and our profile circles are both the same colour (blue). This is confusing at high-level glance, as it makes us look like we're assigned to each other's work, and/or makes it look like we've been assigned a mass amount of tasks that we haven't.

It would be easier if the colour of people's profile circles was allocated based…

  13. Manager View / View All Team Tasks

Currently, when I open Planner within the Teams desktop app, I only have the option to see my tasks. I have direct reports whose tasks I need to monitor. So I need to open the Planner web app separately, just so I can see unassigned tasks within plans that aren't mine or to see tasks assigned to other people. That's kind of a silly oversight.

  14. improve charts within Planner.

it would be nice to have charts and analytics to display which task assignee has performed better and worse, and for them to be interactive similarly to the Power BI ones. would be a good starting point e.g clicking on the status chart, on the "completed" segment, and having the Members chart changing accordingly. show how many tasks someone has completed.

  15. Assign or categorise multiple tasks in one action

Make it easy to mass assign (or label) tasks in a single action. If I have 100 tasks and all need to be assigned to one person who will then re-distribute them, and 50 should be under a single label such as 'Red' or 'Sprint 1' and the other 50 as another e.g. 'Amber' or 'Sprint 2', currently all of them need to be indivually updated manually.

  16. Option to set priority

Having recently added all my tasks to planner I realised there were some tasks that despite having a due date, I wanted to obviously mark as high priority.

Can we make this an option

  17. Owner & Member Roles and permissions

Both owner and members can change all the actions. If requires validation before closing the action by the team. And Action was closed. Only way to see the action closed is to go closed actions and check. Can we add a permisson group ?

  18. new planner action pop-up

Add the possibility to create a action in planner without leaving the current page. For exemple, you are discussing a power BI report, and you decide to take an action, it would be great to be able to click "new action" that opens a pop-up to just create the action without leaving the report/tab you're currently looking at.

  19. Ability to edit/remove comments on cards within Planner

The ability to be able to either edit or remove a comment made on a card within planner. This can just be at teams room owner level not all members
